  1. in my case the main reason i quit wow was that simply if i wanted to progress in the game i'd haveto donate 4 hours min per gaming session. that way i could get a better weapon etc. then if i've played that 4 hours there is no guarantee that the weapon would've dropped, or some ninja wouldn't rolled on it and won it. i simply could not donate 4 hours in a block of my life doing that, plus no one seemed to want my hunter anyway. i played virtually solo till 54 then gave up. my daughter has a druid which seems alot more wanted and successful then my hunter ever was. rs i can play for 5 mins if i so desire. or however long i choose to play
  2. hmm i tried to make a donation, and got this: We have been unable to process your donation. We have been unable to verify your details with your card issuer. This may be because their system is temporarily unavailable of because there is a problem establishing a connection. Please try again later. i know my card is fine, as sainsburies was ok with it yesterday
  3. /me hits dru with a hai  ehh you want out? what is this out you talk about?
  4. gone from a ban thread to a flame war.... locked
  5. at dudley zoo and castle near where i live, they do mock battles and such in the grounds of the castle. you can try on the armour and such, and feel a bow and such- pitty i wasn't allowed to try any of them out   its a lil heavy for my liking
  6. i chose the box, and was given an old boot

what about walkies? works with my dog
  9. i'm 33 and have played this game for 4 and a half years. the net is for everyone you'know. not just lil kids who've only just got out of nappies a few months
  10. hmm all 3 of my kids own their own accounts, but my contact details are on there. why? i am the adult paying(if they are ptp at the time)- if there is a problem with the acc i contact jagex. i don't even know my kids passes(nor do i wish to- nor they mine) if what andrew said the other day then families should be ok to play together......(crosses fingers toes and anywhere else) at the end of the day if i and my family do get banned it'll just make the transition over to eq2 and wow easier. its 4 customers they will lose
  11. cutlery scraping on a plate, snoring (especially the dog) kids whining when they can't get their own way(esp when i have a headache), my alarm clock really annoys me
  12. i've paid 200 for a long time...
  13. could at least have added shredded wheat to the list
  14. hmm informing you how to go behind your parents back is not good advice, as once he finds out what little trust he has with you will go. i'd say don't try, speak to him, show him these forums perhaps- then he can read and make his own mind up. i'm a parent myself and i can understand how some adults might not like this game. feel free to let him know he can pm me if he has any questions. people of all ages play this game, its not just for kids
  15. why not on sodium?(and no i'm not going to try it)
  16. i've done something similiar before- i'd kill the dwarfs and make throwing knives to range at them. if i ran out of them i'd kick em to death. didn't time myself, but i found it entertaining, esp if you bring down a fire staff too- can superheat the ores they drop to help the knife collection (dart making can only be done on members- but you could make weapons/armour to sell the the store down there instead of making knives)
  17. Cookies and ice cream makes you unhealthy? Well thats news to me its not unhealthy in small amounts, just the amounts that most people who eat them aren't exactly small. i will happily admit i am overweight, i eat perfectly happily, and i excersise. but my body only has to look at a lettuce leaf and i get fat. i would love to be thinner, but i think i'll just haveto except this will not happen overnight. i will much prefer eating a plate of veggies, than chips/curries etc. (i do love curries tho)
  18. was so easy it took me almost a year to do it- i didn't know how to milk a cow lol
  19. i have played for 4 and a half years- never had a tanglevine, fraeky forester or drill demon. and i can play for several hours in one sitting
  20. They aren't telling you how to eat, they are just not advocating bad health. I assume you can still bring your own junk food from home, right? They are attempting to past state-wide laws where I live and recently stopped selling the "unhealthy" Gatorade. :P I don't know if I care either way. (I do miss the Chik-fil-a they use to sell <- and last time I checked, Chik-fil-a is fairly healthy. Maybe not.) at my boys primary school, those who bring in sandwiches are not allowed to bring anything unhealthy in from home.yet those who eat school dinners are allowed sugar ridden puddings in fact the headteacher pulled my 11 year old up in from of the whole school in assemerly for bringing into school a packet of crisps  That doesn't make any sense :P But also, is this school run by the government or is it private? its goverment run. update my daughters senoir school (also goverment ran) is also removing the vending machines with junk in, and replacing it with healthy stuff. and their canteen is at least getting a "makeover" as far as i'm concerned a child should be allowed to eat what the parents decide to give them. its the parents who should try and influence the children to eat the healthy stuff, not the goverment.
  21. the reason he was allowed was cuz he'd had grapes and something else healthy wise, so i knew he'd had ok food already. i make sure my kids eat a lil bit of everything, i don't see why i should restrict them when i know they get 5 fruit/veg a day, and plenty of the good stuff too

  23. from a parents point of view i'm glad they are doing something here about school food. its is grease city. thats one reason why i refuse my children school meals, ok sarnies are extremely boring, but at least i know what they are eating more than i do if they are having school meals. on a bad note, its all fine saying what we can and can't eat, but when is someone gonna bring the prices of the healthier stuff down? for anyone who is living on a tight budget, crisps are a hell of a lot cheaper than a bunch of grapes, and more likely to fill a hunger gap. if goverments want us to eat healthily they need to do something about the fresh stuff. i love my veggies, but i'd much rather eat a packet of crisps over an apple thanks very much  btw i think its healthier for people to go to the local chip shop and eat the chips from there than the ones from schools. at least they taste like a chip, unlike the process variety schools and fast food places call chips (by chips i mean fries, not crisps) but you can keep the chips thanks- much rather eat potatoes in healthier ways than frying them (yes i know i'm in a minority)
  24. edible seawedd used to come from doing the fishing trawler- not sure if it does still
