Would bringing back free trade be viable today?
Abyss PKing was considered a nuisance to the majority so if you were to argue on bringing it back, I guarantee you that NO ONE besides would-be pkers will support your endeavor. NOBODY appreciates the frustration of losing their glories and all of their pouches to petty PKers and it serves NO significance whatsoever. Most abyssal pking vids are known to hide comments because so many players feel angry to the pker for making their hard enough skill, harder. I hope you understand my point because since some players like you have this "risk mentality" I like to call it...Why don't you go about your business and find something else to do besides complain to Jagex for making the game already "enjoyable to the many" so that you will be able to do things that will be enjoyable to your kind.

Commuting
So everyone, how do you guys commute? I spend about approximately 1 hour to get to school which is kind of a pain since I have to go through both the highway and city and it's really bad for my gas mileage...I live in a very urban area so my commuting usually doubles and forces me to revise on a earlier basis....>.> Also, I want to discuss driving and what kind of vehicles do you guys drive. As for me, I drive a 2000 Civic which is reasonably fuel efficient (depends on how well you handle steering) and it's the smallest car I drove out of like 8-10 cars I drove in my lifetime.

Would bringing back free trade be viable today?
lol. How is abyss pking a "legit" way to pk? I think most pkers will agree that it is more acceptable to pk players with the same respects as you. And will you go so far as to annoy the [cabbage] out of RC'ers just to have a chance at getting ONE glory amulet? Honestly. It's like a lion trying to fight a freakin' rabbit. Also, I meant to say it will bring MORE rwt. I am completely aware that RWT still exists today. If you take a look at video, you will notice that scamming is still easily performed so this may discourage newer players from trading.Jagex never really tolerated any of this nonsense and I am glad that because Jagex had to remove all this for their sake, I am going to support their decision and hope for the best that free trade never comes back. :) I understand that removing some risk may anger players like you, but understand that there are players who are new and aren't exactly as smart as more experienced players in the game. If the game is too hard, then players will quit and this creates a dimension that shuns away newer players which decreases the game's population. I played Warcraft 3 since it's release date (early 2002) and what I noticed is that all the newer players gave up because the game discouraged them from playing since battle.net matched new players with experienced players giving no chance for the new players to grow. If you take a look at battle.net for Warcraft 3, you will see that nobody plays because the experienced players also quit due to the lack of players in the game... I'm not saying that I'm right. Everything I said is just basically what I think about why Jagex had to remove free trade and modify the game to make it easier. And they clearly said that one reason is because they want to stop players from quitting in the long run.

Would bringing back free trade be viable today?
This is how the world is, i don't understand why we should lure ourselves away from it. Honestly it's good to be scammed 1 time on runescape instead of getting scammed 1 time in the real world. You learn to stay safe. Excuse me but isn't the whole foundation of playing any game is too have fun and not solace the countless hours of hard work you just lost because some whack decided to bend the rules? And I'm PRETTY sure there are much better ways to stay safe. Also, you can't compare the morality of real life to online games. That doesn't work either.

Would bringing back free trade be viable today?
This will bring back scamming, luring, rwting, abyss pking, and a whole lot of other garbage. No thanks. As for me used to being an enthusiast supporter of free trades, I kind of think the other way now. Maybe because I was a victim of constant scamming which happens a lot on crowded markets or perhaps because pkers gave me a hard time everytime I attempted to finish a clue scroll. I would like having players decide on the market for themselves but the trade limit is an adequate substitute because we can still implement junk trading and decide what items are rising and dropping. When more players are coming at this time, they will have NO experience with scamming should free trade happen. Staking is a great way to make money, but it may cause more players to quit and luring will be no worse since all the items released since then will be even more accessible and will be harder to defend against. I do NOT want free trade to happen. I think it's time people should just get over it.

There's quite a few reasons I don't, and they're all personal reasons. The main reason is because I want to limit my activities that I can do in this game because I kinda want to quit, but I like to keep playing to achieve goals. The less things I'm able to do in game, the better it will ultimately lead to my boredom. Also I still have a runescape classic mindset, where everything was hard and you did things with little help. I just don't like how summoning raises your combat level when you're not using it; it feels like a misrepresentation of my true abilities. I mean, I've done so much without summoning that everything I do is already second nature. I have better stats for my combat level that the average player. Plus, in the things I like to do summoning isn't a necessity (you don't NEED summoning to slay at all, its just convenient). Sure its inefficient when it comes to slayer, but if I wanted efficiency I would've turn to melee :shades: So in conclusion, you are NOT going to start WGS after preparing all those stats. Anyway, I respect your decision. Despite that, I think summoning does represent your combat level. A level 138 with a steel giant against a level 126 with similar respects can make a huge difference. You said you want to keep playing to achieve goals but also said you want to quit, which is contradicting and confusing because it kind of sounds like a paradox. I don't get what you want more but either way, summoning shouldn't interfere with neither.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Wrong. Divine is under purple. People take purple + 100M junk for divine. Yeah. Divine has dropped a lot now. They're barely going over a pumpkin + x. Idk if ely even has street value but I can see divine becoming buyable through GE price.

I'd go for it. The quest gives you enough to get to level 16 with ease.

Jagex's new bot punishment: Level resetting
Saw a level 4 walking by in world 2 with a fire cape...This example just breeds more rule breaking so more people could be like that level 4. They should of at least thought about making the firecape have requirements or better yet, never have implemented the level resetting.

"Life is too short to worry about highscores"
Yes. But to those who are above the highscores with billions of exp clearly are suffering from the stereotypes mentioned in the video. Seriously, how many hours do you need a day to reach lvl 120 dungeonerring only within months? I'm kind of concerned that some people might actually make a LIVING out of Runescape. It's almost impossible to reach a substantial accomplishment like 120 dungeonerring while you possibly have to work to pay your bills, commuting, and all the other stuff that needs undivided attention. It's like these people don't even do all that. They are either possibly filthy rich that life doesn't even matter to them or just sucking off their parent's finances for dependence so they just could make all that time for Runescape.

"Life is too short to worry about highscores"
When I saw the list of what other thing's there is to do besides making a lvl 80 char in WoW was just...silly...What benefits do reading all Harry Potter books carry over building a top notch character in a video game? Nothing. Time should be spend according to how you want to spend it. It's that simple. Seriously, think about it for a sec.... If you decided to spend your summer driving all the way from NYC to LA, you may end up stranded in the middle of nowhere, run into a gang of thugs and have everything stripped from you, get into a serious car accident and the only worse thing that can happen when you decide to spend your whole summer playing games is...losing in a game. The beauty of video games is that the consequences are so minimal because the virtual reality acts like a barrier that keeps you safe, comfortable, and entertained. This is why so many people play video games in the first place. Life is just too full of struggles and you constantly worry about what can happen for the worst. I haven't thought of what good things may happen if I had decided to do other things but honestly, will it REALLY matter if I met my first love or decided to make friends and have a "good time"? Like Muggi said, Everything you do will ultimately mean nothing once you die". I couldn't have said better. I think everyone is entitled to their way of life and no one should have the right to take it away. Ever.

Body Modification?
I don't like it. I was tempted to get a tattoo before (specifically a foreign letter one) but I've decided that it's better to show that I have enough confidence in my appearance to not get anything. Honestly, I don't like piercing on both genders. On men, it makes them look somewhat feminine imo. Tattoos aren't that bad but I hate the one's where it's drawn on every area of one part of your body (like your arm) is just EWW. Tramp stamps on women is a turnoff to me. Breast augmentation just makes you look like a skank, [bleep]ty, w/e... Tongue splitting makes you look like you have a disorder. (Sorry I'm not trying to offend anyone) Bikini waxing makes you look prepubescent (especially if you're a young woman). Time will tell. As much as I am against them, I do tend to change my mind very quickly. The closest thing I want to getting a body modification is the removal of my birthmark on my foot but like I said before, I have too much confidence to bother changing my appearance. :)

"Life is too short to worry about highscores"
It's amazing how he NEVER said "moderation" in that video ONCE. Disliked it. I'll probably never watch it again. I've been playing games for 14 years now and I LOVE IT. I treat it as any hobby like basketball is to sports and drawing is to art. I don't care how much of my life invests into games. All I care is how much fun I am having by playing the game which is pretty important. I never really seeked any form of social contact because I'm just not interested in it. I tried going out and doing what everyone else is doing and i gotta say I didn't really like it. Games may had impacted my life in a positive and a negative way but in the end, it's the positives that I will remember because the feeling I got from playing my N64 and the joy of beating my first RPS...I could give a rat's ass what the media thinks. I will play games no matter what video says otherwise.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Party hats have no inherent gameplay value. Spirit Shields actually have a use. I would absolutely swap a phat for a divine, as amassing pointless wealth is, frankly, boring, and when that's all that's left to do in a game, I usually just quit playing. Do all your posts have to look like it was written from an amateur who just got back on rs from a short term break? Seriously. It's obvious you don't own a partyhat, or never felt having one before for that matter so your definition of "frankly" "boring" is just as obtuse as your head is.

120 constitution
Sigh. I don't get why people have this "everybody has to be casual" mentality. Absolutely NOBODY will force you to get 120 constitution. Seriously. How many players have 99 these days? Getting a 99 has become so atrophied since updates will keep piling up more exp and all that crap. Pvp is now all about "will I hit that first 50-40 special with a dds" and "how fast will I be able to 1 hit KO him with a claw rush before he switches to prayer"? Ugh. I know for a fact that someday, when 1 million people (yes it will happen) have 99 hp, HOPEFULLY you guys will know how it feels like to have all that exp stacked up.
-
120 constitution
I don't see any reason why smithing should go past 99...It'd be incredibly silly if you can make dragon armor which should only come from monster drops. If this update was to occur, I would be around 112 HP...Putting me between 141-142 CB. Yay. And ofc...People will obviously go against this (Mostly the low lvls) simply because it doesn't encourage any form of optimal gameplay and some people will be so envious to see a fellow who's wearing a cape that outrank's theirs. See, This is why nothing ever gets done in Runescape. You will always have some sort of complaint because people will say they'll never have this or that even when someday they could have it and then suddenly say this was the best thing ever. It's always perspective.

120 constitution
Good. This is kind of what I was looking for. If you care so much about "a healthy gameplay" then by all means, LEAVE RUNESCAPE. MMORPGs aren't going to continue catering to casual players and they must acknowledge the existence of hardcore gamers who are eager to take on any goal. Some people like myself who are above the quota for all his nutrient needs can give a rat's-ass of how many hours I play everyday.
