If you've ever gotten a sandwich lady while struggling with a steel or mithril dragon, she will only be in the way. Why, jagex has for some reason added this code a long time ago that closes all interfaces while in combat. I don't hate her, she's for the most part of use with her free food delivery. But Jagex really need to fix so you can respond to her while in combat in some way so she at least doesn't punish you for merely being unable to answer.

I disagree that the super ranging potion is a good idea. In fact, at high levels, the ranging potion already gives boosts close to a super attack potion. At level 89 I can boost myself up to 101 and hit very hard with the right equipment. I can ko another player easily with a couple of good close to 40 hits with my rune crossbow and the right bolts. I think a super ranging potion would throw off the balance. Beating other players would be way too easy once you have some sweet 85+ ranging stat, even if they wield torag, bandos or some other armor with good ranged defense and rush to spec you with a god sword. Magic is also deadly for that matter if you have the right spells at hand. The advantage at your hand coming from spells that freeze your enemy, causes 75% damage retaliate and other very powerful strategic spells. So no super magic potion for the mage to throw things off balance, thank you. :D

I remember that when I started playing in 2004 I tried to act as helpful and mature as I was capable of. I was only 15 back then. Turning 19 in October this year. I cared little about skill levels and competition. I just skilled and chilled and aimed to gain as many friends as possible. I thought most people who played back then were good people unless they were acting like bored moronic adolescents at the Karamja fishing spot - where I spent a real good lot of my time back then. Lots have changed, including myself, but if you create a positive aura around you, people will hook up. And that's why I do not think I have had to deal much with "noobs", or more precise "idiots", through my gaming experience, because I never directly took a defensive and cold stance against people upon the first impression and allowed them to show their many good sides as well. And it's true what Turtlefemm says about maturity not necessarily being related to age. My oldest friends on Runescape used to be kind and very caring when they were still 13. But a few years later they turned cold, arrogant and judgmental due to puberty and I no longer felt they were people I wanted to hang out with. Whenever you deal with another human, remember, everyone just seek to be loved.

I have had quite a history of homeworlds through the years. Back in the F2P days I only spent my time in W67. Once I got members a bit over a year ago through Paybycash I went over to W83. Later on when I got member through debit card somewhere in February, W121 and W124 was my two home worlds for a while until I discovered Lightning and soon thereafter Blogscape clan chats through that tip.it poll, I started to hang out in W99 in hope of meeting those cool people I met in Blogscape. Nowadays you will with few exceptions see me hang out in W99, often killing dragons, training slayer or buying ranged supplies at the grand exchange. Hehe, see known faces often while slaying. \

That's okay. I confirm myself spotted, if the outfit and the way I talked did not already completely give me away already. That's definitely me in that black d'hide! Sure took it's while for someone to finally snipe me. Not that I hide much. :P

why do you think RS is in the state it is in
Eagle_Tas replied to dragon246665's topic in General Discussion
Thankfully, Jagex seems to find their solutions for the game that works decently well. With the additions of the in-game world map, Runescape HD and the new bank also shows they are starting to listen to players and shaping up. It is just the problem that Jagex is a small company and does not have big enough teams to work on everything they want to include. Yet, we see major changes every year, so I am excited to see how different Runescape will be in 2009 compared to today's Runescape. Just looking back at when I started playing in 2004 makes me excited. So many things have changed, many for the better, some for the worse. -
Yes it's available in f2p, so are Bounty Hunter and Clan Wars.

Finally found out what a good friend the crossbow is to the ranger? Try adamant bolts and ranging potions and your max hit will be up in 27 already! Check with me for ranging setups advice, K G. :) Recently made a value check and all my arrows, bolts, javelins, throwing knives and Ranging potions adds up to a total value of whooping 1.8m! Oh dear! Meet me in game and I will give you a little present for discovering the crossbow!

You appear to have a great personality. Since you're a captain in Evilscape I assume I will get to know you better there, hehe. I wish you a ship load of fortune at achieving your goals, it is always nice to have them, even more so outside the virtual world. Oh, and well done being accepted into the TET crew! =D>

Have a safe recovery, Miss Sugar. Hope you get better real soon. -
5th August 2008 - Empty paper syndrome As some of you have noticed, I am back online again. After spending some time moving into my new apartment, I went back home to watch the cat while my parents go away on vacation and my brother goes to Gotemburg. I will disappear around 12th August again, however. Nevermind those news, this is more serious. I have for the first time no idea what to write in my blog! So I got an idea of what I could write! Welcome to the blog-writing tutorial - Empty paper syndrome and how to deal with it! Teaching you how I go about with writing a new blog entry. Please tolerate the bias in it. Enjoy! ;) Step 1: Preparing an entry. This quick little slap together is called Mandot. He's a crossover of a man and a dot and have an idea of a blog entry. So you want to make a blog that captures your reader with your magic. Well, of course that is what you want to achieve at minimum effort. Now that is the only problem. It takes a little more than minimum effort, but with experience and talent it gets easier. :) The first thing you want to do is to think of a topic of the day. A theme that you want for your super blog entry. Now that could be anything, but an achievement usually goes well. However, something such as photoes of you pelting random people could be just as fun. So here you go, a picture of me pelting Sentry Wolf as revenge for telling Linnea what I was (secretly) going to cook her for dinner. Yeargh! HAAA HAAA! Got you there little wolfie. >:D Whichever theme or topic you choose, always write it with a thick layer of your personality and humour and it will be fun to read even if it is about sleeping around some flowers in the middle of Gielinor. Step 2: Writing your entry. Mandot is working on his blog, I think. Wait, what's that he's drawing... ERM! Now you want to write whatever good idea (or bad, hehe) you have in mind. If it is your very first blog entry, the layout and style will set the tone of your blog. Whether you follow the school book examples or make a personal one, it should be easy to read and invitive. If you read my blog you will see I have a specific structure consisting of a header at the top followed by an introduction. After the introduction I usually have an illustrative picture with a comment slapped below it followed by the bulk text divided into paragraphs. Made in less than a minute. Nice looking for a mandot, eh? If I do not have a screenshot to season the text, I draw something quickly and slap it up anyway. Pictures entertain and invites the reader to keep on reading. If your blog only consists of a lot of text, it may intimidate your reader after all. Many readers also do not actually read your blog, they just look at your pictures and post a "good luck". That's not necessarily a bad thing, it just confirms people are lazy but still enjoy your blog... hopefully. Step 3: Stylishing the work. Mandot is finishing his... erm... blog entry. Now you have your entry finished, it is time to finish the last bit. First of all, and it may seem obvious. Run a spelling check for simple spelling errors and typos. Read over your blog entry and see if it is properly paragraphed as you like it. See if you can add any extra pictures or draw one for the use of the blog. Furthermore, it is not just pictures you can add to work your text up. Perhaps add some poetry if that fits your deal. Reuse a set of vocabulary personal to you and use linking paragraphs where possible; it creates a better flow. Add subtle humour or play with the words and you will keep yourself and your reader entertained. I do so myself all the time. End your entry with a finishing or summarising comment. I usually use an ending line where I thank the reader for spending his or her time reading my piece of creativity. I vary this line a bit with every entry to keep it personal and less automised and throw in some subtleties here and there. Oh, what do you know, you now have a perfect copy of a typical Eagle Tas's Blog of Glory (13) entry! Enjoy the lawsuit when I send my lawyers at you for stealing my layout. Muhahaha! >:) Thanks for reading this silly little tutorial or whatever it is. Don't stare too long at Mandot's little R-rated "blog". Chances are that it will erect your will to write a blog yourself, hehehe. Until next time!

1st August 2008 - A new home Today is the day I move to my new apartment as well as my parents 27th wedding day. It is most likely the most interesting wedding day they have ever had. Driving cars all day in the middle of a heat wave, lifting and carrying heavy furniture, spending over 600 000 of savings in one go and installing chairs. Since you can understand moving around heavy things and sweating like a pig in the 31 degrees celsius heat while working, you will know that as I write this, just before I go to bed, I am very tired. Yet, I can affourd to make a happy dance or two. After all, my new neighbours are playing provocatingly annoying techno music. Now that is even worse than the very loud chinese songs my old neighbour used to play. Let us hope this is just an unfortunate one-time occasion. I have some news as well, aparently my parents do not know how to communicate with me. They told me nothing about how I was going to move. Aparently, we are just fixing up my new apartment and then I am going back home once we got some vital furniture like, say a bed? Well, for the first night, sleeping on this uncomfortable and back-pain generating blow-up bed will have to do. So, until 13th August, you will still be able to see me on Runescape! *Does the happy dance* I've got an apartment, I've got an apartment! Thanks! P.S. Mind me, I didn't have any energy left to draw anything for the blog entry. So for the time being, it's just text.

31th July 2008 - Rest in Peace Runescape Unfinished Pixel rough-out. Shows the front of my house. © Fredrik "Eagle" Larsson, 2008 It is with hope and optimism as well as a bit of regret that I announce that I will from now on not be available. As with earlier posts, I have announced that I am moving on the 1st August. Well that is tomorrow as of I am writing this. Unfortunatelly, as I move out I will at first not have any electricity or broadband. Of course, electricity is something that is pretty quickly fixed, but broadband may take longer. We will also buy a lot of furniture such as a bed, table, sofa, shelves and so on. Hopefully, this will save me from many future losses. As fit of the theme, I completed both "Between a Rock..." and "The Giant Dwarf" and bought myself a fantastic new grave, Angel of Death. Hopefully, it will watch me while I am gone. Good byes from Eagle! © Fredrik "Eagle" Larsson, 2008 I have appreciated all the time I have spent together with you on Runescape, all the comments I have recieved on my blog and all the continued effort you all do in-game as well as in your actual life! Wish me good luck and I will naturally post an entry as soon as I am back online! So long and thank you for the fish!

Regardless of your level, though. You should always wear as maxed a ranged bonus as possible and use ranging potions to boost your progress. If you are ranged level 70+, using Rune crossbow with broad-bolts, mithril or adamant bolts will be your best generic setup for slayer and monsters. If you intend to train on ogres, yaks or some other relativelly safe monster, a magic shortbow or throwing knives will suffice to get yourself some quick good levels.

Eagle_Tas replied to Th3_Crusader's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
It sounds to me like Blogworld is starting to become a big burden on your shoulders Crusader. Try to relax and do not think too much about it. Instead, you have that sweet 2k total coming up! I can imagine a lot of your friends want to be there to see the sparkles when you achieve it, including me if I can show up in time, hehe! -
I had fun this evening with you. Don't hesitate to ask me for advice in-game. I will show you more interesting creatures you could own later, if I don't run out of time before I move out. I have already said these things but I'll list them here for your own reference: * Powertrain magic until you can teleport and get around, it's not much work. :) * Achieve attack level 70 and I'll let you borrow my whip! * Train slayer and you will have new good creatures to earn cash on. ** I cannot stress how important this is enough! Don't bore/burn yourself out! It is a game, and games are supposed to be fun and not a chore you force yourself to do! If you're bored, do something else for a few minutes before returning. Quests I suggest you do to increase your options, I'll mark them with an # if they're long, % if they're hard: * Animal Magnetism - accumulator gives you free steel arrows and picks your bolts up automatically. * Death Plateau, Troll Stronghold - I'll show you how to do aviansies! * #%Itchlarian's Little Helper, #Smoking Kills - Slayer instantly turns more interesting. * Any other quest that unlocks new areas, items or other things. Complete these tasks, train your overall combat stats and we can definitely go monster hunt together! Woot! :D

26th July 2008 - The first piece of Barrows I have for a long time been saving up for a Verac full set. Today I can happily announce it is in my bank. But before I write about it. I want to write a little about something else related. I decided to finally pick up my spade and old clue scroll and get it done. It was indeed a very good decision, as it lead up to a 900k profit! Zamorak dragonhide body! 900k worth of ranging chaos! Now that I had this fabulous piece of equipment in my hand, I needed to sell it. Unfortunately, it would not sell in mid price in the grand exchange. So who bought it? No one less than Runecid, himself! Thank you very much! Now don't go lose it like your last one! A few moments later, I realised I suddenly had a bit over 3.3 million coins and that was more than enough to buy the verac set. I bought it for mid-price the following day after a brief aviansie trip and here it is: Goal achieved! My first barrow set is full Verac! Now that I have finally achieved this goal, I am off to achieve another. The next buy I plan to save up to is the a bit less expensive dragon axe. I look forward to holding it in my right virtual hand! Thank you!

Oh, nice! Congratulations Crusader for 72 "catching-moving-money"! Can I ask how much you earn on training it? :) -
Tenerife is nice. I have been there a long time ago. The beaches there are lovely, unless I am thinking of some other canary island I have been to. You can definitely look forward to it - not that I doubt that you do, hehe! ;) Glad to see you enjoyed your euro trip, as well. Care to elaborate on what you have seen and done and which countries you have had the pleasure to visit? I haven't been on vacation in a foreign country for 3 years now, so it would be fun to read about it. =P~ Overall, I like your blog! Have a look at mine and chat with me in-game?

25th July 2008 - Melting the Cold War As promised, this blog entry is not about me... even though I'd like it. I mean, I am me and I love me. But no time for me this time. Let's for once think about my just as important significant other! Oh yes, this issue takes up cute less-than-capable-to-fly birds, whipping sadism coming closer, moving out, and getting four digits of sweetness. Yes, I know you are already drooling so let me leave the keyboard to my darling (or at least we can pretend that I do *cough* It's mine!)! This time in a long multi-sectioned entry! Melting the Cold War After hearing from my man about Cold War being a fun quest, who has not even done the quest, I started to look forward to do it, what with the penguins and all. I also saw that during the quest, you can steal cowbells and I thought I'd steal one and give one to my man. He did say he was going to buy one once but he did not pull that off. Apparently, 20 euro is a lot of cash! I started the quest and built a house for the penguins but then they just went ahead and demolished it, with beaks and balls! That made my sad. :( Aww, cuuuuuuute! I turned into a penguin! Turning into a penguin is fun! Even though having to remake it a couple of times wasn't. Stupid Eagle, he ruined one "trying to help me". Ping and Pong was fun too. Eagle said something that they were the audio staff's mascots but who cares... they have violins! However, it made me so mad that I couldn't figure out what to do after having done the agility course; I did it twice with low hp. Grrr... and then the penguins finally have the nerve to steal my penguin suit. It was so cute, warm and fluffy. Awww... :'( Oh my bird! Finally done with Cold War! Finally, phew, the quest was done! I am still sad that they stole my suit that I now have to make another one. I hope Larry will shrink me again. If he does, I will go all the way to Grand Exchange and fool around there for a while just for fun. "Bwuck, Bwuck!" :) Nearing the whipping fun! In other news, I am only 200k away from affourding a whip. However, I still do not have the level yet to wield it. Oh, I long for it so much! Me and my man, Eagle, went to cockroaches the other day and killed some cockroaches. Eagle got his less impressive ranged level 89 just before I got my even more interesting attack level 67! Tihi! Attack level 67! Got it just after Eagle's less impressive ranged level 89... I can't wait to whip you all around, heheheee! Building faster than Eagle can read the IKEA catalogue. Now that Fredrik is moving out to his new apartment in a week, I wanted to build some myself. With teak and mahogany planks on my shoulders and [bleep]es stereotypically in my mouth, I went building a larger and larger house in Taverley. I also made a room for a new little nervous friend. My new maid can break plates, make moldy-looking stews and scream of fear of rats. Proof that I am better than Eagle in at least something. Ha-haaa! Eagle got owned, tihihi! Now I'm happy. :) Four months and four digits. It has taken four months to come this far. I now have total level 1000. It seems big to Eagle, but to me it does not seem like anything special. Wait until I have total level 1337 and then I may smile a bit to it. Bye byeee! *Waves with a cute smile* Thank you darling and you dear reader. Now allow me to get a bit egocentric! I got ranged level 89! Woot! Ranged level 89! 10 levels to maximised ownage! Thank you again. Until next time!
