Best range training
I'm going to be getting back into training a bit. I generally have used crossbow over say magic shortbow or any other alternatives. But just wondering what is better, I am going to be training range with slayer on tasks that are good for range. What is a good bolt or arrow/bow that is cost effective? For example I have like 120 hellhounds... I dont necessarly need the cheapest thing out there either, I want effecient and effective... Not really cheap and slow. If you understand what I'm asking here I appreciate any insight before I make any large ammo purchases. EDIT: might help with some stats/info Level 88 Range Will be using range potions Gear wise Karils top+bottom Fury Snake boots Archer Helm Spiky black hide vamps ava's accumulator Then with rune crossbow/zammy prayer book I have +179 range attack bonus With Magic short +150 total range attack bonus

Info on Different Skills
Oak Laders for construction using butlers if you want to make it faster or teleport/run to bank if you want to save money. Farming I honestly have got to level 80 by just planting trees. With using 4 tree patches (Oak trees) that will only take you what four days to get to level 30. If you like it (I do for a skill it doesnt take long) you can add fruit trees to speed it up, but even if you only did 4 oak trees a day it take you roughly 50 days. (Seems like alot but goes fast because its only like five minutes to do a farming run like that. Maybe 10-20 max if you add fruit trees in as well. For herblore it really depends on how much money you can/or want to spend. It has definitly changed into a buying skill meaning you have to essintually pay to level it (for most part). I always just made potions that I would actually use, collecting as many supplies as I could to save on cost. For hunting always just trained on the highest birds, may not be the fastest per level but was easy enough and decent rate of exp. Barbarian agility course for agility is what I did. Using super energies to speed it up or terra-bird with run scrolls, boots of lightness and spottier cap (if you train hunter first). Thieving I just store from stalls increasing stalls as I leveled. Again probably better ways now as I did this years ago and am no master. Good luck hope this gave you some ideas.

Fast ways to train a few skills?
Oak larders with butler wouldn't take long at all.

DKs for slayer?
Many guides out there but basically you wear some good range defense armor with magic 'accesorries' staff, etc. You will lure rex to a safe spot, best method of soloing you will actually still need a partner go in and die so Surpreme and Prime are not on you. Best bet IMO find someone that witll Duo with you, go down and show you the ropes.

Knight_Zaros - Quest for Glory
Some of you may or may not remember me but I was a heavy runescaper/tip.iter in the past then took an extended life break as college and real life progessed faster than freetime could keep up. But I'm ready to make somewhat of a return, definitly going to be much more casual than 4+ hours an average a day but thats what happens!. I'm going to keep the introduction short and get to the good stuff. Knight_Zaros Stats as of 6-27-10 Goals Attack - 90 Strength - 90 Defense - 85 Range - 90+ Magic - 99 Summoning - TBD Dungeoneering - TBD Farming - 90+ All Stats over level 60 - 19/25 Besides leveling and goals and quests and such I have just joined Slayers of Dangerous Beasts (SODB) and will hopefully be frequently monster hunting with them. If you remember me at all you probably knew me as a bit of a monster hunter. I was pretty found of doing DKS anyway, and look forward to learning new techniques and mastering the old ways as well. Here's a few key picutres from my characters long history. In no order what so ever. Thanks, please leave me a response if you check my blog out and I'm looking for new friends, I am a bit 'new' to this game at least to stuff within two years but have always been as helpful and knowledgable as I could be. I love magic. I miss these days. Dueling was my favorite past-time and really what pushed me into being a wealthy player (not rich) but I don't want for anything. Double drop trip and my 8th zerker, 2nd or 3rd axe. Only 'skilling skill' I enjoy period. Looking to get up to level 90 with herbs and trees. I got a late start on slayer didn't like it till later on but still felt 70 was a nice number. Took me many magic levels but was definitly worth it. I was killing metals before Visage was even released. GOF huge event, 28+ people at Bando's slaughter event, we slayed for 4-6 hours straight. I hate prayer but piety made it worth it... I guess, now there is far better prayers. Level 60 Construction back when level 60 construction was hot!

Penquin Hide and seek
Is it worth it? It seems like a considerable amount of work. Does anyone regularly do this like every week/day etc.? I always did tears of guthix just because it only took a few minutes for example and enjoyed putting that experience in a skill I didn't enjoy. Is this like that or not worth the time? For the record I never do clue scrolls and this hide and seek game reminds me of clue scrolls...

Training Mage
Won't take to long doing anything effectively. I'm always a fan of combat magic, but thats just me, I'd rather not be bored mindlessly teleporting, superheating, etc. Already enough grinding skills why make combat a grind!?

Farming assistance
Ok so I've done the MTK quests and figured that out on my own got it profiting blah blah blah. Good to go! Now I want to continue my trend of making some money instead of just spending it all why still advancing my farming level at a significant rate cause thats my favorite non-combat skill. So I'm going to be farming trees (pineapple and willow) for experience, and farming herbs for a healthy profit (hopefully). Key stats Lvl 80 Farming Lvl 73 summoning Lvl 50 agility Lvl 61 construction (nice house with one teleport room, glory, and can be located anywhere). Money is not a limit but once all is said and done I want to be profiting on my herbs. Wood Trees: In the Tree Gnome Stronghold just west of the agility training area (Spirit Trees or Gnome Glider) Varrock Castle (Varrock teleport) West of Lumbridge (Lumbridge teleport) Falador Garden (Falador teleport) Eastern Taverley (Falador teleport) Fruit Trees: Brimhaven (West Patch) (Ardougne teleport) West of Gnome Maze (Castle Wars teleport) Gnome Stronghold (Gnome glider or Spirit tree) South of White Wolf Mountain (Camelot teleport) On the roof of Troll Stronghold in Trollheim, upon the completion of 'My Arm's Big Adventure' Quest. Do however note that this is a herb patch only. (Trollheim teleport.) North of Ardougne (Ardougne teleport) North of Catherby (Camelot teleport) South of Falador (Falador teleport or Explorer's ring (3) teleport) So I've been looking through a few guides and I've come up with these patches that I believe I can get to easy enough. But I'm kind of out of season meaning that I'm a little lost can someone help sort through a run for me. Important to know I am just going to do one farming run once a day, including the herb patches even though they will be done well before. Not looking for max profits per day just some profits each day. (Lazy farmer lol) I will be paying farmers to watch the plots obviously, besides the payment, rake, watering can, spade, teleports, and running gear what else do I need, etc? What herb should I do, and what payment is required to watch? So my questions are this, any special order I should roll with to make things fastest/easiest? Any special items/quests? I see that there are things for extra yield/experience how impactful are these?

Time for a new boss?
Finally a real discussion! It's kind of sad I've been away for over two years and don't really feel I HAVE to go monster hunting right away to check out some new amazing venue.

Best Way to Get 89 - 94 Magic?
Just a question what would you do from 89 to 94 that cost 6.8m? He said superheat. I always prefered combat magic, but thats my personal preference. Not always the most cost effective but in the long run generally get lucky on some drops and its not so bad and certainly alot more fun. It is a game after all... Enjoy it.

Merch Clans
Best idea yet. That's why I always keep 10 of each potion (That I commonly use) in my bank just in case. Only 10? that might not even fill an inventory. The first step of having a stable character that doesn't have to 'save' up money is building a backstock of supplies. STOCKPILE things! I have 10's of millions in supplies easy (not bragging just saying) I'm sure there are thousands of people that have millions or billions? of supplies in their banks. Its the first step. If you stockpile your supplies you will not be affected.

Upcoming Combat Triangle Rebalance
Except Jagex claims that Runescape has a hard-triangle for combat while other MMO's claim they have loose trinity's and hybrid systems. Jagex either needs to admit they have a loose trinity or update their trinity so that it's actually balanced again. If thats true then I guess your right there, Jagex shouldn't claim one way or another. I don't really care what they consider the triangle to be in that i think it works out as it is now perfectly, obviously little tweaks and balances will always need to occur with new updates but a 'hard-triangle' as you refer to would not be in favor of the game, at least how it's developed into.

Upcoming Combat Triangle Rebalance
People NEVER get it do you. There was just a topic up last night of how some guy was posting videos of how horribably overpowered magic is just because he was using some new spell/amulet (I believe not 100% sure just returning to the game so not up-to-date about the new items yet). I'll put it this way I'm not a huge pvp'er, but I don't think anyone would be if we had a perfect triangle. Because this is what would happen. Ranger sees melee... He runs away. Melee sees ranger he chances. Mage sees melee he chaces. Ranger gets away. Melee gets teleblocked, frozen, and owned all at once. Mage goes to pick up reward. New ranger walks by and owns mage. New melee walks up and owns ranger. etc. How much fun would that be!? The mix of people hybriding, using different tactics, etc. is what makes Pvp interesting, Jagex realizes this doesn't mean they won't make updates to balance the triangle a little bit, but any MAJOR changes like not letting you melee in dragonhide could easily ruin pvp for most players.

The Greatest Triangular Issue.
No not signed. End topic/ How do I say this without flaming... Uhh pretty much the least liked combat discussion I've scene started here. And I've scene like 20 in two days. (at least as it retains to the first post I didn't read the entire thread). Basically what I dont like about your idea is it screws with to many things a ton of raw materials/equipment/etc. prices for one. And your talking about changing how a basic function thats been the same since we've begun runescape. Saying magic is underpowered or not balanced (in that its less good than melee and or range) is hilarious. You can train magic effectiently and profitable with a little luck, patience and skill. I've trained to level 95 magic for example almost exclusively on combat magic with probably 90% of my magic experience coming from metals along, and can honestly say I've probably broken even if I where to guess. And training magic at metals is by far not the most cost effective way of doing so, even training it by combat. What your asking is to make range and magic free/and or much cheaper, so an update to make the game easier. Not interested, never will be and a change like this would impact the game negatively to any 'real' magic user/lover.

Upcoming Combat Triangle Rebalance
Let's be honest not everything can be perfect, i mean would you really want it to? Would you really want every time your a mage and you fight a ranger you'd lose? Because in its basic form of perfectness thats what you would be looking at. Look at it this way most magic, range, and melee all have their uses in all situations. Its not like 90% of runescape is running around using the same combat type. Considering the amount of content, updates, and how long this game has been evolving I'd say its pretty dang balanced 'perfectly'.
