  1. thats unfortunate. i just got taken out of the league championships roster (race tomorrow) because of this cold. down and out athletes unite.
  2. i'd reccomend a range tank but i'd modify some stats: 71/77 prayer - 71 for melee deflect, 77 for augury if you plan to be a 1337 deep wildy mage pker. 80 attack (just a personal preference) 70 str my current stats: 70 atk 63 str 61 prayer 94 range 86 mage 86 hp 80 defense (35 summoning 29 dung) goal stats: 80 atk 70 str 80 prayer 99 range 99 mage 99 hp 95/99 defense (i'll probably stop at 95, can't imagine getting 99) i was created as a pker but i just get too much enjoyment out of killing people in mini games so i rarely pk.. especially with this terrible computer. you'll find that prayer is useful if you plan on doing boss fights (i plan on getting it to 80). str to me is useless. in the duel arena when i had 70 atk 54 str and 79 defense with my gear on, nobody could touch me. it was quite hilarious. plus i use melee/slayer to get my defense up so its helpful to have high attack. range tanks own.. if you go over the level 108 range you'll find a ton of people who rip right through you unless you have 5mil+ gear on. so if you actually think your going to get prayer to 95, you should probably focus on 92 herbalore aswell
  3. monster hunter doesnt deserve two spots imo. thinking back in time, crash bandicoot and kingdom hearts had some great fights that i still remember to this day.
  4. only 2/5 coaches ran back in the day. the one who told me to man up was just a beastly soccer player turned gym teacher and also tried to convince me that it wouldn't get any worse running on it. i have no idea where he heard that? anyway, the ankle is 100% now but i struggled to run 4 miles yesterday with this terrible chest cold. now i have to run the 3200 relay at the league meet on tuesday, the only race i'm concerned about right now is my race against time to get rid of this cough.. it might even be bronchitis i have no idea. anyway about my teammates, they were two sophomores and a senior. the senior still seems a little cold towards me but the other two are as friendly as could be. the 400 runner is the goofiest kid alive (he ran a 54 400- it was his first time running it) and the 200 runner had to run in 4 events that day. he really pushed himself in every event. in the 4x4 at the end of the night he was running the 3rd leg. 10 meters away from the exchange zone he collapsed. we were in first place by about 20 meters. finished second to last. i'm sure he had enough grief from that race.
  5. here i was expecting to find a thread where someone was showing how unbelievably dominant chaotic weapons were compared to whips and the lot. but i found someone comparing a d long to a whip and complaing about pures? i know i'm flaming pretty bad here, but if your worried about pures with whips, you've got another thing coming.
  6. we had a big relay invitational meet at the local stadium on thursday. there were over 18 teams competing. the distance events: DMR (800-400-400-1600), 3200 relay, 1600 medly (200,200,400,800) In the DMR i ran the first 400. i ran it in 58 seconds. my time was bad because i've had a chest cold all week (still have it). when i was handing off, i fell and banged up my knee and twisted my ankle. we still managed 7th overall but 3rd in our division for a bronze medal i didnt run the 3200 relay but they got 3rd in our division for a bronze. i ran the 800 in the 1600 medley. After the dmr incident i went to my coaches and told them i didn't think i'd be able to run due to a combination of my breathing, knee, and ankle. they told me to "man up" and go get my ankle taped. the tape was really restrictive. when our 400 runner came flying down the home stretch to hand me the baton, we had the lead by about 10 meters. i went out as i usually do only to find that there was a runner breathing down my neck. i kept the lead for the first 400 meters then realized that i could not take in air. i started to cough, in a flash two runners jumped ahead of me. another runner made the pass with 250m to go. upon seeing him (i was really hurting at this point) i noted that he was not in our division and that we were still in the running for third. i tried as hard as i could for the last 200 meters, between coughs it came upon me that i could not feel my ankle/foot at all. i tried to get myself together for the last 200 meters and i managed to hold any other runners off. i stepped off the track to see my relay team nowhere in sight. funny, i thought. surely even though i had a bad race they'd at least be around to cheer me on for getting 3rd? i caught up to them just sitting in the infield. they didn't speak a word. i didn't talk either, fearing for the worst, i silently got up and went away. a few minutes later i learned that each of them had PRed.. still 3rd place i thought? no. we were running the 2nd out of 3 heats. we were 10th in our division. worse yet, first place (in heat 3 i guess) was 8.3 seconds ahead of us. i ran a 2:18 800. worst race of my life.
  7. summoning > prayer > herb > dung if there is a batch two of dung: summoning > prayer = dung > herb imo

Yeah, i know this is off topic but i have to agree, i think ADD/ADHD is just a stupid exuse for parents who can't control their kids. as far as aspergers goes, in my elementary school there was this one kid and i'm 95% sure he had aspergers ever day this kid would be sitting in the chair in front of the office with all his stuff on, ready to get picked up(early). to literally every passerby, he would say "I SAT ON TWO SCISSORS". and when he was in my lunch in 4th grade, we had these cute little milk cartons at lunch. instead of opening them, he would stab his pencil through and drink from there. also there was a kid at my middle school, he was real smart (a grade ahead of me) if ANYTHING interupted him while he was reading a book, he would start from the very beginning. very calmly, however.
  9. That's a bit uncalled for. I agree he doesn't have Boss stats yet, but don't try to belittle him :shame: actually, i wasn't trying to be mean. at first i had typed "stick to cows" but then i realized that wouldn't help at all. then i was going to suggest slayer but people seem to hate it for stupid reasons. with the current price of big bones, i thought hill giants would actually be a pretty good money making.. maybe fire giants? not sure. edit: its worth mentioning that the mole is never better profit (per hour) than chaos druids, nevermind green dragons.
  10. i saw a video on yt (would post it but i'm sick and i'm going to bed as soon as i hit add reply) where the guy uses it in the safe free for all portal. he did pretty well but then again he had a crazy ranged bonus and a range-boosting prayer(level 138). it was definatley the same speed as the rune crossbow. if it had karils speed, i'd settle for a 90 range bonus even at that token cost.
  11. true. mage got some needed gear/prayer. melee got 3 new weapons though. they basically get a jacked up whip, godsword, and vestas longsword.
  12. Hello, as more and more no-lifers are getting chaotic weapons each day.. it is obvious that they have overlooked the chaotic crossbow, and with good reason. the chaotic crossbow is (simply put) a rune crossbow with +10 range bonus.. while basically EVERY other chaotic weapon (besides perhaps the staff) is amazing, this seems like something someone would get maybe to complete their chaotic weapon collection. it's not even worth the risk to take into pvp for the extra +10 range bonus.. and 2million to recharge? whose sticking with a one time cost of 16k for rune? have any of you personally used it? do you think jagex will be updating it? what is your opinion?
  13. call me oldschool, but the reason i won't be getting this is because i use b2p so often on slayer tasks.. yeah maybe time to get summoning up.
  14. yes, thats it. and moderators, i do not mean to be offensive or spam at all here.

No, he doesn't work for GM, and we don't have a LOT of money. I don't want to talk specifics since i know it is a harsh economic environment around the world, and most of us are fortunate enough to have 1 car. all i'll say is that the miata he got a ridiculously low price on from a local renowned doctor who decided to move to florida (the doctor is now retired and drives a ferrari according to my father). the solstice, however new, wasn't as much money as you would expect. if we're talking taste in cars, i like things that look a little bit exotic and foreign. muscle cars don't really interest me.. my dream car would be like a porsche. my next door neighbors, who we think are in the russian mafia, recently pulled up in a bright orange porsche boxter (with georgia plates)- and perhaps its worth mentioning that they peel out in it at least 3 times a day.. i'll try to get a picture. ps- they sell bottles of lotion at the mall, and as i posted this, they burned out.
  16. very nice. we don't have 8th graders since we're a private school, but our best two jv guys (9th) go 5:07 and 5:08. hoping to break 5 by next year?
  17. not to be a [wagon], and i don't mean to discourage you at all, but consider running some slow runs (with a good pair of shoes) while waiting for the fracture to heal (not sure if its a stress fracture from running or not). but if you can't run at 70% of your sprint speed (ex- 15.5 second 100) then you need to take some time off as fractures are pretty serious injuries. i'm not sure if it IS healed or if it is in the process of healing, but here are some things that are helpful: ABC: stand on one leg, slightly bend that knee. stick your other leg out and draw the alphabet. 1-2 sets on each leg runners pose: bend your knee slightly more than in the last exercise. with the other leg bend your knee at a 90 degree angle behind you, and swing your arms as if running. 30 seconds. stair hangs stand sideways on a stair. hang one foot/leg off sligthly. keep both legs straight and lift your free leg up and down. your knees should not bend. its all in your hips
  18. Hey guys.. we went to quite a large invitational on friday where teams from 3 different districts attended. i ran the 4x8 and 800.. the 4x4 ended at 12:35 so it was quite a long day although my races were at 4:45 and 8:45. 4x8 we were seeded 4th against a team we never raced (different district), defending cross country state champion team, and defending district 4x8 team from last year. the xc champ team ran a 8:03 meet record which is blaaaaazzzinng fast for our part of the state. the defending district champs went 8:12 which i believe was a season pr. we ended up getting beaten out by the team from a different district (8:23) and another team who slipped past our anchor to beat us by .36 seconds. so, we ended up fifth with a time of 8:53.45. i ran first leg with a split of 2:08 for a new pr.. next kid ran 2:12, next 2:19, next 2:14. i wasn't too mad at them though, it was a good experience and i doubt ill be running with them for the district race. it is worth mentioning that our 4x8 team currently holds the LC division 1 district2 best time at 8:43, ran a few weeks ago. then in the 800, i was in heat 3/4 (second fastest) i would have been seeded in the fast heat but i had to run as a different runner for my team.. thus explaining why i was seeded at 2:12. i got out to a good start (led the first lap) then got reeled in by 3 kids.. in the fast race 4 guys broke 2:00. it was tough. i was 16th out of 46 kids. only got beat by 2 kids in my league(our district has two leagues) and i was told i was only beat by two sophomores and one freshman, the rest juniors and seniors. oh, and i ran a 2:10.3 which is the exact qualifying time for districts. how much longer do you guys have in your seasons?

  21. hello, if you don't know what the title is about, please go on youtube right now. i was wondering if anyone recognized the instrumental from the song or if it has been reposted anywhere? i'm really looking to do a remake of it.
  22. it would be nice if you could reorganize your information so your question would actually make sense. from what i'm reading, the answer would be: no this isn't that much like slayer at all, if you die with it and it doesnt protect, you need to get the tokens again. if you want the full "system" specifics check the kb. yes it can be done by anybody, however its easier with good stats.
  23. thanks for the replies guys (i rhymed). i think i'm going to still end up getting it.. originally i was going to get the mercenaries gloves but then i realized that barrows gloves are soooo much better. after i get the sight i might just save up and hope for a batch 2 (since i only play like 10 hours a week now that track and school are getting intense)
