Fishing Floccinaucinihilipilification
Try herb farming. In five minutes, it'll get you the same profit that a 99 fisher would make in an hour, and you only need like 32 farming + a couple low-level quests.

High Stakes: 5 Facts About Branches of Darkmeyer
Light spoiler warning. 1. Vanstrom Klause is a jerk. He's killed me like eight times already. And he's organizing genocidal atrocities. And he gloats mercilessly about it. It's like if you crossed a Bond villain with Adolf Eichmann and the dog from Duck Hunt, and then gave him superpowers and made him drink blood. What a bastard. 2. The Blisterwood tree is disgusting. Seriously, look at that thing. And it throbs. It's like a tree made entirely out of zits. I mean, just...eww. 3. Why are there so many goddamn vyre corpses? Okay, I'm sorry, but this is just ridiculous. Can we get these things to stack in the bank properly, please? Yeesh! You might say it's a pain in the neck. :shades: 4. It's really easy to become a Vyrelord. Two-thirds of Darkmeyer has been trying its whole unlife to gain enough status to become a Vyrelord or Vyrelady. They've been working for years. It took me less than an hour. If it's this easy, you'd think they'd all have made it to the top level by now. What exactly are they doing with their time? *imagining* "Eh, I could accomplish my life's ambition before lunch today...nah, American Idol is on, I'll do it tomorrow." "Hmm, I'd really like to be a wealthy aristocrat with status and privilege far beyond my current social stature...ooh, look! A monkey! Haha, it's so cute! ...Huh, I lost my train of thought. Oh well, back to flying around in circles. Whee!" On second thought, maybe I don't want to know. 5. Blisterwood weapons kick ass. Seriously. I can walk up to a Vyrewatch with my no pots, no prayer, and 85 ranged, and do this: Now that's what I call staking it to the man! :shades:

[VIDEO] Curly Root Guide! (Jadinko Lair Firemaking/Woodcutting)
You've left out the very important information that the jadinkos attracted on the surface affect the rewards obtained at the altar. The seed drops you get depend on the seeds that are dropped by the jadinkos hanging out up top. If you attract draconic or carrion jadinkos and pay striped vines to ward off the common jadinkos, you're guaranteed to get vine herb seeds. IIRC, the full 2k favor gives you 50 seeds? I think? That's quite good.

Temple Trekking and Burgh de Rott Ramble
I found the food most useful for leveling Dean Vellio. He has to be in melee range to attack, so he often ends up tanking some damage if I can't pull aggro before he runs into combat, and occasionally needs the food to keep fighting. Jayene and Zapp can attack at range, so it's easier to get them into safespots or stand in between them and the monster; as a result, I didn't need as much food for them. One thing I've done in the past with ghasts is bringing raw food instead of cooked so they can't rot it. That eliminates the need for the druid pouch, which is annoying to fill. Another item that hasn't been mentioned is a terrorbird pouch. I carry the beast of burden in case I get a string of snakes and/or nail beasts before I get a chance to bank. Doesn't come up too often, but when it does, it's good to have.

Maples or Willows?
Any cursory examination will quickly reveal that maples are slower xp than willows with no profit to speak of; there is no woodcutting level at which they are a good option.
-
Battlefield and Effigies
That depends on how the permissions are set in your clan. It's possible to change both the rank at which you can edit the battlefield and the rank at which you can start new battles. They can be set as low as Recruit if the clan's leadership so chooses.

Any advice for a returning player?
When in doubt, do quests. If that fails, raise your levels until you can do more quests.

Fishing from 95-99
Since you asked, when you catch double sharks, you don't get any additional xp for the second shark. You'll get the same xp as catching one shark. Much like the seer's headband's 10% bonus for chopping maple trees, the xp for sharks is so low to begin with that the necklace could give ten times as much bonus xp as it does and they still wouldn't be worth catching (unless you really want a stuffed shark for your trophy room or something).
-
Battlefield and Effigies
On the clan battlefield, you can customize the map. One of the options for customizations is to add power-up squares that boost a given stat. Edit the battlefield to add in squares that increase summoning and/or agility. Enter a battle and step on the power-up squares to receive the boost.

Ask Evil Chicken
Another of my articles was published in the Tip.It Times. You can read it here. They changed my (correct) punctuation of "parents' house" to (incorrect) "parent's house". There are two parents. It's plural. The apostrophe should be after the s. I checked my original submission and it was right the way I had it when I sent it in. So...someone changed it to be wrong. Nice, guys. Nice. -.- But yeah. Click the link and check it out.

Ask a n00b
Dear n00b, I have about 3k blue charms in my bank and I'm not sure what to do with them. My Summoning level is 80. What do you think would be the best way to spend all these charms? Or would it be better to save them? --Charmed in Varrock Hi Charmed: My friend told me titans r good. But I did some math and ur going to need alot of spirit shards. Im not sure its worth the money. U would need 15m gp to buy them all, i dont think most people can afford it, its alot. Go to the party room and wait for someone to drop a party hat, if u get it then i think u will have the money and u can make some pouches, if u need talismans for them a good place is to kill wizards south of fally. :) Yw, n00b Dear n00b, I want to get 99 fishing. What would be the best way to train? (I'm P2P.) --Angling in Ardougne Hi Angling: Well a good way is with lobs, u can catch those on karjama, I did some math and that would be about 15m so u could use those blue charms, o that was the other guy, sry. Also u could do rocktail which would be 50m so u would be pretty rich. Sharks r the best tho, there slow but there like 100m if u get 99 on them, so its worth it. Theres some in Catherby. U will be really rich if u can do it, lol, good luck. :) Yw, n00b Dear n00b, What is the best weapon to use against waterfiends? I heard chaotic maul was good, but I don't have any chaotics. --Bemused in Burthorpe Hi Bemused: Waterfiends r weak to crush, so u just use the weapon with the most crush. So the best is statius warhammer which has 123, or vestas spear which has 120 (i have a list of all weapons that i found on tip.it, i can sort by crush att). After that is dhraok axe, then barrelchest anchor, then gravite 2h, then torag hammers, then warhammer class 1, then veracs flail, then granite maul, then godsword. I dont know what some of these weps r but there u go, thats a list, use the best 1 u can. :) Yw, n00b

Herblore Habitat
I have trouble getting to the seventh herb patch in one run, but the sixth one is pretty easy, so I just do six.
-
Herblore Habitat
Oh, it definitely depends where you put your traps. You want them close to where the draconics are spawning, which means more towards the southeastern part of the area. Incidentally, I've done a fair share of baron shark fishing, and it's really slow. Even slower than regular shark fishing, since you can't get an agility bonus for double baron sharks. I only do it because I like fishing. Would not recommend it.

Herblore Habitat
Seems like the efficiency number crunching ought to take the herblore xp into account. Also, isn't Scroll of Cleansing relevant?

►►► Success Rate of Getting Logs, Ores, etc. ◄◄◄
Just from casual observation, I know that oak trees are chopped at a static rate once you reach a certain woodcutting level, and I'm fairly sure other trees work off the same time interval.

Would it be wrong to turn into Diy'ing now?
DIY is a thing you do, not a thing you are. Going to the GE once does not mean you can never DIY anything ever again. If you're gonna do it, do it.

Sees_all1 is already part of the EP... Thing is, if you put 2 people in a room discussing opposing ideas about the same subject; someone is going to change his mind, or they end up killing eachother... It's rather hard to actually write down two opposing ideas... RuneScape isn't that complicated, neither are the people in general that play it... It is hard enough to come up with a balanced article, but if you do two biased ones (to opposing ends of the argument), the flaming it envokes is likely to be worse than usual... We write because we like to, and given a chance, shine a (new) light on a subject that needs one... How our articles are interpreted is not something we can 100% control (see my last attempt as being lighthearted), but we do aim for people to at least enjoy the read, even if they disagree with the article's premise... Pff, nah, writing counterpoint articles is easy. I do it all the time. See? http://forum.tip.it/blog/39-troacctids-runescape-blog/page__tag__point-counterpoint

Dungeoneering Report Card: One Year Later
One year ago, I wrote this overview of the things that bug me about Dungeoneering. Well, it's been a year, so let's look back at the issues that annoyed me at my first impression and see how I feel about them a year later. Here we go! [hide=Click to begin.] The prices have been lowered like I wanted, which is great. There are still some that I think are way overpriced, though. The bonecrusher and herbicide are too expensive for their marginal effects; I'd like to see them reduced in price so that they can be more useful to the low/mid-level demographic to whom they're most useful. I feel similarly about Rapid Renewal--the people who would get the best use out of it can't afford the token cost. It would be nice to see a price reduction for some of the black sheep as well: Mercenary's gloves, spirit cape, law staff, nature staff, and possibly the anti-poison totem are weak enough that they could easily be reduced in price so that the few players who appreciate their niche appeal can have easier access to them. As for the token system as a whole, the addition of resource dungeons as fixed-level rewards has placated me on that issue. More on that later (or I guess you could go back and read my original blog post about them). After some consideration, I'd actually take the reverse stance on this issue. Keep the stuff untradable, but drop the redundant dungeoneering requirement. Seriously, why do we even need it? If you got the tokens for it, you've clearly done enough dungeoneering to earn it, so the level requirement is pointless. And there's hardly any items where it comes up at all--like, the arcane stream necklace, I guess? Is that it? I guess the Demonhorn necklace and the sneakerpeeper as well. But the vast majority of rewards are impossible to afford until you've already trained past their level requirements, so I honestly can't see the need to single out these three rewards. If people want to pay good tokens for this stuff, just let them. Yeesh. Check. The resource dungeons are an excellent solution to this issue. They feel like natural extensions of the skill and, for the most part, they're balanced fairly well. Some of them are a little underpowered (the Varrock sewer one is pretty crappy, for example), but on the whole, I'm satisfied. Again, my original blog post about them goes into more detail on the specific ones. I stand by this complaint. I really want to see a (t#) tag appended onto the item names. Yes, it's in the examine, but examining everything is really annoying and stupid. I know a lot of people, including myself to some extent, have successfully gotten used to the new items, but that doesn't mean the problem is fixed. This is going to hang over the head of every new player who decides to try out dungeoneering. It's still an unnecessary barrier to entry that could be easily fixed. I still would like to see this. It's not a big issue for fishing spots and runecrafting altars and stuff like that, but some of the spots are still annoying to pick out of the scenery. Woodcutting spots especially. It's not a dealbreaker, but it would make me a lot happier with the skilling situation. After a year, I think I've adjusted my position here. Giving players a flat extra bind every twenty levels is too much. I don't think we need to add extra binds through the level-up system. But I do still think that the "Primal boots are worthless" thing is a real issue. Giving players an extra bind that's restricted to a specific inventory slot such as feet, hands, or head would be an excellent quest reward or token-based reward something, and I'd definitely like to see it. The first has been handily repaired with resource dungeons, which provide tangible bonuses, and strong ones, at as low as level 10, 15, and 20. The second has been fixed as well. Well-done! I can fully retract both of these grievances. I'll retract this one as well--the decreased token costs, increased xp rates, and additional rewards since the skill's original release are good enough incentives for me. They even added a dungeoneering pet. This probably wasn't as big a deal as I thought it was for larger dungeons, but regardless, the Ring of Kinship updates included a skiller ability to increase resource yield, and just last month apparently skilling spots were made more common, so this is definitely not a concern. ZOMG FROST DRAGONS. Also, more reasonably-priced chaotic weapons, Ring of Kinship class bonuses inside the dungeons, and the other resource dungeons. There's still plenty of room for new and better rewards and incentives that I hope to see trickle in over time, but the power level issue is no longer a major concern for me. [hide=Conclusion]So, what's my final grade? We've seen significant improvements to the skill, and I've warmed up to it a lot after a year to get used to it. There's still room for more improvement, but overall, I guess I approve. The verdict:  [/hide] [/hide] Wow, my formatting looks pretty crappy, huh? Sorry about that.

Looks like someone has a bad case of Did Not Do The Research. Livid Farming is very close in xp/hr to avantoe. Any herb higher than avantoe is faster farming xp than Livid Farming. Notably, torstol is roughly triple the xp/hr.
