To start or not to start....again...
You can progress better. Playing fewer hours a week means you can spend a greater portion of your time doing time-limited activities like Miscellania, herb farming, and the circus that give better rewards than normal training. If you do that, you'll actually be more efficient than a no-lifer because you can avoid those diminishing returns.

24-Nov-2010 Herblore Habitat
Depends how easy the potions are to obtain. They're untradable, after all.

Can someone briefly explain all new iteams?
Dungeoneering rewards ^ Browse through there a bit and come back if you have any more specific questions for us.

What happened to everyone?
You mean that you were content with it, right? Lots of people worked within the system, but if you were one of them, you probably wouldn't have interacted much with the people who intentionally avoided it, and in strictly business transactions, you may not have picked up on those who only resentfully accepted it as a necessary evil. To me, trying to trade was the crappy bookkeeping of Runescape, the virtual equivalent of shuffling all the decks before you can actually play cards--an obstacle that stands between the player and the fun. And I for one am a big fan of changing things for the better.

how do you make 1m+ per hour? ..
How do I, personally, do it? Implings in Puro Puro. I haven't bothered to do any rigorous testing to prove that it's 1m/hr, and it's not terribly consistent (although probably more consistent than you might expect), but the fudgy numbers I got were close enough that it feels like 1m/hr, give or take, which is good enough for me. Herb farming is a nice guaranteed 2m-ish gp/hr average as well, and I think poison ivy and papayas with an ent break the 1m mark too. Edit: Oh, and lalala up there is presumably talking about making unf pots with a scroll of cleansing, which is another good one.

What happened to everyone?
Damn, I was just about to call you out for your nostalgia goggles, but then you beat me to it yourself! Anyway, yeah, it's pretty much all in your head. Hear, hear. In the words of the inimitable Bart Simpson: People who go to W117 for effigies are getting a taste for just how much this sort of transaction takes it on the tonsils. At least with effigies, you can filter out the chaff and just click on the pink text to transact business. P2P trading never quite had it this good. Yes. +1. Pre-GE trading was crap.

Spot stealing wrong?
How do you figure?

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Yeah, lobsters are quite bad.

200M in all Skills
The other top agilitizers should totally change their names to Jebrim.

Spot stealing wrong?
This. And this thread is exactly the same as the other one, by the way.

Why can't you do large solo dungeons?
Pretty sure it's for technical reasons. Server load, memory, I don't know, something like that.

90-99 Fishing
Heavy rod fishing is the most efficient. If you want to make the most of your time and money, do that. If you don't want to do that, do rocktails.

Tip.It Times - 21st November 2010
Re the second article, there's not much for me to say except "Cool story, bro." It's a lot of words and sentences without saying anything meaningful. The game is different now than it was some months ago, so what? What's your point? Why am I even reading this?

A historical moment is drawing near
The short answer is no.

Noobs say the funniest things!
What's godly about altering things? Using Turmoil to train. *Ahem* Altering, not altaring What the hell did you think it meant? Simple mix up with homophones happens all the time. It's quite obvious he meant altar, not alter. I was ribbing him because he was making fun of the noob in the screenshot for writing "god" instead of "good," see, so it's supposed to be like ironic or something that he misspelled "altar."

skeletal wyverns
Off topic, but there's absolutely no excuse to be using dragon chain and legs. Get barrows, please. It's so much better and repair costs are so small as to not exist. <70 defense would be a reason. /offtopic

Which quest unlocks Scabarite minions as a task?
I was under the impression that Contact! unlocks them.

Exclusive Content
I'm going to take issue with this one. Herblore is a perfect example of a skill with great high-level content, but a dearth of low-level content. Beginner-level herblore today is practically the same as it was in RSC. There's nothing in the skill to get beginners started, creating a significant barrier to entry. As a result, new members just don't train herblore. The skill is seriously lacking in introductory content; it needs something to convince new players that they should be training it in the first place. This is a big problem for farming and some other skills as well. This is part of what I was talking about when I said there has to be content for all levels. Herblore has quest requirements up to the 60s I believe (what was WGS again?). It could maybe use a couple more quests pushing herblore requirements up into the low 80s, but it's decent as it is now. People who train it are heavily rewarded, which is a lot more than you can say for most skills. You're underestimating the difference between level 5 and level 60 herblore. Level 60 means you're already significantly invested in the skill.

Double astral runes
The familiar is for refilling your inventory slot after you eat the stew and break the tab. You need all 28 slots.

Brimhaven Spirit Tree???
It is if you take fairy rings, although all we are talking about are seconds. Well, not if you're checking the bush patch (which is 1k farming xp + 4k gp with a very low opportunity cost, plus you don't need to bring a pickaxe).
