MTK coffers
You're half right. IIRC let's imagine that your workers mine 50.5 coal a day. If you check after 1 day, This will be rounded down to 50 coal, however if you check after 2, it'll be 101 coal. That's exactly how it works. All numbers are truncated when collected, so longer time periods allow those decimals that would normally be ignored to become a resource you would receive. There is a difference, but it is slight. It adds up reasonably significantly with maples since you get X.9 nests.

Because a well-coordinated team benefits from specialization. 2H might be the best overall, but it's not the best at everything. Only one person needs to use a stabbing weapon in order for the whole team to reap the benefits of faster kills against monsters weak to stab.

Another "How to make money" thread
Finding the max profit you could be making isn't always obvious, but it's not too hard to come up with marginal improvements. Just off the top of my head, you could easily double your current profit by making house tabs for 580k gp/hr, B2P tabs for 550k gp/hr, Ardougne tabs for 348k gp/hr, Camelot tabs for 380k gp/hr, charging air orbs for 317k gp/hr, or earth orbs for 400k gp/hr, and that's with magic alone, and off the top of my head. So right there you can probably immediately mark your gp/hr up a couple notches.

Piety!
It depends on your income. If you can only gather 300k gp/hr worth of snape grass, but you could make 1m gp/hr killing dragons, then you're losing 700k gp/hr in opportunity cost. So gathering secondary ingredients can make herblore cheaper, but only if it's faster profit than the fastest moneymaker you could be doing in its place.

Fastest fishing exp?
Monkfish are more efficient than heavy rod fishing if you value your time at less than about 300-400k gp/hr, but that also assumes that the agility and strength xp have no value, so the actual number is lower. In any case, you'd have to be very poor in order for monkfish to be worthwhile.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
You do know that a Chaotic Rapier has a slash style, right? He's tellin' the truth! He's not trolling, I promise. Yes I know, and if you get 6-manned on a clue by revs, you won't have the rapier to get back there. Rapier protects over virtually nothing. :( Whatever, just go back to your grave and pick it up again, right?

Didn't I already explain why low-level content is important to the game? Or did everyone just ignore me?

No, that's medium-level at the lowest. If that's medium level (which is a reasonable categorization, sure), then low level updates never, ever need to happen. Leveling is so quick before that point, and there's so much existing content catering to that level group already, that anyone would be mid level by the time they finish it all. Mid level has a ton of content too, high level is the only level group that legitimately has very few things to do. The purpose of really low-level content is to get new players interested in the game. Runescape needs to continually attract new players in order to stay alive in the long-term. Good low-level catches the interest of those newbies and entices them to stick with Runescape. It's something that probably isn't important to you as a player, but is very important to Jagex as custodians of the game. You only get to make one first impression, and first impressions are a big deal when it comes to acquiring new customers. So if the current content isn't making the best first impression that it could, then yeah, an update is definitely warranted. The sling is a great example here. When you were a new player, when did you start training ranged? It deals less damage than melee and requires gear and ammunition that are annoying to obtain, so most players (rightfully) don't even touch the skill for a long time--why bother? Magic has similar problems. The Blood Pact quest changed that paradigm by introducing those players to all three combat styles and giving them a healthy supply of ammunition to start off, and now with slings and wind rush, hopefully things will feel a lot more balanced for new players in the future. There's still some work to do, but it's a lot better than it was. The changes to Restless Ghost and the other quests are similarly geared towards improving that vital first impression. If the quests you do as a low-level player are all crap, why would you bother to keep questing? But high-quality quests early on can help build interest in the story that carries on through the rest of the player's Runescape career.

A quest for which a combat level of 100+ is recommended was the best example of a recent low level update you could find? The void quests require both a low combat level and low non-combat stats. It's a low-level update. No, that's medium-level at the lowest.

If teaming gave the same xp as soloing, nobody would bother teaming. Everyone would just solo. There has to be a trade-off between the two in order for the content to function as intended. You can still solo. Nothing is stopping you.

It's worth noting that she only uses the fire if you protect against magic...for what it's worth.

Ask a Zombie
Happy Halloween, everyone! To celebrate this spooky holiday, I pulled a zombie out of the Wilderness to respond to some of your questions about Runescape. I hope you find his answers helpful! where is the best place to train firemaking?
The variable is that you can't light a fire inside most banks, so you want a place where you can bank outdoors and minimize running. Oo'glog is pretty good in that respect...it has a few lines and you can light fires in the same square that you bank from. GE is good too, as is the Rogue's Den.

That attitude is exactly what's wrong with the RS community in general these days. Everyone is so busy looking out for themselves that any sense of teamwork or camaraderie is lost, and that's why DG teams generally suck. Back in the days of RSC, it was common practice for higher lvl players to stop and lend a hand to struggling newbies. It was called being courteous and made for a more pleasant community and playing experience on the whole. I miss those days, tbh. Now, ppl play so cut-throat that it's a wonder newbies stick around for more than a month or two before moving on to more newb-friendly games. The eventual death of RS will stem from this prevalent "Me first!" attitude, I guarantee it. I'll get off my soapbox and get to the reason I came to this thread: The "Did you know..." is completely useless if you're looking to actually do anything on Lunar Isle. I just tried it, and yes, I got to the island, but as soon as I tried to interact with any of the residents, I got kicked back to Rellekka. So it's best to just bring your Seal; there's really nothing worth doing on the island that you don't need the local bank for, and trying to use the bank without a Seal is rather pointless and inefficient. You can bank with Bird's Eye Jack without the need for a Seal of Passage.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
So it's okay for low-levels to crash high-levels, but not for high-levels to crash low-levels? I've said this at least three or four times already, but boss rooms are public areas. If I'm killing the KBD and you walk in to do the same, you have just as much right to be there as I do, and I will respect that right and expect you to do the same for me. It doesn't matter who was there first. We're both here now, and either one of us has the right to choose whether or not to hop worlds. I will respect that right as well and expect you to do the same for me. If you don't want to hop, and I don't want to hop, then I guess we're fighting for that KBD spawn, and it's your decision as much as mine.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
Making others happy should make you happy though. Being nice is a reward in itself. It is not costing you, it is gaining you. In turn, in an ideal world, it would lead to them doing the same. It is all about setting an example for others to follow. The world cannot change in an instant, it takes work to get something done. However, when things do get done, it is it's own reward. It is all about setting an example for others. To people who say morals and ethics and the like do not belong in this game, you could not be more wrong. Runescape being an MMO means that it is a community oriented game. Communities where everybody does what they want and doesn't help others will eventually implode and stagnate as nobody will want to join it. I can truly see that happening to runescape. This is all in an ideal world, but I would much rather talk of an ideal world to aim for than a crap world we currently inhabit. You're right. I'm a terrible person with no morals. I have been blind. I always thought that the fun part of the game was playing the game and doing the activities I like to do. Now I realize that even though I thought I was having fun, I actually wasn't, because fun can only come from doing everything anyone else asks me to do no matter how stupid it is. From now on I will do nothing but stand around in F2P Lumbridge giving 10k to noobs because that is the most fun thing in the game.

An Elitist's View on Crashing
ideally yes. but the only realistic solutions to this issue, which we have already discussed, involve changing game mechanics, and jagex is highly unlikely to do so or care. Your mother never taught you "sharing"? she did. then my dad taught me to think as well. OT: to expect everyone to share is just unrealistic in this situation. why don't we all share houses, for example? I see -- and your father taught you what, exactly? How to claw away at other children in order that you can attain the top of the crap heap? Food, shelter, clothing -- these are the essentials of life. They can all be shared, and often are, given certain circumstances within the social environment. Really -- are you comparing a compilation of pixels with the essentials of life? Do these pixels REALLY mean that much to you? If so -- I think you REALLY need to re-consider your values. No. Really. We're not here to say that sharing is bad. There's no need to respond as if your moral values are under attack.
