DFS is a waste. You could try Rapier + Dragon Defender - I've heard that with a defender, Rapier isn't bad. You should consider Rigour though. I was fortunate enough to find a team here on TIF that gave me a chance, and I'm pretty confident I've been pulling my own throughout, but a lot of teams aren't so flexible. Rigour + CCB + CLS / Maul is pretty much the standard at the moment, the less you deviate from that, the more likely you are to find a team that's willing to get you started. Also, it might be better to start with RSOF teams (not splitting ones, just LS ones perhaps) until you get the basics down. Hate to break it to you, but spamming Slice and Dice is pretty much essential for beating Nex consistently. Also, difficult to kill doesn't necessarily have to mean it takes a while to kill. Don't get rigor, the standard now is turmoil.

Everyone should be a wingman, not just 1 person. Though it is not always possible to get a team of people that are intelligible to know what to do without the keyer to baby feed them instructions. Everyone should be more active. They should realize what to do next after a gd is cleared and if they don't know, ask the keyer or find something useful to do. Standing around is bever beneficial to floor times.

I've hit 400k per hour with steel titan+ scrolls+ summ pots to basically constantly scroll.

Just went on an 8 man trip with mostly curses. We meleed the smoke, blood, ice, and zaros form when she was not praying melee. We ranged the shadow form. Everything was going smoothly and we were pretty much on pace to do 8:6 (keep in mind we normally do 8:4 with regular prayers because teammates aren't really that great) before I had to leave. Keep in mind that this was the first attempt, and we had no brew drops or a dedicated divine tanker on the zaros form. Kills went smoothly and quickly, much better than with regular prayers imo. If everyone was on curses and brought mauls + rapier for mages, we could have definitely done 8:7 or 8:8.

Well when a guide is made I expect the best method, not what someone is preferred. Mage is 4 years out of date, and you rarely see anyone maging them anymore with fire bolt.

Melee-ing them isn't impossible but it is very hard, since you need a lot of prayer potions. This guide tells you how to kill them the easier way. ^ Melee is the best method.

People have always been strength-max-bonus crazy. There's still hope. Vague hope. Zerker ring adds like maybe 2% of max hit. If row increases drops by over 2%, then it is worthless. Except for the small niche of people that can get zerker i, but that makes the number 4%.

There's really no conclusive evidence either way. The problem with nex teams is that most teams that I see live and die by the void and diamond bolt method. Because of the lucritive profits of the boss, few teams are willing to waste their time experimenting other methods. I've been trying to collect some data for a while, but it's hard to find people willing to try new things and can listen to instructions properly.

Yes. I've been using curses exclusively, no noticeable difference. Seeing how only the second form and 1/3 of the last form needs to be ranged, and the rest are best meleed, I think the benefits of curses should be given another chance. Soul splitting during smoke/blood/zaros would give a lot of health back, and the extra boost from turmoil would be helpful to the smaller teams looking to power through smoke and blood. I definately want to test curses with a more melee oriented method tomorrow, if anyone is up for it.

That isn't the point of this method. It is cheap, reasonably fast and the supplies are easy to get your hands on without costing your entire bank. Not everyone can afford methods like plank make. yea why profit from plank make when you can lose money doing this!

Just start using lamps/pengs/tears on dungeoneering, get 70 rc for a surgebox (or bind laws, doesn't matter), unlock piety if you haven't already quest cape derrrrrrr, and you're good to go. :thumbup: Welcome to DGS. Very useful for keyers in particular, as well as doing c1s quickly. I'd recommend binding them if you can't wield a csb. Celestial surgebox (csb) holds 125 casts of wind surge. Very useful for taking down forgotten warriors quickly (among other things/bosses). In order of importance, rigor then ccbow then eeks. You can use spectral if you don't have eeks.

Yes that is the proper range gear if you aren't going with otg or pid idiots that don't know how to nex and use void for some stupid reason. If you are going with stupid people you have to use the gear they require and get like maybe 4 kills a trip in 8 man.
