I guess Ill be the first to say if you want to level magic up with ice bursting you might as well do rock lobsters, a little bit more effort but alot more payoff (charms). That is all good luck.

If combat is boring to you how is skilling fun? I mean how is right clicking and cutting all logs into bows then banking and withdrawing for hours... Days... weeks more fun than actually fighting something when it requires different strategies, tactics, etc... Especially higher level monsters. Pfft... Both have their uses but I ENJOY combat and do skills more or less because I have too/need to for quests requirements and other bonuses they give.

Yeah... and whip/defender are better stats strength and attack bonuses... In most situations whip/defender > zs hands down unless your fighting something extremely weak vs. crush. We're both right, never said ZS was garbage, it has its uses, I own one... lol

Yeah honestly if your wanting money its better (IMO) to do steady wins the race, go kill greens or blues, collect hides bank fast and repeat.

Either find a way to make money by doing a junk trade (you said you didn't want to do this), Or just sit on it and watch the graphs daily, honestly it could be a few months (if ever if we see a crash). I dont think people truely realise how RICH some of the people in this game are. I mean I'm talking where people have net worths of 200M and IMO are not rich. So the demand for these new items is going to continue to skyrocket untill there is an abundence of supply. And lets face it getting a random/rare dragon mask from a clue that is already somewhat rare drop from a HIGH level monster... Its going to take awhile. You could honestly be sitting on it for the next half of a year before people are actually selling them frequently in the GE. Best investment and what I plan to do when I get a really good TT rare is just sit on it, watch the GE and if it starts to drop one day then you can sell it if you want too.

I don't think you could have a worse plan for 99 defense than that honestly. Defense is already slow compared to attack/strength, Then you got a slower weapon (ZS vs. whip+defender), and your doing it on a insanely high level dragon. But to help you out with your question. I've leveled magic from 70-98 (currently and going) all at metals Irons/steels. Steels are much better IMO in terms of lower-mid range drops. They drop alot of rune, and the stackable rune throwing items can really add up especially if you end up slaying a few thousand of them. I mean a rune knife drop is like 15k, and its stackable! The drop rate for rares is said to be slightly better on steels, I dont count kills or anything but from my experience I will agree with that as well as I did most my magic training 70-85+ on irons and alot of range training there too and never got a visage but I did get my visage from steels, and I do long magic trips 3-5k casts generally and typically come out with a dragon drop from a steels trip but not always an iron.

Plant herbs once or twice a day and profit? Seriously if your going to do a tree run you might as well plant a herb rune 3-4 patches and it'll take you maybe an extra 5 minutes a day and you will at least break even more than likely profit. No reason to worry about spending 20mil then huh? I do willows/pineapples and I'm 82 farming, throw in some ranaars/snaps whatever I have available and I feel at 82 farming I still level up at a decent rate. And this is just part of my dailies I dont really have an overwhelming goal in mind. Good luck to you.

I found the lbs to be better at black dragons, did both with piety/prayer armor and definitly seemed to be killing faster with lbs.

Save money, invest it in flipping even if its buying stable raw materials and selling them for 1-2gp more in bulk. Do your dailies, mtk, and herb runes (few a day if you can), keep the fury to help you do slayer! Once your closier to your herb goal and you feel the need to sell fury, then sell it. I generally would never sell an item i use just to obtain something else. Thats why I feel my NET worth is more impressive than whatever my cashpile is at the time. It also helps build a character that is more balanced, I hate it when Im trying to get dking teams together for example and people are sitting there trying to last minute buy and sell equipment and potions, etc. Might be just me but I always like to be prepared and will never be selling items I plan on using.

Best bet IMO is to really start to learn the market, learning how to really junk trade and deal with rares, the new higher end TT items, etc. can really start to make bank. Basically to get a divine or a rare like a phat you have to come up with something that person wants more than the phat. There in lies your problem, a ton of new TT items for example some people would be after... Etc.

I would still put the alter at least adjacent to a garden just because everytime I am done wth a tasks/etc. I generally end up teleporting through my house for convience sake, and recharge prayer and summoning points there, then it will be there if you ever do decide to train prayer anyway. If not everything else looks sick man gl. I have to delete a throne room when i redo my house (ugh...).

Best stat boosting amulet in the game for all combat stats. Well worth it for me... if you got 30m then that still leaves u with a considerable amount left to buy any supplies u need. I say get it. I'll never sell mine and never would consider it.

You just want a high range defense. Having ee will pay off for healing and an infinite defense pot. Not at my pc so gear suggestions are somewhat limited. But here goes. All this would help doesn't mean u have to get it all. Fury Archer ring Best range defense shield (check granite or obby vs. Ur square) Amardyl legs, dragon legs, or just get barrow legs imo. Frem range helm or better

Getting 500k is nothing in this day and age just to name a few. Killing green or blue dragons and banking hides and bones Farming ranarrs or other herbs. Manage thy kingdom Dailies (there is a topic on this everyday in help and advice) Killing level 2 men (honestly collecting their herbs, try edgeville)

Only degrades when your are in combat. 15 hrs of combat (i believe), you can repair it for cheap, even yourself in your player owned house (cheaper with higher smithing lvls)

How long does it take to put a large buy order in for a given item... Let it buy.... Then sell for a few gp over... Sure it can be much more complicated than that. But if you have a considerable amount of gp (few million or more) that is just sitting there in your bank... Theres no real reason not to do some flipping through the GE especially if you feel the need to make a thread about making money...

Check the prices for the various surges you can do compared to firewave. Do the most economical one. Fire surge is epic btw! get 95 =)

I have to agree with them man, range slaying is slow and not very efficient. When training magic and range I always found it best to camp a monster its good on. And melee owns slayer. Slayer is very profitable when meleeing with good gear. Few things to take into consideration. Guthans + bunyip is nice, u can always sell guthans back so its not a loss. Bring war tortoise to tasks where you kill dragons and bank all bones. It's really worth the three minute bank run. Slayer helm. Get one get full if u decide to range and mage too. You fan use piety to speed up tasks and most you will still profit on. I use it sparingly though.. Super sets all the time. Maybe not def potion if u don't want too.

Solo how as in solo mage? Your good to go really. You can also hybrid however suggest you hybrid with a friend. If you want you can add me in game. I have a friend that likes to go dking but we are always looking for a third. I won't be dking till Sunday night at the earliest however. Knight_zaros

I love maging metals, best form vs metals, without a decent drop you probably won't profit though. But its way faster and like I said ny favorite place to use magic.

Its +15% damage. If you have fire surge I wouldn't bother with void mace. If your under it may (or may not be worth it). Only place I ever used COG was at dks before fire surge/sol came around.
