I didn't see the original context, so you may be right. But isn't the 'important part' you're talking about contradicting the first part of your post...? I'd like to also point out again that there is no corrupt version of the Dragon Full Helm... It's difficult to tell if people have already realized this or have not actually read the list and are just going along with it.

Another quality post by Soma. You guys need to start listening to this one more often. While I usually agree with Soma, I'm afraid this time I can't. Mod Kathy stated "The only Dragon items that are dropped are corrupt items." which leads me to believe that either she's referring to drops on f2p worlds (in which case well no [cabbage] it's a bug) or that she is pulling information out of her nether regions. If the majority would've been on the happier side of dragon full helms being dropped, they more than likely would've done nothing about them...but instead they got a lot of players complaining to them about how they were once a rare status symbol reserved only for those who can master the mith dragons or something similar, so they changed it. Yay for trying to save face! I think she just typo'd. It's obvious that receiving Dragon Daggers, Longswords, Scimitars, and other such weapons is not a bug.

So let me get this correct. Lets say I have 50 range and 1 defence. Will I get hit the same as 1 range or will i be hit less? Correct, you'll be hit less than if you had no Ranged at all.

Both your Ranged level and Defense level, as well as your equipment bonuses contribute to your overall Ranged defense. Both your Magic level and Defense level, as well as your equipment bonuses contribute to your overall Magic defense. If that's not what you're asking, please state the question more clearly...

May I ask what familiar you plan on using at SGWD? From what you've said, it sounds like you're soloing and running around in a box... Wouldn't you have to use a Terrorbird for the energy replenishment?

Yeah but price is not a problem. If price isn't a problem just get a Divine or Elysian Spirit Shield, or a Dragonfire Shield for that matter. Why choose between the normal Spirit Shield or Toktz-Ket-Xil if you have enough money for the best stuff? It quite clearly says "Spirit Shield", not "Blessed Spirit Shield"...

You typically range there using Diamond Bolts (E). That brings it down to a question of +8 Range attack bonus or +20 Range defense bonus. In light of Spirit Shields being a hell of a lot cheaper, though...

You could compromise and train both by burning Vyrewatch, although this is considerably slower than focusing on either. However, you can get god pages from vyre-burning which last I checked were in high demand and could be sold with a lot of junk. Otherwise I'd agree with most others here: 1) 68 Summoning 2) 70 Prayer 3) Forget about Firemaking...

If you have all three helmets and the set it makes hybriding in many situations much easier. - Barrows, namely.

Further to the previous, what species of dog has a blue variant? What familiar should be used for training Summoning (running back and forth between the altar and bank)? Should I make them myself or buy them? Would it be possibly to max Summoning by training from 96 to 99 combat stats using controlled on Waterfiends? Do Waterfiends have any drops that are considered 'junk'? If no to maxing Summoning with melee stats, what about additionally getting 99 Ranged? What monsters are good for ranging that drop charms besides Black Demons? Is there a viable Magic training method for getting charms that isn't as cost ineffective as Rock Lobsters? What should I train on prior to 96 Strength and Defense besides creatures at Ape Atoll or Slayer? How long would 99 Agility take using the Ape Atoll course the entire time? Although you're mostly correct about what you said, videos on YouTube tend to be there because they are high or amazing hits, so results may not be typical. I have personally never been hit higher than 30-30 by someone with a Dark Bow and a Dragon Dagger can easily do that normally in the right hands. Perhaps it could suffice to say that melee and Ranged are overpowered rather than Magic being underpowered, although mages certainly need armored robes better than Ahrim's.

u forgot Darts and Knives I don't remember those ever being updated? Ugh, I did forget though...

Without skillcapes skills would actually be trained for use rather than capes, as they were intended to be, as well as many of the skills actually making money instead of just losing it. Luckily for me, Agility, which is my eventual 99, is useful for everything and has an awesome skillcape, which is a bonus, just as it was meant to be.

I'm not sure all of the updates mentioned in the article are in the right order or at the right time. I never played classic and the only info I know on it is what I read in random sources like this so thank you for that bit... Let's see all of the more notable additions I can remember that you probably could/should've gone into more detail about (although by no means in order)... update #2 (enchanted bolts, etc) hitting very high... and included therein, extremely cheap and effective for most ends. , fairly cheap with frequent high hits through tough armor. and , with their insane KO ability. with the is probably the most useful of the three sets. , but more notably the fast and high hitting . , with its long range and reliable hits it sits inbetween the and everything else. and make the fastest combat skill to train. and both have the KO ability of the fabled ... Aside from just items, is the best way to reach and defeat .

If you're rich enough for that you might as well use the PvP armor too... There's a difference between paying 100m for a shield that gives you unlimited use in many situations and many hundreds of hours of protection unmatched by any other armor vs. paying 15m for armor that breaks in an hour and isn't much better then barrows. It would be cool, though... If I ever get THAT much free cash I'll try it someday \ It's assumed that if you would pay that much for the shield and 99 Summoning that you'd have a lot of free cash to throw around...
