  1. Lmao, he was obviosuly just messing around, chill out. Even the guy in the screenie said 'lol win mod'.
  2. Please don't speed up exp rates any more :(
  3. Langer, I was wondering if you (or anyone else) had kept these weekly xp totals for each of the top 15 in some kind of table, so we could see who earned how much exp each week if you see what I mean. No worries if you haven't, I just thought it'd be interesting to see if the data was to hand :D
  4. Cannon them below west ardougne.
  5. In small amounts grinding skills can be ok. I much prefer grinding minigames though personally, doing MA for the imbued rings/fog for brobes/pest control for void stuff is far more enjoyable than standing still cooking in my opiinion. I did play around a thousand hours of castle wars at one point, many of them consecutively, does that count as grinding? I'm guessing not because I was playing them for fun rather than for some kind of reward at the end.
  6. Suggested plan of action: Don't sell any of your gear yet until you can afford 95 prayer without selling your dclaws/any other stuff needed for slayer (like whip/zerker/fury etc but bandos isn't needed for slayer and so can be sold). Train slayer and earn some cash and level up your combat skills on the way, priority should be placed upon getting 99 attack and strength first and then 99 defence after that. Buy 95 prayer when you can and then get back to slayer and then get herblore to ~85ish when you can afford that. The only reason I suggest prayer > herblore here is because you can use both turmoil AND soul split which makes healing on task a hell of a lot easier. Oh and I suggested you dont sell claws cos they wreck when slaying and they're pretty fun/useful for other combat stuff when you get bored of slaying and need to take a short break to k0 some noobs at clan wars :P O, DFS sucks, don't buy it. Good luck :D
  7. Used to be AGS but since claws were released it became pretty redundant. ZGS is my favourite (probably because I associate it with Castle Wars/multi pking which was always fun).
  8. 41k xp per hour, not bad considering I probably spent 1500-2000 of my 4700 game hours playing castle wars or pking.
  9. Nah, he obviously just knows what he's doing/the best time to veng etc.
  10. Hay Koddo. I kinda know what you mean, I was semi inactive from feb-july and alot has changed but I think I kept fairly up to date just reading forums etc so it wasn't too hard to figure stuff out. I still seem to find out new stuff every now and then that seems to be common knowledge but I missed it due to inactivity. Personally I'd probably say the game is worse but that's just me and I'm getting a bit bored of it now. O and yea cw armour is ugly as hell now (and cw is a bit weird to play due to some of the updates).
  11. I think someone probably will get 200m in all skills but it's far too early to start making predictions as to who will be the first to get there because it'll be so long until anyone actually gets there. Nice work on keeping this topic updated Langer, it has to be one of the most interesting threads I've ever read.
  12. I don't think it matters, once someone owns an item it's up to them if they want to resell it and at what price they want to sell it for. I really don't see the problem, it's not as if partyhats are useful items that can improve gameplay/make the game easier (i.e. divine spirit shields) and even with them I don't think there's really a problem :/
  13. I don't see why so many people are deliberately trolling each other and arguing over their individual styles of play. Personally I dont think about efficiency too much however I do tend to train fairly efficiently. I've spent most my summer slaying and was always using extreme pots/titan/turmoil/cannon but xp wasnt really an issue until 98 slayer when I knew I was so close to my goal. My main reason for training like I did was because I enjoyed killing things quickly, not for fast xps, just because I like to be active on runescape and sitting there not clicking bores me (probably why I don't enjoy skills like cookery where you only need to click about 5 times per minute). However, I've spent about a thousand hours playing castle wars which is in no way efficient but is alot of fun (or was). I also spend loads of time sitting at my computer watching/reading rs related things but not training (I could easily have got 99 in all the afk skills if id bothered to multitask) but I disliked doing anything other than chatting to people when scaping and even then it has to be to other scapers. I really do think it's stupid to criticise other people's style of gameplay though, if they're enjoying themselves then what's the problem?
  14. Yes because the xp cap for every skill, including agility, is 200m xp He is talking to Jebrim, who has a goal of getting 200m agility experience on 5 accounts. Why would he want to do that? To become famous. (Seriously)
  15. Zarfot provides a good arguement for slayer over other methods of combat training on the first page of his slayer guide: http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?98,99,600,61329204 Personally I'd say go with slayer, it's pretty fast exp, fairly entertaining and is a decent source of cash and charms.
  16. How much do you plan on spending? I think I've spent around 8m on fruit/tree seeds. What skills do you plan on training? Farming primarily, slayer after that. DO you plan on playing more then normal? Less probably, will be logging out between farming to maximise xp. Expecting to get any 99's? No lol. What order do you plan on training skills, if doing multiple skills. 1. Check health 5x Magic tree, 4x Palm tree, 1x Spirit tree, 1x Calquat tree and replant all but spirit tree. Log out. 2. Check health 5x Magic tree. Log out. 3. Check health 5x Magic tree, 4x Palm tree and maybe Calquat tree but it probably won't have grown. At this point, depending how I feel, I'll either log out and get on with rl or get slaying, preferably a task like mutated 'velds. I worked out I can get about 1m farming exp this weekend for the price of about 400k exp so I'll be trying to make the most of this but I may end up getting bored and slaying rather than maximising the bonus exp for farming.
  17. In reply to requiem, you were called 'second rate magers' not people using a second rate spellbook. I've regularly changed the course of castle wars games just by knowing how to entangle effectively (where to stand/place barricades etc), it's far more accurate than ice spells and if you don't have to rely on doing damage to the scorer with magic then it's not much worse than ice barraging. It's more than likely that the person insulting you was referring to your skills rather than your spellbook. Alternatively it was just some idiot who wanted to flame someone and should be ignored for that exact reason.
  18. Unless your hoarding or price manipulaing, i don't see how anyone could have issues with merching. this. merching creates a healthy market. That reminds me of a quote from one of Zarfot's vids, Chessy018: "I back up the clan with a 1b investment and sell before the dump date to keep the market flowing" (referring to her 'merch clan') :P I agree though, flipping/investing is not a moral issue.
  19. Ironically, I do use chaotic weaponry :P My gear is good enough that I can crash/anticrash, but bad enough so that I don't risk anything over 30M I just don't understand the people who are on their 2nd CLS (and it always happens to be a CLS, never a rapier or maul ;) ). What in the world would be worth risking 50-100 hours of work for... I wouldn't be surprised if some people used having to re-obtain a chaotic weapon as an inscentive to get some more dungeoneering experience actually. It does seem extremely wasteful though.
  20. Elite clue, deep wild scan clue found on this spot, I would have done it with the arrow on but I forgot. Hope this helps.
  21. It'd be possible but it probably wouldn't be worth it. You could quite easily kill hundreds without a drop and end up wasting loads of money on supplies. I'd personally stick to cs/ls and perhaps solo if you get bored. You also didn't specify what gear you have available to you, which will also have a massive effect on what killcount is possible.
  22. Are you being crashed by the elite with their chaotic weaponry? :P On a serious note, I often have problems with my internet dcing so I always tend to be careful about what I risk when monsterhunting. If I'm going on a trip with people I don't know/trust then I tend to take 3/4 items of high value and keep the rest as cheap as possible (I don't mind risking barrows armour/whip but not bandos, for example). This works the same with my fire cape, since it took me so many tries to get it, i won't take it somewhere unless I'm certain my grave will be blessed (hoping to get a placeholder from a task sometime soon). If I'm going with friends/clanmates then I can trust them to know what they're doing and bless my grave if I disconnect so I don't mind having higher risks. I don't yet possess any chaotic weapons but I think if I did, I'd only risk it at somewhere like Saradomin GWD with a group of friends where I'm very unlikely to die and if I do, I know my grave's getting blessed. P.S. Keep making these interesting threads sseli, even when I don't post on them they're always interesting to read :)
