  1. Most of rs requires no skill so the person that's best at that is the one who gets the highest exp rate and can sustain it in my opinion. However, the part of rs where gaming talent shows is in minigames/PVP/dungeoneering to an extent. The best player is not the person with the most castle wars tickets/BH rogue rank/xp, it's the player who can score or defend most effectively/take on a team of 5 and kill them all/regularly key fast floors.
  2. Before I say anything, I want to clarify that I've never botted and probably never will. However, I can see the attraction. Personally, I only really play rs to dg atm. It gets annoying/slow when I can't do skill doors and it'd be really useful if I had all skills at 99 to make dg faster. I'm probably never gonna get 99 mining/rc/fish etc because I don't find them interesting and I'd rather dg so if someone offered me a bot to do them for me then I'd be tempted. Basically, botting a skill would make dg more fun so I would consider it. I think OP takes rs too seriously, it's just a game. Why do you care whether other people are botting? Yea they get in the way a bit when doing certain skills but otherwise it makes no difference to you. I don't think you can involve morals because it's a game and nobody takes it that seriously.
  3. A suggestion for the arguments section: While rushing c1s, insist on reading the mysterious chronicles at the end of each floor :P
  4. I don't look down on it but it's not something I 'respect'. I'm bored of seeing cookery capes about, stuff like agility and farming capes look far nicer in my opinion.
  5. I do it too, it's very useful on blue drag/black and abyssal demon tasks as it earns you an extra 1m+ per task without slowing you down by more than a couple of minutes (if done properly).
  6. Someone else that hates beast of burdens :D Yea really good guide, it should defo be encouraged for ppl to keep keyer's invent open as it saves so much time and allows you to report relevant info/keep an eye on ggs much better. Also found it good fun to read, nice one :)
  7. Was gonna be away but change of plans, still gotta do work for some of it tho. However, first I will check health 5 magics, 5 palms and 1 spirit tree and replant them. I then plan to dg for the rest of the day. I will then go to bed and hopefully check my magics health when i wake up. I'll then dg some more for the rest of the weekend and check my palms asap. I should probably have bought herb supps seeing as il train it later anyway but idc too much about ovls atm but I'm hoping there'll be decent dgers on to get some bonus xps. Would be sick if i could get 85-90 dg this weekend but i'm not too bothered if I don't succeed.
  8. I have a feeling that my best suggestion for what to do with your excess rs gp might be against forum rules. Alternatively, do you like pking? 2b could buy you alot of return sets...
  9. Any new slayer monster should only be attackable if it's your task and should be in a single combat area (i.e. you must solo it). I don't agree that it should be like a boss unless it's similar to mithril dragons, otherwise tasks would take forever. I also think the idea of a master who assigns bosses is stupid, that's not what slayer is about imo. I also think it'd be cool if the rewards were untradeable or if the reward only benefitted you while slaying (though slayer is fast enough imo).
  10. Lmao no. Some randomer could give me 10b worth of rares and I'd still give it back if I said I would. RS wealth really doesn't matter to me, shame it does to so many others tbh :/
  11. Hmm what about Villandra, if you consider all her her accounts? Villandra pretty much quit rs as far as I know, I think she's only back now cos someone gave her an idea for a fun new way to get 99 slayer on an account. Even then, she could only really be considered 'on top' if you're looking at the slayer skill (it does seem like a disproportionate number of the top slayers are female but maybe that's just me).
  12. Onyx (i) is pretty sick in castle wars if you regularly use hy/tribrid. Seers (i) still wins if you're scoring and zerker (i) if you're mainly just pking with melee tho.
  13. Your diet seems ok, maybe learn to cook some simple stuff (stir fry for example) and have that when your parents are having the fast food but otherwise it's pretty decent. The main thing you're gonna have to do if you want to improve is exercise. If you just want to lose weight then combining running with stuff like situps will help you but if you want to gain muscle, pressups, pullups, dips etc are all fairly easy and effective. Personally I'd say at your age it's probably best to stay away from the gym as you're probably still growing and it can be easy to get carried away and do yourself some damage so just keep active and take it easy on your body for now.

Im trying to stay lean, not turn into Arnie. Although that stuff isn't needed just to lose some fat and expose your abs it wouldnt be particularly hard for a beginner. The crucial thing is that he left out the weight that you'll be using to do the exercise so just start low and work up to what you feel comfortable with (so you're as tired as possible by the end of your session but you're just about able to finish each set). As for each exercise, just google them or look them up on youtube, there are loads of instructional videos on the correct way to do each exercise.
  15. That vid brought back some nice memories, thanks :) Happy New Year Drumgun, good luck on those xp records :D
  16. Buy a set of proselyte for tasks where you use overheads and use your sw cape then/when your cannon is doing most of the damage. All other times it's cool to use torso/verac's skirt (the combination has a better slash defence bonus than bandos and stab/crush bonuses are comparable). As for 'shield' use dragon defender for all tasks and antifire shield if you dont have superantifire potions.

EVERYONE has abs below the fat. This might be interesting for you to read Tim.

You need to eat consistently 3k+ calories a day to put on the mass, if he's super concerned about putting on a bit of fat (which I doubt he is, he'll lose some working out and cut later anyway) all he has to do is watch macro splits. If you read OP's post he said the most important thing to him is to lose the fat around his abs to expose the muscle, consuming lots of calories isn't gonna help that ;) Edit: Oh P.S. Tim, I can recommend the Athlean X blog blog for interesting reading about 'building a lean, athletic body' it's got lots of useful info. (Not recommening you spend loads of money and buy all their stuff but the information and videos on the blog may prove useful).

Ok, first of all, are there any sports that you enjoy doing or that you'd like to start? The reason most people fail to turn their life around and get fit is because they don't enjoy exercising, if you can find something you enjoy spending time on then it'll be far easier to get fit. From your dimensions it sounds like you're in a pretty decent position, you're not particularly fat or skinny and so the main barrier will probably just be staying motivated (which is why I recommend you take up a sport). I could go on to give you a list of exercises complete with information on how many sets/reps will provoke what muscle response but tbh sitting in your bedroom doing crunches/pushups etc etc can be pretty boring and so I only recommend starting that once you've started becoming active in a way you enjoy, this could be starting cycling/running a few times a week, joining a football club or trying a new sport you might not have had had a chance to try before like rock climbing. In terms of diet, cut out fizzy drinks as much as possible if you can, if you're thirsty drink water or squash if you must have flavour in your drink. Also, I don't know what sort of food you tend to have cooked for you but if it's mostly pre-packaged ready meals then I really encourage you to start cooking for yourself, anything you cook for yourself is likely to be healthier than a 'ready meal' as long as you dont pile a load of cheese on top of it or something and things like spaghetti bolognaise, stir fry or fajitas are fast, healthy and easy to cook. Most of my post has been addressing health aspects rather than how to get 'rock hard abs' (which I think is much less important). In terms of the actual muscle, everyone has it, it's just buried beneath varying thicknesses of fat on each of us and the main way to deal with that is to improve your diet. It's alot of effort to go into what you should and shouldn't eat so I won't, but you basically just want to stick to 'whole foods', simple stuff like chicken and potato and lettuce rather than some complicated mixture of stuff you get in a pre-packaged meal. I highly suggest you do some research on the internet about this sort of thing, 'bodybuilding' and other sports forums can be very useful sources if you search through their nutrition sections. Oh also, I don't know about your sleeping patterns but sleep is really important and once you start becoming more active be sure to give your body all the rest it needs (going to bed earlier may also help but that varies from person to person). P.S. If it helps, I too am a 20 year old, 5"11 ~67kg guy. I've always been fairly active taking most opportunities to play football or go cycling with friends but until I went to university I never really bothered with my diet and tended to eat what was easiest. Since improving it and following the tips I've given you (I'm not perfect - I still eat pizza a few times a week) I've become alot healthier - I've got ill alot less regularly, I look alot better and most importantly I feel alot better. P.P.S. Having a six pack really isn't that great, the times when I'm at my fittest are often the times when my abs are least visible as I tend to eat alot more in order to keep me going. I had flu 2 weeks ago and as a result lost a fair bit of weight, I looked pretty ripped but was ALOT weaker than at peak fitness. Aim to get fit and healthy and muscle tone will come with it.
  20. I'm not entirely sure if this post is serious or why you decided to post it on this thread but the answer is 100%, it's pretty doable you just have to lure the monster you're currently fighting in between hitting it with your weapon.
  21. I was told the effigy rate from cave crawlers had been nerfed recently, is this not the case? @jopo: just because he's training a skill now doesn't mean he's going for 200m exp in it
  22. I like this selection of tips, it'd be fantastic if all players could read and follow them. One thing I'd suggest for game carriers (I like this term) is to have the keyer's invent open in the dungeoneering tab so you can keep track of what keys he has so you can let him know that you're at a door he has the key to (or search it out when you don't have a gd to attend to) and can bring him there if he wants. You can also keep an eye on whether the keyer has the ggs or not (i.e. if you're taking it to your gatestone you can see as soon as he drops it and can tele there before he even tells you). I also think it's good to commmunicate as much as possible (without spamming). This means if you're with a team of people you don't know and the keyer says he needs someone with 95 smithing to open a door, if everyone says their smithing level (even if they're all below 95) the keyer knows whether to move on and not bother trying to open the door or assign the task of making a potion to someone.
  23. I wonder how the potential reintroduction of free trade will affect suomi's donation system.
  24. Perhaps, but is it really worthy of a post on this thread?
