Sorry I confused you. Let me clarify, the main character began practicing for the training since he was 10 and the training actually started at age 21.

[hide=Chapter One]Twenty-one. The year when legally, you are an adult. It's also the year you begin your training for the world of RuneScape. But, let me tell you about me. My name is Jason Dervil, and both me and my parents were born in the town of Lumbridge. We had lived in Lumbridge until I was three, when we moved to Varrock. Soon, my little sister, Jessica, was born. But, let's fast-forward to the beginning of the story. Well, let me just say that I had been practicing for the training since I was ten, so I was pretty ready. Everything was easy for me. The cooking, woodcutting, combat, and firemaking? It couldn't have been easier. But then, came the time for magick. Ugh! How I despise the magicks! It seems that I am cursed by never being able to properly cast a spell. Then, I faced the master of magicks. His name was Ret, he appeared to be around eighty years old. "[garden tool] [garden tool]! So, you're Mr. Dervil, am I right? I've heard wonderful things about you!", he said has he bellowed out laughing. "You're here for the magicks test, am I correct?" "Umm, yes", I replied sheepishly "Also, I didn't catch your name, would you mind telling me it again?" "Of course! My name is Ret!", the old man relpied. "Now, for your test, I need you to turn this stone, into a diamond, via magick." As he said this, he put a small stone on the table and gave me the required runestones to cast the spell. "All right, here I go", I said as I prepped myself for the spell. I layed the runestones on the ground, drew their energy from them, and launched the energy at the stone. Then, a puff of black smoke. Failure, I had turned the stone into something, but not a diamond, I had turned it into a lump of coal. "Hehe", Ret laughed, "it's all right, very few got it on the first attempt. Now, what you did wrong was you didn't draw enough energy from the Fire runestones. You used the energy from three of them, you should try five. Now, try again." He smiled. I once again layed them on the ground, drew the energies from them, and blasted the new stone with the energy. A brilliant white flash, and there, where the stone was just seconds before, a lovely diamond. "I did it!" I exclaimed while jumping for joy. "Yes, and you've passed the training. You can now be anything you want in the world!", Ret said happily. "Now go and have an adventure!" And then, I left the training to begin my own adventure in the world.[/hide]
