  1. jagex needs to get a reality check... the number of players in the past week has dropped by almost half, and all of my member friend have quit. why i am still holding on to runescape i dont know... wait... is that a light at the end of the tunnel? *thrilling music playing* shoot. it's just a firefly.
  2. dude, i literally fell off my chair laughing, i love these!

  4. this is actually true... you wouldnt make a profit, but it is true......
  5. I went to check a couple of cheating websites earlier. Most of the people are like: "It's over, looks like Runescape got us and our botting armies. Now let's invent new devious undetectable macros so that we can level up our main accounts without getting spotted". Yep, a lot of gold farmers are going to do this now I think. But atleast it's now 10x better than it was before. Atleast the cheater has advantages only skill-wise. Money-wise, the gold would be a lot more expensive since it's a lot more difficult to get it, so I don't think it would be muchof a problem. I don't really care about a bunch of level 50s who bought their accounts and are probably going to quit after a week anyway. I don't think this trend will catch much because of a few reasons: - People playing already have main accounts - Powerleveling and accounts are expensive and people would probably just prefer leveling the account by themselves - People don't care as much for levels as they do for money But still, Jagex needs better detection systems. I don't want cheaters to run around Runescape macroing on their mains while we are actually working for these levels. I love the way you think... :D BTW, what is the guy in your avatar eating? mashed potato?
  6. OMG i love this article! and in referenda to this thread, my friend had an account with the name of "iwinyoulose", and this was banned because, "it might offend younger players and discourage them from playing" Huh. i think you mean PAYING. i see absolutely no reason why you shouldnt be able to choose a new username if the "kings of reformation and fairness to almost everybody except those who ------- pay to play this game because we think we should be upholding 9 year old noobs who arent allowed to play in the first place" deem it necessary. (sorry about that... i needed to get it off my chest....)
  7. i think an i.q. test would be great... but im afraid i might not pass.... and besides, what would runescape be like without 9/10ths of its players?
  8. before i start, i have one thing to say: doomsavenger, ur avatar is scary! :anxious: this is a great read, and i do think that miniclip was slightly obcessive with promoting rs... on every page there was a banner ad..... on the little most popular list, what was in #1? Runescape!!! but i dont think that miniclip is the source of all problems... did miniclip come out with the "No more Pking!" rule? (p.s.) for all you mean people out there, dora the explora is not a cool nickname! :( ) (p.p.s.) stop asking me were boots is, ur not gonna get an answer! maybe i need to spend some time making a rant.... lol
  9. ya, i think it will become a harder skill to train aswell
  10. this one happened to me recently.... so my account got hacked by somebody, and as i was on a trip i didnt know about it for 5 days #-o so i take it in stride, (after swearing, screaming, and imploring the computer to give me my account back) and i start to play on my old account. i go to the lumby castle bank, and who do i see but some idiot selling my account for 10k! i was so humiliated that i was only worth 10k... :( so, i go and buy my account back, laughing the whole time, and i slapped him with 2 ban reports. i then go and change my pass and recoveries, and i also did a virus scan, and to this day my account has remained hacker free! :D (p.s.) the idiot probably sold it so cheap because he couldn't get my items... I love bank Pin's....
  11. mine would be: for free vacations, call reldo at the varrock palace, ext. 4677 you don't want to miss out on this great deal!
  12. I was told by some people that you can throw tomatoes in the duel arena. they of course forgot to tell me how to get them. if someone could help me out here that would be great! i will love you forever!!
  13. lol, the exact same thing happened to me this morning. that was a very good point, onyx. i love people who speak their mind...
  14. What we have here is a catch 22. You're asking me if I want to start a debate. But how do I express myself fully? If I answer yes, then I will have admitted to starting a debate. Since this is not my original intention then therefore I must conclude that I cannot answer yes. If I answer no, then by disagreeing with you I will have effectively started an argument, and I can be safe to assume that you will eagerly take part, by trying to prove that I did in fact want to start a debate and therefore we would have caused a debate anyways. Why would you want to start a debate about proving whether or not I started to debate? In the end, clearly if I answer no, I will not be able to communicate my message that I do not want to start a debate. Perhaps you mistook my logical conclusion for an invitation to a debate and frankly I don't really mind. What is, however, interesting is if you look back at the original post to get a bit of insight. Now the first thing that strikes me when I read this is the context. I was showing my acceptance of the "1k+ views" in this topic and all of a sudden? Someone randomly comes in and throws their opinion in. It seemed pretty odd that you would just toss an opinion in for no apparent reason so I ask you: why did you spent 1 minute reply to my post (which didn't concern you) with something unrelated? It's not like we were having a debate, so why the sudden opinion thrown in? The second thing I find strange is the tone of voice. It's basically saying: "In my opinion, I believe [such and such] and I'm usually right. That's just perfect for someone to say "erm, sorry but your wrong" and thus start a debate, except that according to you, you were not trying to start a debate. The "in my opinion" stresses the fact that this is an opinion, which makes it very much prone to debating. Except that, according to you, you were not trying to start a debate, so quite honestly I don't see why post with such a tone of voice. The "I'm usually right" part is used as a vague form of justification. Why is it even included? It makes it sound like you're trying to start an argument except that, according to you, you were not trying to start a debate. Now back to the catch 22. If I was to reply, we could end up not only having a debate over whether or not I wanted to start a debate, but also a debate over whether or not your reply was an attempt to start a debate. That leaves only one solution left: We both shut up and let this thread get back on topic. That's exactly why I pointed out that this thread was an exception to your rule. I wasn't trying to start a fight at all, in fact it seems that I was helping you improve your research by showing a specific scenario where your theory doesn't fit. You should be thanking me. Although I do sympathize with you, because I make the same kinds of statements:. You know, just by looking at a person's username, I can generally tell the maturity of the person, and I'm also even more usually right : Just the way Winston Churchhill woud have said it! =D> :D
  15. did you go and whack him over the head after that?
  16. my first runescape death was actually quite sad, as i died at the hands of someone trying to help me... (sobbing).... zanyways, so i not 5 minutes old when a guy walks up to me and gives me full iron... i though it was the best thing in the world... i spent 30 seconds wondering how rich that guy must have been... lol... i then go gallivanting off to varrock to show off by the fountain in the town square. some person sees me braggin and says, person: dude, iron armor is lame me: ur just jealous. all you have is stupid blue armour person: you are evidently new.... me:how'd u know? person: nvm, i know were you can get some better armor me: get lost! you just want my cool armor! person: ok........... w/e..... me: (i suffer a sudden change of heart) ok, take me to were you can get better armor person: ur wierd, but ok (he starts to run to the south exit of varrock) --------------- sooooo. we eventually get to that stone circle were there are those dark wizards, you go there during the demon slayer quest, and we run right through. i got jumped by all the wizards, and died in about 2 seconds. it happened so fast i didnt know what hit me. i lost some of my precious iron armor, 5 feather, 13 gp, and all my tutorial island stuff. i was filled with rage for about 6 seconds, then the only thing i could think of was... REVENGE!!!!! so, i phone my friend and tell him what happened. he showed no sympathy (gasp) and instead told me to get a grip. i finally decided to quit runescape forever. (i was back on 5 minutes later) --------------------------------------- so, i hope you all enjoy this extremely long tale of my first death!!!! farewell, doradoswim
  17. I have never been scammed by a friend, but then again i only have 2... both i met in runescape killing moss giants. We often lend/give eachother items and advice, and we also help eachother with skilling and quests. Lolol, i still don't know one of my friends first names.... But hey, he once let me parade around runescape for a whole day in his Blue Phat! But i have been scammed for probably the amount of 1mill my random strangers.... i never learn... #-o #-o
  18. My opinion: I will stick with runescape until it sinks beneath the lava maze!!!!!! I love the cheesy graphics, (i love games with bad graphics), and i also love games that are set in the same time period as Stronghold. I have also worked too long and waaay too hard to just quit! If there is 5 years left, that means that we have 157,680,000 seconds left until Jagex makes runescape a second-priority game!! Start Counting!!!! Ok, now to calm down a bit.... Firstly, i dont't think that jAgex has the financial means to support another MMORPG. I think that the nature of these new games might be slightly moving in the AdventureQuest direction. Secondly, I don't think runescape will disappear of the face off he planet. They might reduce it down to about 10 worlds or so, and stop making updates for it, but i think it will be more like rsc; were if you dont play for a while, your account gets deactivated. A good thing that would come of this is that there would finally be a time when you could walk without seeing a wanna-be monk with green pant and a tan shirt! Now, for all of the people who think, "5 years only??? No more updates?!!?!?! That's crazy!!!!", Think of all the updates they will put in during the next 5 years.... Runescape has only been around for about 4... I also think that to save from financial loss and maybe embaresment, runescape will still be fully operative until the new games either a: do well, or b: crash and burn. I mean, if they Shrink runescape, then bring in the new games, and if the new games bomb, they will have to go to the time and effort to bring runescape back up to size. Then people will wonder, "hey, why did they take away runescape in the first place?" BINGO! JaGex looks bad! ( i'm not saying this will happen, just saying it might be a possobility) In closing: I think that this situation is kindof like a treasure trail. You get the clue, and then you don't know how long or hard the journey is gonna be, or what reward your gonna get when you reach the end. P.S. I think all the talking about that Bandos guy and the d2h wielder in the background is a little overrated and off-topic (just my opinion...)
  19. I have 3 accounts, Doradoswim: my main that has actually only seen 218 hours of rs... I timed with a watch.... Zandrocles: a lvl 3 moss giant wildy scout Prince Sdp: Named in honor of a friend, this is my mining scout Tri Freak: This account i gave to a person after he threatened to clobber me.... he then SOLD the account, and the person who bought it gave it to my friend, who then gave it back to me, and, because i don't want it, i gave to some random person in the goblin village, and after that, i dont know what happened to him... R.I.P., Tri Freak :( Well, thats about it.... If you ever see Tri Freak, ask him how he is doing

  21. I personnaly think that this kind of thing could either make or break the merchanting community. There are loads of great things about it, but there are also huge numbers of things that might have a negative effect. For example: If there are 500 people posting a rune scimitar, in order for person x to achieve a sale, he must put his price lower then any other on the board. Thus, price would slowly decend. 30k, 29.5k, 28k, 25.7k, 23.4k, 22.1k, 20.8k..... I am just not sure if this would be good or not... I am leaning towards "not" :(
  22. my bad, thanks for correcting me
  23. I seriously don't think that the shop update has done anything except shove street prices down. Also, the runite items market seems to mysteriously be going up again rune scim were 15k a couple months ago, now they are back at 29k, (sorry if that was a little off topic  . anyways, you will still see those %$&* bots sitting inside stores buying away, as the runescape prices don't bother them. they buy the items to sell for real-world $. why someone would even buy an item for cash makes no sense to me.... :-k :-s :?: Thanks for reading my post :-#
  24. One of the things i most detest about Pking is when you are a: walking around, enjoying the scenery... or lack of it... wearing nothing but a pair of gloves, and maybe a iron scim from the boneyard; or, b: when you go into the wilderness to level up on skeletons or hobgoblins or even mossys or ice giants, and someone just walks up and immediatly starts attacking you. It never really affects me, as i only ever wear 4 pieces of armour, but they don't even stop to ask, "wanna fight?". They are like rabid dogs, attacking without the least provocation. But what is worse is not the dieing, i got over that by purposly allowing myself to be slaughtered 28 times in a row.(by the time i reached 25, i had gotten over the feeling of dread as you see your player fall...), what annoys me is the messages that the players send to you. i have been called such a variety of names that they could fill a dictionary. i only once recieved a message, "good fight, want your armour back?" YAAAAAY!! Why can't that happen more often?????
