  1. Sell it in the GE and not promote merchanting clans, price inflation, and people taking advantage of the economy simple because they've exploited faults in the game. But in all honesty if you have to go out of the way to collect junk its not worth it. You can look in your bank and see if you have junk, items of value that have no use to you and do not sell in the GE.
  2. MTK, dailies, herb runs inbetween slayer tasks, and slayer. is a good FUN way to make money. Best way to do it IMO.
  3. Honestly the difference between dragon armor and rune armor does not justify the price. If your rich and I'm sorry but 15m isn't rich it definitly is not worth it. Only time I wore dragon armor was before barrows was released. If you absolutely must get some dragon (that you feel) get dlegs/skirt and just stick with your rune plate, obby shield/rune defender depending on if you need the defense. Definitly dragon boots, and best gloves/cape you can get. Fury (to me) is worth it.
  4. I would strongly sugguest figuring this out first. Dailies (Rune shops, feathers, unfinished broad arrows, example) to make some good free money every day. Farming Runs (level it up to a decent level and start doing herbs for good income) Do any quests you need to do Manage Thy Kingdom (free 200-300k+ a day.) - Doing these quests will get you into fletching and herblore which will be nice to new skills for you, and The heros quest, and The Frem Isles quest give some decent rewards (the berserker/warrior helms for example and dragon mace/axe).
  5. 70 Defense 99 Summoning, everything else 1.
  6. That's helpful. Every time that I had to go F2P I always set myself a goal to reach before I went back to P2P. If I didn't reach it by the time I was able to afford P2P again, I wouldn't go until I had it done. That way you feel as if you can play both versions of the game, and you don't always need P2P. ;) It is. If he's played f2p that much he's just reaping the benefits of members paying for him to play the game. And then ontop of that he's more or less complaining about having nothing to do. There is tons to do in this game even the f2p and if he has to make a topic asking what HE should do in a game. Thats about the only awnser I have for him. If he has a question about how to actually use a mechanic in the game or something
  7. *Doesn't include santa's, some masks, pumpkins and disks. Really? I mean i bought my santa for 10M two years ago and sold for 85mil when I came back... -_- Sure it goes up and down a lot more often than say a phat, but thats because there are alot more santa's being traded. But without a doubt you wait long enough on a santa you will ALWAYS make money. That being said making money... Dailies (runes, broad bolts, battlestaffs, etc...) Herb runs MTK And combine it with another way to make money (what you will spend most your time on). If you actually like to play and enjoy the game I suguest slayer, even if you power slay its profit, if you take your time its big profits on certain tasks. I made 900k on a task yesterday just with herb/seed drops for example...
  8. Its an option but Im doing level 71-75 WC so can't even cut magic trees. I don't typically skill for money, to slow and tedious IMHO. Not for me. EDIT: Thank Vulxai, I totally forgot about SG for theiving thanks. And I'll look into the other ideas as well!
  9. What pot? The highest level potion you can do... So if your level 55 you make super strengths... Then at level 57 you make magic essense... then at 58 u make fletching potions. That would be the fastest... In terms of your getting the most exp per potion you can make. But obviously it is better to train on a given potion just because a given second ingredient is more accessable.
  10. I'm pretty familier with the game but definitly not a skiller. So just wanting to know some good ways of training from ___ level to ___ level. I know its quite a list but I do play quite a bit and I am getting close to my combat goals so I would like to get my skills caught up a little bit as I finish off my combat goals. And I just want some up-to-date ideas considering summer prices/etc. I don't necessarly want to blow my entire bank leveling these skills but I am fairly well off so I definitly interested in some speedy training methods. Crafting level 60 currently seeking level 70 or 75 depending on cost/time Hunter level 48 to level 66 Mining Level 55-70 (would like to make some decent money, but speed>cash by far) Smithing level 60-70 (Steel plates still the way to go?) Firemaking level 60-70 (maples best bang/buck?) Woodcutting 71-75 (I believe fastest exp is Ivy correct?) Theiving 54-60 Herb 60-70 Agility 53-60 Runecrafting 49-60 Fishing 65-70 (speed>money)
  11. Dual monitors FTMFW! I always got runescape on my 24inch full screen, then I can do homework, work-work, and just browsing the forums, or internet on my smaller 17inch. I've even played a second game a few times on my 2nd monitor. As for slayer it really depends on the task. I always use super set's but seldomly use prayer/piety, I have good slayer gear setups for melee/range/mage/prayer setup as well. I generally just relax and make the most of my task though. I'm not in any hurry.
  12. I would definitly do this is stints if you are actually going to do this, cause that is some really slow exp... But wish you the best of luck. And once you have your 150M or so best to invest it in something you really want or love.
  13. I have played off and on since RS2 was 'new' and I can honestly say this. It is way easier to be rich in todays market than anytime before. Certainly there is a much larger gap between poor and rich today than in say 2005. But still most the items that people 'need' or generally want are easily affordable to anyone with a little bit of determination. The divine shields and such are the best of the best in terms of shields, but they are not night and day in terms of your other options. With the DFS or even really affordable shields like the obby shield/dragon square, etc. offer close enough defensive bonuses that it doesnt make much of a difference. I was lucky to come out with making a million a week back in early years of runescape, now as said you can often times do it in an hour, practically everyone can easily do it in a day at the least. That means if you have some determination that means you can easily save up to get dragon claws within a month, or any godsword in two months maybe a little more for Amardyl's. Just saying... Sounds more like a rant to me, as for the rares well they made a mistake when they released them, thats why new holiday items are not tradable. Only true discussion value here (and its discussed often enough other places), but how can we stop this inflation on rares without ruining the rare market or ruining the experience for people who have rares.
  14. Mining rune essense especially once its pure is decent money at the least. It's how many characters get their startup money, low mining level and not click intensive...
  15. Lets put it this way... I would highly doubt they would go down after summer.
  16. Definitly once you save up the money to buy it in the GE put it in for maximum.
  17. Add me in game we can probably work something out.
  18. This, all though there will probably be some new items in the level 1-2-3 clues your probably want to be doing elite clues...
  19. If you dont like the risk of predicting the higher price items that will change day to day, then your stuck with investing in stable items like raw materials as you'd said. The best thing about having 62million is you can invest all that into these raw materials. Buy different things, be buying and selling in all six of your GE slots!
  20. Level 70 prayer IMO is the best prayer level to be at. Obviously if your going for like maxed stats the new curse prayers are pretty epic but level 70 is pretty reachable for most players who have some average money making ways and it really is helpful.
  21. I suggust doing a few of the aboved mentioned. I personally love metals its decent exp with a higher level fire spell and what I call fun drops. If you load up on bones really good too inventory and beast of burden it can drastically cut your losses if you didn't happen on at least a dlegs.
  22. Tears of guthix? Exp lamps and a quest or two. You will have 25+ farming in a week or two max without even planting a single thing... It's what I did when I started, then I just did trees mostly from 30ish up to 80 (this was when trees where much cheaper). Now I do trees and herbs once a day.
  23. I'm 89 range and have never chinned once. It is a bit slower than say melee training but keep in mind melee training has you training 3 stats typically depending on how you look at it. I say if you put some dedication to it 85+ range without chins is easy. Heck you can profit most places you camp and can still bring some decent exp in. I mean I dont always agree with everyone, but some people want the fastest, easiest exp over having fun in game. So thats up to you.
