About that... Why are Arcane and Spectral Spirit Shields considered junk? Surely they must also be considered rare, and I'm sure that most would agree they look fairly nice. Their Defensive stats aren't bad and crush is even slightly higher than the DFS. They give no negative bonuses, a Prayer bonus, and the AS² is also the best for Magic Attack bonus and the S³ the best for Magic Defense bonus. I thought people would pay anything to get the best. For example: People who are extremely devoted to Castle Wars buy Armadyl just for Magic Defense bonus. The 3rd Age Amulet gives +5 more Magic Attack than a much, much cheaper Amulet of Fury, but is trumped in everything else. It's rarer, obviously, but then the same concept could/should be applied to these shields...

I got 85 mining in 2 weeks from dead lvl 1? doubt it. the guy was talking about getting 81 mining on a brand new acc in a month To be honest it really isn't difficult. Anyone with half a brain can click on a rock then drop the ore. It's just more time consuming and requires more clicking. Is 2 weeks playing 24-7 or could it be as little as 2 hours a day? I still need to get 80...

Thanks for not jumping on the flamer-troll bandwagon. I hope that if they really do make increasingly strong long-lasting weapons they also bring out more armor like the Elysian and Divine Spirit Shields that can take some of that edge off or redesign the way Hitpoints work.

Summoning Beasts of Burden can greatly increase the amount of items you can carry with some limitations.

Construction isn't supposed to be useful; the Gilded Altar, Portal Chambers, Lecturns, Costume Room, everything that's been mentioned is a bonus to the fun that the skill is supposed to bring. That's right, a skill for fun! This is where your endless hours of boringly profiting from repetitively chopping down trees should go. For that matter, you should also buy weapons that have awesome special attacks, and raise Magic high enough for Ice Barrage. ...Or maybe you enjoy chopping trees and just watching your money pile up and stagnate... _ And, as for the second topic here... So a person makes one stupid mistake, and gets banned? Guess what. No one wants to bother anymore.

3rd Age is only better in crush, so the same statement goes for it. I will always stand by the statement that Barrows was released far too early and that it is too easily gotten; it has essentially crippled and shriveled the evolution process for armor, and releasing 3rd Age didn't help and probably wouldn't have helped even if we had never gotten Barrows at 3rd Age's current rarity. Later releases [than Barrows] like Granite and Waterbirth sets didn't help at all. I wish JaGEx would listen to the statement, "We have nowhere to go but up," rather than taking a step forward and two steps back, so to speak, with useless or overpriced armor. As for the whole DFS Vs. Rune Defender debate, holding a DFS actually causes me to get hit more often than when holding something else.

Item: Elysian or Divine Spirit Shield - they're the ultimate bartering chips and you can get any other items for them. They're also useful in their own rights. Skill: Probably Agility. I like the skill and its fundamental use in all other skills but I could probably stand to raise it, making one free 99 a waste for it. Quest: Mourning's Ends - Part 3 - It'll probably be the most annoying and hated quest to complete when it's finally released.

I would if a price guide like the Grand Exchange could be implemented; I enjoy having some small idea of what an item is worth. Maybe it's just a coincidence but it seems like people were nicer when they were forced to interact with each other to buy and sell items.

Fighter Torso/Bandos; the Strength bonuses really don't make up for such high Defense loss.

Okay, you asked for it. Guthix stopped the God Wars by forcing the Gods to agree not to interfere directly in Gielinor. They were banned from leaving their own realm(s). The GWD was frozen due to an avalanche, if memory serves. It was nuclear Winter, and Bandos' followers got the worst of it. That's why they're all green and brown.

I would rather move around in a cycle; that is, when it starts taking a high number of tries to get one, I'll move to a different source. There's an awesome safespot you can use at Goblins if you have Bronze Knives... Stand on the square and you can basically attack several at a time with Knives. It's kinda funny, you can also piss lower levels who are training there off because you can attack another Goblin before one right next to you can hit you. That's how I got my Champion Scroll.

There really isn't a lot of room for rumors in the game today; everyone seems much more well-informed and knowledgeable. To be honest, being handed [almost] all the info I need through the KB and updates on the front page has caused RuneScape to lose some of that luster (ironic, considering it's now in HD) that it had when the graphics were bad and there weren't any trade limits (not that the trade limits really ruined anything for me; I'm just setting a time). The old graphics always seemed to conceal awe and mystery (try the first 'hard' quests like Legends, Underground Pass, Temple of Ikov). Looking in the bestiary and seeing that Black Demons were level 172 and dropped Rune Kiteshields and 100's of 'certs' of Silver Ores always made me think that there was a higher level of knowledge to the game, and now I feel I've reached that higher level, and now the game isn't so shiny...
