1-Oct-2011: Behind the Scenes - October
Nomad won the Guaranteed Content Poll by a pretty wide margin, so I can't imagine him getting left out.

Jack of Trades aura
1. Herb run, cleaning herbs (1-4) 2. Pickpocket guard (5) 3. Kill guard on controlled (6-9) 4. Bury bones (10) If you have Lunar Trollheim Teleport, you won't get agility xp from climbing down the mountain, so just stick another skill in there somewhere.

I really want to jump back in.
The actual reason for getting 70 crafting is so you can do The Void Stares Back, which requires 70 crafting. Then, get 76 crafting so you can do Ritual of the Mahjarrat. Basically, you should do quests! They're the point of the game, anyway. Not doing quests would be like playing Sonic the Hedgehog and going "I've been hanging around exploring the first level for a couple hours now. I really want to play the game, but I can't think of anything else to do!"

No Ferocious ring drop?
Also, don't the higher-level monsters drop them more frequently?
-
bane bolt
Also, knives/darts benefit more from the ferocious ring, yes?

First 99.
No. No. No. Going for skillcapes is boring. If you do some introspection, you'll probably discover that as long as you're having fun, you shouldn't care what level you are, right? Right. You are much better off training your skills evenly so that you can do quests, which are more fun, more efficient, and more useful. The cape itself doesn't do anything. I have skillcapes and I never wear them. I don't regret getting 99 in the skills I did, per se, but if I could pull 10m xp off my 99 skills and split them evenly among my other skills, I would. As far as 99s that are actually good, the only really good one is summoning. It's the only skill that offers a real, tangible benefit for the leap from 98-99, i.e. Steel Titans, which are badass. If you must go for a skillcape, that's the one I'd recommend. (It should get you a couple other 99s gathering the charms, anyway.)

Clan Citadel Summoning Boost?
There are two banks in the clan citadel. One at the cape crate by the battlefield, another in the Keep with the head guard.

Help me make my diy rules
"True DIY" is simply doing things yourself. I can DIY mage for three hours, mining all the pess and crafting it into runes, and then go back to buying runes the next day--doesn't mean those three hours weren't "true" DIY'ing or that it was somehow "half-assed". There's no need to put artificial constraints on top of your artificial restraints. :ugeek:

Am I high enough?
You can bring a terrorbird with food and take short trips if you have to. It's pretty close to a bank.
-
Going for it all
Definitely the first one. Getting everything to 99 one at a time is a pretty horrible strategy in general: slower, weaker, and less fun than staying more balanced. You want to be able to do quests, for example.

Help me make my diy rules
No real need to exclude shops. They should be fair game. If you're not trading with other players to earn money, they won't be much of a game breaker anyway. I think team activities like dungeoneering or BA should be fine if you're just teaming with a group of friends. Finding a random pickup group on the theme world should be a no-no, though. There shouldn't be anything wrong with picking up another player's dropped items if you're not using it to circumvent your anti-trading rules. If someone's cleaning out his bank and drops a pile of orange seeds that you think you'll plant, knock yourself out. Don't worry too much about buying tools. It's okay, you don't have to smith your own rune hatchet or kill abyssal demons with a d scimmy until you get a whip drop.

Need a point in the right direction
I wish I had done quests sooner when I started P2P. The xp rewards are a lot more relevant at low levels, and it saves a lot of time training if you do them early.

Really? Celebrity worship? You know people don't actually worship celebrities, right? Making fun of people who think Zezima is God is kind of like making fun of people who think Antarctica is a planet. It's kind of low-hanging fruit, isn't it?

W22 Fishing (Skilling/social clan)
W22 Fishing We're, like, a skilling clan. Originally we were just fishing, but now more than half (73/135 at last count) of the clan is maxed, and a lot of those players have moved on to other things, so most of us don't actually fish that much anymore. That said, we do still like our theme, so we try to keep a fishing motif; this is seen most prominently in our event schedules, where we like to have fishing-related events, and in our ranking system, where we have bonus (cosmetic) ranks to mark clan members who are going for, or have achieved, 99 fishing. We have events. Our events guys (like me!) set them up. They're mostly skilling and minigames. No boss hunting or PKing--we're not that kind of clan. Events usually happen on a weekly basis and often involve fishing--that's the "motif" thing again. :shades: If there's a particular event you'd like to see, we're open to suggestions. We have a citadel. Or as it's colloquially known, The Fishadel. We expect clan members to contribute some resources every week. It's not mandatory, but if you don't, we'll bug you about it, so yeah! Help out! It's fast, you get a clan ring with bonus xp charges for your trouble, and the xp for gathering is not too shabby either. In return for your contributions, you will of course have unlimited access to all the facilities therein, including Party Room, banks, effigy boosts (+10 temporary boosts to summoning and agility for opening effigies, available on the clan battlefield--all clan members can access these), woodcutting/mining/firemaking/smithing skill plots...etc. If you want access to a Citadel, we're looking for more hands! We are P2P-based. Free players are welcome, and we'd enjoy your company in the chat, but all the events and stuff happen in P2P worlds. No requirements to join. Anyone can join--it's okay. The main rule in the chat is that you have to be nice. Please don't be rude, antagonistic, or otherwise disrespectful. We want to keep a friendly atmosphere. Spamming and soliciting are also prohibited because they're annoying. Oh, and you must follow all Jagex rules. If you notice someone being rude or annoying or breaking Jagex rules or whatever, contact an Admin or Deputy Owner rank and they'll deal with the offender. Details on the Fishing ranks I mentioned earlier: - If you're going for 99 fishing, post in our RSOF thread at [qfc]154-155-120-62443528[/qfc] and we'll add you to our pre-alumni list. Actively going for 99 fishing while on the pre-alumni list qualifies you for a double-stripe rank. Once you hit the 92 fishing milestone, that gets upgraded to a triple-stripe rank. - If you already have 99 fishing, you're eligible for a bronze star rank. To claim it, bring your fishing cape to a clan event after being a member of the clan for at least a week and ask one of the Admin+ ranks at the event to upgrade you to a bronze star. Any questions?

80-95 Prayer
As far as "Things to spend your money on", 95 prayer is one of the best.

So what you're saying is, players shouldn't be able to trade at all?

Castle Wars
What I do sometimes is just flip a coin to pick a team, and that way I have an easy 50% win rate average. Then try and watch the good players on both teams to learn by imitation.

Magic Accuracy Nerf
You've been fooled by a hoax. No such nerf has occurred.

FM 86-92
Yeah, it's slower than curlies, but it's okay. You can join our clan if you don't have one.

that dont work when u got the npc with u does it? lol since hes the one that teles u to the place and leaves you if u leave temple If the door's locked from that side, though, it should let you change it back without doing the whole puzzle over.

Try going in the back way through the Underground Pass, or taking a death tab from GOP. Or the Abyss.

Cooldowns apply to individual auras, not to auras in general. So I don't see why not.

Retaliates "correctly"? You mean, you don't have to whack him 100 times now during the battle? Do you still have to left-click to attack him? This may be a fix for a bug that I encountered where Arrav retaliates against your familiar, but then keeps attacking it even after he's supposed to be attacking Zemouregal, making the fight unwinnable. Had to restart that portion of the fight a couple times until I eventually ended up dismissing my familiar.

Best barrows?
Korasi's Sword spec with spec restore pots is also good on Akrisae, as it counts as magic damage. Requires completion of Void Stares Back.
