  1. Hehe, stop by on mine will you? Click on my signature for it. Anyway, you are doing great! You are catching up to my combat level very quickly. Try to beat my 86 ranged, maybe?
  2. Lol sounds like fun. I'm not making any losses right? I'll check into selling off some to you, I guess. :)
  3. Trying to hog the front page, Starman? You sure bump this thread a lot unlike me, my blog is somewhere on the 3rd or 4th page, lol. Anyway, good luck or some standard blah, blah, "polite greeting" and enjoy your relativelly contentless blog. :P  Any news ready to post?
  4. Sounds like you are suggesting you will not quit before you have your cooking cape. Enjoy your two summer weeks away from the computer! Catch some sun rays and have fun, Sugar! :)
  5. darkblade986 - added/credited: Baby Blue Dragon -2- As the subject title suggests, Baby red dragons actually have level 48 while the bestiary suggests they have 65 or something like that. Here is picture proof of my claim:
  6. Overall, a rune crossbow with mithril bolts is a better solution than crystal bow or dark bow. It hits about as often and hard as crystal bow (shorter range though), is cheaper and is more flexible since you can grapple, use a shield or use enchanted bolts. Go with it. :)
  7. Sweet blog! Thanks for the post earlier. I like all these fun pictures you have around, hehe. Have fun whipping fish from the water into the boiler and good luck! I will stay tuned with your blog, so keep posting! :
  8. Also, you can farm herbs for some extra profit while doing any other moneymaking method. Another thing you could do is follow price fluctuations and invest in things when prices are low and sell it for a higher price a day later (merchant in other words). There are as already stated, however, no instant ways to get 10 millions.
  9. Good luck, Crusader. I am confident you will do a great job administrating our beloved Blogscape chat. We will all help you manage this new little herding burden (or at least I am willing to do so), so do not be afraid to ask for a helping hand (or prod)! =D> :
  10. 30th June 2008 - Making a Name The past few days have been very interesting as I started engaging myself more to the forums and the community. My friend list has been doubled with new tip.it buddies. But before I go into detail about some fun events I would like to give a congratulatory to Kgisme and Gradeskip93 for their firemaking and cooking cape respectively. Furthermore, Paul, you are a fried chicken - ninja or not. Here comes the results of the race: Owned you, NinjaChicken! Please don't judge my art skills by this 5 minute doodle. Eagle Tas: Winner, with 85 ranged! Dr Paul Leet: Loser, 272k xp left to mining level 85. Since Paul did not win, he has not deserved his kudos spot in my blog. Tough luck, slowpoke! At the beginning of the race, Paul had mining level 83 and I had ranged level 81. The goal was level 85. At first, we seemed even but Paul made the choice to slack and quickly fell behind after level 84. God bless the Penance Queen! Me playing as collector. Moving onto those events I wanted to mention, a few days ago Kota invited me to go play Barbarian Assault with him and Gradeskip93, A Local Guy, Sithlord Man and Sheep. It was my first time playing it so at first it was a lot to digest and it took a few three waves or so before I knew what I was supposed to do. My favourite role was to play as collector, although attack and healer was quite fun. Defense was not my thing, though. I never got good at luring those annoying penance runners. Me and Skimmystrown doing a relatively successful duo against the Kalphite Queen. Another event that I have enjoyed was going duo with Skimmystrown. The lad was very good at it, and we got 4 rune chain mails so we broke even. Allow me to earn a few levels in attack, defense and ranged and I am sure I will be great to duo with at KQ despite not having money to buy a verac set just yet. Gradeskip93 and the party doing a synchronised cooking cape emote in a line. If you have missed it, Kgisme and Gradeskip had their first skill capes. I attended to both and gave them my applause. It was fun seeing such a crowd of known faces gathering to two such personally big events as it must have been to Kgisme and Gradeskip93. Enjoy your 99s, you two! :D Now that I have posted the few bigger things that I have spent the last days at, I would like to thank everyone who has noticed and read my and Linnea's blog and for all the friends I have made simply by posting and engaging myself to the forums. You will definitelly see more of me this summer! Wow, this got a bit long. Good work plowing through it, hehe.
  11. I think I remember a period sometime two or three years ago when noob was censored. However, n00b was not censured so it was easy to get around. The censor disappeared really quickly so I just thought it was a glitch in the censor system back then.
  12. This is not widelly known, but in a news post before the RWT changes, Jagex mentioned an automated system to detect macroers. Although they claimed that the reports from the computer was checked up by customer support staff, it is safe to assume many innocent players fell victim to this system. If they have a system to detect macros, they probably also have systems to monitor all chats in-game, PM, Clan chat and public. This is probably filtered by blacklisted words and if you are unlucky, it is black marks for you. The flaws with such a system are obvious.
  13. I disagree only that Pest Control is a fast way to train. XP gain is halved and the 40-80 points you gain per hour hardly makes up for it. The 30k-40k xp you earn cannot be compared to the 150k-200k xp you gain by chinning. The money you earn is not huge either, but of course, it adds up. I do agree however that it is strange that you would get flamed for using pest control to earn your levels. It is not a horribly slow way to earn your xp on and it is a fun game to play once in a while with some good rewards. Kudos to you, Xano, if you get 99s through Pest control! 8-)
  14. On the location lists in the Slayer guide, the link to the map of Mos Le'Harmless Caves directs to a 404 Page not found. The link refer to: http://www.tip.it/runescape/page=mos_le ... _caves.htm Correct this with: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=mos_l ... _caves.htm Are not typographical errors wonderful? :) EDIT: By the way, it won't hurt if there is a sticky for invalid links reports.
  15. It's easier to calculate an average / hour of chinning. With potions and grey chins I have averaged with 150k xp / hour at ranged level 84. With red chinchompas and higher level it is not impossible that you could have 200k xp / hour. This varies a lot however depending on how agressive the skeletons are and how quickly they respawn. If you are unlucky you may end up with only 100k xp / hour (caused usually by disturbing Monkey Madness questers who steal the attention of the skeletons.).
  16. It has already been made clear by Jagex that this is an optional detail mode. All it does is taking advantage of your graphics card to allow new and better graphics. It is the same game, just with an additional flash you can activate. You have nothing to worry about. Anyone with a computer that is less than 4 years old should be able to use the new graphics mode unless you have an office laptop. In any case you can still enjoy the old detail modes if your computer cannot handle the new detail modes. Peace  P.S. Once the graphic updates are online, bear with Jagex if you encounter bugs with it. They work hard fixing things up before releasing it, but just like when quick chat was released, issues may slip by the quality assurance team or appear first after the release. Report and be patient should this happen.
  17. Oh, I have slayer level 59 and magic level 61 so I should already be ready to mage at barrows, even though it is barely. It is about time I setup Draynor stat signatures for both me and Linnea so you all can quickly review our stats. :) EDIT: Already added. Thanks for reading my ego... erm, blog.
  18. 2 million fletch xp / hour? That's skill cape on less than a weekend! Well, for those who can come over them of course.
  19. If Runescape suddenly would turn to be single player, it would be like returning to how I used to play it 4 years ago. Back then I only relied on myself to get the things I wanted (or regular stores, of course). If I needed food, I would go fish! Or craft my own amulet, or go smithing... you get the point. Back then I used to play for the sheer enjoyment of discovering this new world, exploring the skills, solving the quests on my own. But while I would have survived in such an environment (and I still rely on my own skills to get most of the basic things I want or need), it was the social factor that kept the game enjoyable. Cooperating or competing - without friends and a sense of community, Runescape would be just a dead, meaningless pass time with little sense of achievement. I would not want that and I would eventually quit of boredom and only come back for nostalgic moments of what I have spent so many years at enjoying. Runescape is a life-style.
  20. Oh, so Lem sniped Shotdown12 but not me? Gf! I was in that area at the time of the snipe, even gave him training advice. Continue hunting.
  21. Oh hehe, I do not regularly visit the Lightning chat, but I am a regular in the blogscape chat so I am quite familiar with the more, uh, "famous" people around Lightning it seems. Ended up with a score of: 20 - 9 advanced [hide=Answer sheet]1. c - 1 2. b - 3 3. c - 2 4. b - 2 5. a - 3 6. b - 2 7. c - 2 8. a - 1 9. c - 3 10. a - 1 - 20 points! Advanced: 1. c - 3 2. a - 1 3. c - 3 4. b - 1 5. a - 1 - 9 points![/hide]
  22. Asianboy: You just found further proof of that my short-term memory is somewhat messed up. Lulz
  23. I didn't read every reply before posting (because I should really be sleeping and will as soon as I have written this), so mind me if I missed anything important. But I did read the first post. While intriguing, I find it awfully unbalanced. A dungeon that takes 20-30 minutes to go through and full of traps and monsters is a bit over the top. Even if you go in a group, each member will take a lot of damage and waste up almost all their supplies. To then later compensate it with a bank and npcs in an area that logically wouldn't be populated at all sounds just strange. Rather there should be an altar of guthix, some healing pond that restores your HP, cures poison and disease and restores stats back to normal. Make the dungeon less of an armagedon to your HP (but still challenging enough just to let those with 90+ in related stats get through in decent shape). Somehow, your Titan of Guthix seems a bit like a combination of Tok-Jad and the daganoth kings. But I still enjoy the idea of being dependent of other to get those, I'll assume, massive rewards that comes from this mega-über boss. Cool idea, have fun playing with it. :D
  24. Maple logs are cheap, about 25 coins last time I checked. I suppose they should be fast enough if you can't affourd yews.
