Scammed by a Real Life Friend
As everyone else has said, he really shouldn't be playing anyways. He obviously didn't disclose his real age, as it's a little difficult to scam over quick chat.... And as for myself, I got scammed a few years ago (before bank pins) by somebody claiming to be my friend from school asking to see my account. I gave him the password, told him he had a halfhour, then came back after that time to find that I was unable to log in. Luckily, I had recovery questions set, so I got back my account, but all my hard work (maybe around ~500k worth of stuff), was gone. So I can sympathize with him, but he really should not be playing anyways, and Jagex has given him plenty of fair warning. Hey, best way to learn is through mistakes.

Laptops?
They're making i7 laptops? Link to one? http://web.eurocom.com/EC/ec_model_config1(1,202,0) Err, link doesn't want to work. Copy paste the whole of it Interesting, they made that fast. And it only costs $3000, with lowest options! (14 grand when it is made as nice as possible. Windows server edition ftw!)

Laptop Screen
Nope, you really couldn't do that in any simple way, it's really not worth all the trouble.

Should I custom build a new computer?
You should only be building your own computer if you really know what you're doing, as there are sooo many ways to mess things up. From what you've said, I think you have a basic idea of what you are doing, but you don't exactly know enough to build your own computer quite yet. And as for your monitor, you probably mean an lcd monitor, as an LED monitor would not be very impressive ;)

Laptops?
For your processor, I reccomend a core 2 duo from Intel. It's the best processor they put in laptops for now (I believe so, anyways), and it'll run nicely. When you say "memory", I assume you mean disk space, which is very cheap right now. Laptop hard drives are a little more expensive than those for a desktop, but you could probably get a nice 500 gig one for a decent price. As for an OS, you've got three main options (assuming you're just an average user with average needs). You can go with Windows (probably vista, XP if you like that better). Windows is good as it will let you continue to run your games, and it is what most classes will want. Next option is Mac OSX, which is perfect if you just want simple usability. You can set up a utility known as "boot camp" to run your windows games and applications, pm me if you go with mac and want to set that up. The other thing to take into consideration is that Mac is generally considered very good for all sorts of multimedia projects, and is sometimes even required for classes doing multimedia. Finally, you can set up Ubuntu, which is definatley becoming more usable with time, though you probably won't be able to run many of your games on it. Its pros are that it is cheap and secure, but it isn't very mainstream, and so has hardly any games. Here's a decentish dell laptop that would suit your needs--http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xpsnb_m1530?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs Here's a mac, which are expensive but are just about the hawtest things ever http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/features-15inch.html And as for ubuntu, you can install it on any laptop, so hardware isn't an issue. And one last consideration--all new laptops you could buy come with wireless, so that will not be an issue for you.

Getting my old files to my new comp.
Sadly, you can't just copy over a few files and have a program installed. The game, or program, usually installs dependencies all over the place. You could copy over houses and maps though, it would probably be found in C-->Program Files-->Ea games-->Sims 2-->neighborhoods, or some such thing. Just go with the logical path.

Computer won't start up. Error message. [Pictures]
Yeah, that message is read 'you're screwed, go buy a new computer' If it's that old, it was about time to upgrade anyways. Nowadays, you can get a decent computer (at least 500gig hard drive, ~2Gb ram, core 2 duo or quad) for ~$500

Feel free to lock.
You should always use supercompost, to get as many herbs as possible.

The Gods Of Runescape
As much as I like Guthix, I think the Elvin god, whose name I forget, is the most powerful. I've got a bad memory, but didn't she create the world?

Macroers getting rebanned
Harsh, but I lol'd. Haha, ouch. As others have said, I think it is a bit much to re-ban him and cause him to lose all that money, considering that he has not done anything wrong since being unbanned. However, I think he may have sent in his money a little prematurely, it is a well known fact that Jagex doesn't like macroers too much.

Overhitting 10m and saying u are at 10m is better than not even having 10m... all be it 52 xp less ;) Haha, I got a screenshot of when I had a little more than 10m exp, but I accidentally deleted it, so I just posted this instead . And congrats on 99 def =D>

Weekly Poll: Favorite Familiar
I also had to choose between beasts of burden and combat familiars. I ended up on combat, just because I love my bunyips and titans, but beasts of burden were a close second, because of the terrorbird special ability.

No more freeloading in Fishing Trawler
I think it sounds good. I hate going above deck to fix the net, only to find some random level 50-odd yelling "get back to work, slave!". I think seeing them get kicked off the boat would be pretty great

Anyway to get patience? :P
I recommend powertraining patience. It costs a little bit more, but it's sooo much faster.

Farming HERBS
I agree completely. I just plant toadflax because I got a few hundred seeds at a drop party XD

Merch Clans -- Are they legal?
=P
-
Farming HERBS
Indeed. They die fairly rarely, maybe 1 patch dies every 2-3 runs? That's with supercompost, of course.
-
Farming HERBS
I used to farm snapdragons, but they require a lot of money for seeds, as they're ~30k each. Now, I farm toadflax, which has very cheap seeds. I make 30-60k profit per run, with five patches and magic secateurs. Not incredible money, but it builds up, especially if you're a lower level.
-
Merch Clans -- Are they legal?
They are technically legal, for now anyways. However, as others have mentioned, you can't trust the operators at all, you're very likely to get scammed--and you certainly wouldn't get any sympathy from people here, if you got scammed in the act of joining a merchanting clan.

f2p range
What a helpful comment. Like the above poster said, I would try ranging things in varrock sewers--possibly red spiders, skeletons, or moss giants? Alternatively, green dragons in the wilderness are easy and are good money at low levels. You may want a slightly higher range level before going there, though. Finally, you could try the lesser demon on top of the wizards tower. It's in a cage, so it would be good for a low level ranger interested in some slow-paced range training. Green dragons in F2P? Ah, you're right--no crossbows, so no antifire shields. Yeah, definitely go with something safespottable, in that case. Maybe that lesser demon I mentioned earlier?
