  1. It felt like you were attacking those who choose to define themselves as African-American, or anything of the sort. That's what bothered me, which seemed a bit unfair. But having read above you were just talking about those who mention being African-American or whatever without any care to their past. That was my only issue.
  2. I'm like 4 days away if I abandon BOL to actually do smithing or warband it. Otherwise I'm about 8 or 9 days from getting it.
  3. I think that is what Sy was getting at. Tell the new player what they need to know right now, then as they explore and decided to try, say mining, an option for a tutorial appears.Very much so, to me for the initial tutorial all you really need is: 1) Moving, camera controls and world map 2) Brief overview of skills as in covering the basic types of skills (gatherer, artisan, combat, support) and what sort of things they offer 3) Basic overview of combat (classes, weaknesses, idea of abilities with emphasis on momentum) 4) Friends list, clan chats that sort of thing. Then later tutorials as you go to use a skill can cover the details of the mining process and pickaxes or w/e. I knew we talked about it somewhere. I 100% agree with this. Since you don't want to separate new players for the bigger game world by putting them on tutorial island, don't bombard them with information.
  4. A joke is only good if you don't have to explain it to the masses. You could have done so much better.
  5. It does indeed. Handcannon + override = tons of fun. I'm gonna be really sad if I don't get a few WTF as I run around runescape with this.
  6. Chaotic crossbows are marginally better due to dual wielding being better in general. However, you need not get chaotic crossbows if you have royal. Your tokens would be better spent elsewhere. If you are getting chaotic melee you'd get claws>maul>the others. But if you can afford to buy drygores then no need for chaotic melee (unless you can't deal with drygore upkeep cost, which shouldn't matter if you boss hunt).
  7. You all have no idea how much fun I am going to have now that I've keepsaked the Fixed Device. I plan to keep sake this outfit minus the glove, Alerter, and necklace once I get some money for runecoins (not sure if I wanna use points or not)
  8. OY! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...
  9. You'll be playing more now... Do you still have a job? I thought work would keep you from playing as much.

On the point of 1 and 4, I agree with Sy. 2) Tutorial Island was just as long back in 2005 as the current tutorial is now. Only difference here is that Tutorial Island was it's own location with a tutorial feel, so you didn't get the urge to go off into the world as bad as you do now, since your world is a tutorial. Now the tutorial takes places in Burthope/Traverely with other players who are moving faster than you are. It makes you anxious to go out and do something rather than learn some basics. 3) We've talked about this in a suggestion thread for EOC (can't remember which) and I generally agree going into members skill so earlier is too much. In fact, going into all the skills so heavy as the current tutorial does is too much. I think they should supply the basics for survival (this is how you light a fire, this is how you cook raw meat on it, this is how you fish for more food) with later tutorials showing a bit more advance stuff that appear as you interact with the world (Did you know you can also cook on a range? Would you like to see how? Did you know you can make your own armor? Would you like to review that? You're becoming a better farmer. Would you like to try farming something bigger?) 4) Some of those quest actually work also tutorials for Herblore, Summoning, etc which I think is a nice way of switching up teaching about new skills.
  11. The damage reduction, from my understanding, is very negligible at best. As for the prospects of using this armour at KK, I find that to be wildly dubious at best. I mentioned KK from Yuj's post. As far as I'm aware he does that sort of bossing a lot, so he could answer that. And the damage reduction is nice at TD's and Barrows since protection prayer works almost the same as pre-EOC. With that or Soul Split the damage reduction takes any sort of hp you might lose down to 0. Sy also mentioned a valid point. Personally I have a set because I like using Hybrid armor at other places (and because the Zamorak set looks good) but again, it depends on what you think you'll use it for.
  12. Okay. So I haven't been winning anything from SOF these days. It keeps putting up the Skirmisher Helm, Blacksmith stuff, and the Shaman Poncho but I'm not getting anything. But I am getting 99 smithing soon, so I am asking for fashionscape suggestion to go with the trimmed smithing cape. And go!
  13. Since you have damage reduction from it,iIf you like doing TDs or Barrows then it is. If you want a Hybrid armor set then yes. If you have a good KK teams then yes. But there are other options out there. If you like looking fashionable then yes. It boils down to, "Will you use if often enough considering your current gear?"
  14. Problem is, warpriest has a -15 defense, so stat wise it is as good as dragon armor at 75 defense. So it's only really good for lower level PvM type things like mid level slayer, Barrows, and Tormented Demons. And even those have better options. I would say warpriest is good for fashionscape, when you have no armor, things you don't need 60+ defense for, or for the few bosses you could hybrid without switches if you lack void; Tormented Demons and Barrows.
  15. Not really. I don't feel the need to be diverse from anyone else. I'm happy with who I was born as. I see no point in trying to cling to some roots that I might pull out of the bag now and again. People like this are two-a-penny yet hardly any that I know with their own backgrounds (italian and irish heritage) ever go visit their motherlands or celebrate it in any way with the exception of St Paddies day in which everyone in the world does except me. That's all fine and dandy for you, but I like to cling to my roots. I don't like all of my history, but I love learning about my ancestors from Africa to the United States. Does that make me a bad person?
  16. Look at all the kids who already have their two [bleep]ing titles and are yet doing this again...owait...
  17. Because you guys like levels and drops
