  1. Dragon boots are a slayer drop. A pickpocketed dragon item, though, hasn't ever been done. forgot about boots <_< , Although it would be good to have a new cyclopse monster as a slayer monster to drop it, just to keep the theme of the other defenders.
  2. They said in the twitter hint that they were looking for a new way to release it. Somethign thy've never done before. We've gotten lots of drag gear from quests, monster drops give armour, square, spears and helms, skilling gets us darts. I'm hopping for high level slayer drop
  3. I've just got a hex drop after my very first soul gazer and decided to bind it. Only now i'm at an impass as to what to actually keep. My current binds atm are Prime bax, Surge box and now hex hunter. I'm just wondering if zeph+ arrows that apear on the table at the start of each dungeon are any good with hex or if i'm going to have to unbind my surge for sagi arrows. I don't really want to get rid of surge because it just makes warriors so much easier but if i do i could then also get a 2h instead of bax... I just need someone elses opinion. Update: decided to keep hex and try it out for a while and it is good. With prom arrows i can almost solo neclord by myself while rest of team unlocks last rooms. The problem is it stinks for anything not a mage so i have to keep a melee weapon bound, and its causing some problems. I think i will be unbinding it and getting surge back and either getting hood or plate depending on whatever comes first.
  4. I have an idea for ammy of zealots. But it depends on the pray drain rate of it with ultimate strength and/or incredible reflexes compared to that of piety. If the prayer drain rate is lower then that of piety wouldn't it be worth it to use ammy of zealots on monsters that you don't require high defense for since you would get near to same stats as piety but save p pots. only if pray drain rate is lower then piety with the -8 pray bonus.
  5. Works with uni, SAtk cost is reduced by 20% so it costs 16 points instead of 20. Theres a topic about this. so far they've concluded that all combat familiar's scroll's gets that reduction. ..And unicorns. which means no reduction in yak/fruit bat scrolls for example. Thanks, you do realize i am the OP of that other post. but i digress. And sorry i didn't see the new thread. I made a post on this one yesterday before yours was made but it got eaten up by the shield debate
  6. SO, spirit cape? Does it work with healing aura scrolls or only scrolls that do damage or what? And how much does it save.
  7. So moving away from the fact that shields suck even more then we already knew. How does spirit cape work now?
  8. Bilrach's descent began in the year 1225 of the 4th age, whereas Zamorak's betrayal of Zaros began around the year 2000 of the second age. Bilrach's descent wasn't until after the God Wars were ended and the edicts of Guthix put into place around year 4000 of the third age. well there goes my theory  But then what exactly is the rift then and why does he think it can release zamorak?
  9. frost webb and runewright couldn't help. If you read their notes you'll see that they were tricked by bilrach into making the first few traps in the dungeon. They find out about it though and try to stop him. And fail. They were both put under a spell and forced to stay on seperat floors of the dungeon and guard bilrach. So not lexicus. I've actually been thinking about daemonheim and the rift... Heres a thought. When did bilrach start exploring daemonheim?? We know that he summoned zamoraks general in the god wars but was he actually around durring the god wars when it started?? If he started exploring daemonheim before zammorak returned and started the god wars might he not even know about the edicts of guthix? Or even that zamorak returned already? What if daemonheim is actually zaros fortress where he and zammy fought and both were banished. I mean, we know that zaros fortress is somewhere in the wild since that was the bulk of his empire but we never knew for sure where. If this is true then zammy isn't in the rift anymore... zaros is! Oh the irony if jagex has a mahrahajatt of zamorak thinking to help zamorak and instead frees zaros. The smuggler could be silske. He is delving in the shadows of a long forgoten dungeon. But how did the second part go? Something about his actions being visable all over the world? The strange power was also felt all over the world. Might silske just be there to keep an eye on bilrach and make sure he releases zaros?
  10. Wise old man maby? I mean its not like there are a lot of people with white beards. And love my sneakerpeerer pet  Just to bad you can't store baby versions in the managery
  11. Awsome! Definatly going to save up for the potion scroll from dungeoneering. About the pray restore necklace though.... Will it work with bone crusher????
  12. Ah Halloween. The best holliday. You got to run around in strange neighborhoods with lions and tigers and bears. And of course the free candy. Then there were also the occasional family that really got into it and did tricks and treats. Seeing little kids run as someone poped out of a coffin was always entertaining. Then as you got older you got to play pranks on the people who failed to follow halloween protocall  Keep your porch light on but not give out any candy and we'll tee-pee your car. Eggs were for people who would give out healthy foods depending on, home made pumpikin seeds were great, toffu... thats an egging. I prefered the haunted houses over the actual trick or treating though. The creepy foods and such. Several schools in my area would make one every year and open them to the public and it was fun to see peoples creativity. My own school just neveer got to make one for the last 3 years that i was in it  The seniors made it a little to scarry and the younger classes litterally tore the place apart. Never could make one again after that year
  13. But making a game out of tossing the ball to each other is emergent. Even here, people are not thinking outside the box. Use your imagination. WRONGWRONGWRONWRONGWRONG Emergent gameplay is using something for which it wasn't designed. The gnomeball was designed to be thrown. Anything involved in throwing it is using it as it was designed. Alching gnomeballs for mage xp would be emergent gameplay though. Or using it as fiat currency. What you are talking about is making your own fun. Its not emergent gameplay, and I really CBF continually defining terms to people (not saying you here Danz, its on many other threads too) who are too stubborn to listen, and continually apply their own (Incorrect) definitions, and then argue their point, based ON THEIR STUPID, WRONG, ILLOGICAL DEFINITION. If you define terms differently, and I'm right here with my definition, then we are actually arguing different points. Its really moot to continually arguing what EG is, without defining it. BTW Katori is wrong, this is a mmoRPG. Thus RPG was designed. Thus it is IMPOSSIBLE to be emergent. What about using the onion coloured clothing with the pupetmaster emote and role playing with that. That would technically be emergant game play because i'm sure jagex had no intentions of having that sort of material in a game with lots of kids playing it. And by your definition then there can be no such thing as emergant game play. BOB's were meant to carry and withdraw items therefor using the withrdrawl option to increase pray xp is not emergant. Or even cannoning multiple targets in single with a cannon since it is designed to shoot cannon balls.
  14. There are a few different ways. The pressure plates and motion sensors are usually what are used in lower traffic and new areas. To make it so people don't have to spend a while waiting at a red when there is no one coming from the other direction. Basically the lights timers change depneding on the amount of trafic. But for high ways and places where there is constant trafic those methods just arn't needed. Those run on timers. Each lights timer is calculated differently and there is actually a formula for determining how long a lights timer should be. It has to do with visability and other road conditions but i don't know the actual formula. Each timer has to be set individually because of yellow lights. If the timer between yellow and red is to short on a road that is shorter then people may go through a red light and might cause a crash. To long and people might get used to how a certain light works and might just blow through it no matter what, again risking a crash if the light is changed or if they think that all lights work the same way. Also, main streets have longer timers then side streets that they intersect to help reduce congestion. Spent a season working with a construction company if anyone is actually interested how i know this. Was mostly grunt work but had a chat with a technitian when they were putting in a new light on our route.
  15. So are we supposed to disscuss fire making methodes that arn't effiicient but are fun? Personally i've done alot of shade and vyre watch burning for my fm levels. And then burning chewed and mangled bones whenever i get from slayer tasks. Ya it's alot slower then normal fm training but, especially with vyres, its fun getting the ocasional (g) or (t) armour and the ocasional good random drop from the other methods.
  16. Yea.. I didn't really get it ethier, but i think it had something to do which the colors, the red moved the orange, and the white moved the pink... (and they were related...kinda) I don't know.......... -.- I have the colors writen down if anyone needs help. Didn't keep track of how to actually do the puzzle though and it might be different for each person. [hide] For me it was clicking on Red moves orange orange moves turqouise green moves both blue and green pink moves orange and pink purple moves pink and purple beige moves purple and green turqouise moves red and beige and blue moves red and beige. [/hide]
  17. go to the guy in draynor Dyngo i think, and get your spider back there :P finished it already
  18. The puzzels were fun. The one with the ghost was annoying though, just because you had to start from scratch if you messed up and had to go through all that dialog again. I'm f2p atm to and eek is in my poh so would anyone mind posting what eek says durring the event?
  19. Melee with rapier definatly. It rips drags apart.
  20. Definatly C bow if you go to arma often. Or you could do what I did and get the range and mage prayers, stream and all the little things.
  21. The reason why the charm rate is so low is because the rsof was flooded with people complaining about how having a non combat skill give a decent amount of charms would be a bad idea. So don't complain to jagex about how low the charm rate is, the players wanted it that way after all  Depending on how many charms I need for 99 sumoning when i'm done with slayer i might do this for a few hunt levels and the last of my charms since it is more fun then other hunting methodes and not to slow.
  22. But I like holding my 2h over my shoulder. Seriously, you know how heavy those things are? Ya, the nostalgia is getting annoying but at least there are some decent suggestions in this thread. Having the chaos ele roam the entire wild would make hunting it alot more fun. Especially since you would then have to deal with reverent packs while trying to find it.
  23. playing some light music ususally helps me when i'm trying to get to sleep. Anything but country or heavy mettle.
  24. I killed Jessika. [hide]I don't get why we couldn't have killed grayzag, or whoever he is. Sure the queen still would have been summoned but she is summoned either way....[/hide]
  25. Beat it on my second try. If you do die or tele and lose the sword before you finish the quest you can get a new one for free in the queens portal room by talkiing to whoever you chose to save. Its safe in front of the portal so you don't need to worry until you get near the queen again.
