All quests. When in doubt, do more quests. And I'd avoid using guides...much more fun without 'em. Use QuestHelp hints if you have to.

Brimhaven Spirit Tree???
pretty sure he was responding to the argument of "I personally have my tree in Port Sarim. It's there not because I need access to it from the tree network, but so I can access the tree network from there"his point was why grow it at port when you have the GE tree to "access the tree network"i think that is a better and more thoughtful reading of this thread than you gave it. IMHO. Exactly. Thanks. But I expressly said that while I may not have stuff to get to MA, which includes runes and such, I always have my lummy ring. Going to the GE means I have to have a law, fire, and 3 airs. If I want to do a quick bank and I'm stuck without runes, charged, glory, or other teleport means, I have the tree + lummy ring. Why don't you use a ring of duelling instead of a explorer's ring? Then you'll always have a ring of duelling, which is way better than always having an explorer's ring.

Quick Question.
Because the purpose of a skillcape is to look cool, and the untrimmed skillcape arguably looks cooler. I remember hearing something about telegrabbing it from under your gravestone in a F2P world or something? Uh...not sure.

On the contrary I know that the people who do these articles are not professional authors but do this type of thing because they love what they do. My point was that some are judging them as if they were. And there's nothing wrong with that. After all, from the reader's perspective, there's no difference. We just see published articles with a lower standard of quality than the other websites we look at. Why should we adopt a double standard?

A good summation of why all levels need good content.- Exclusive Content
I would agree if the game already had an even spread of content, but the fact that the game is severely weighted toward low level content at the moment (see: all quests, most bosses, most actual helpful skill rewards, all minigames), I think the argument could be made that low and mid levels could stand some breathing room to get through with the stuff they've already got while Jagex focuses on fleshing out the top 60% or so of the game, experience-to-99-wise. There's room for debate on the exact weighting they should get, but I think my main points still stand regardless. *shrug*- Exclusive Content
Eh, just a few things I really have to say on this subject: 1. Things are not inherently good or bad based on the levels required to do them. 2. The game needs content for players of all levels. 3. Not every update needs to appeal to all players. 'Course this applies equally to high- and low-level updates.- Bone Choice
There's no simple way to work Miscellania into the math. I'd just fudge the income a bit to compensate.- Bone Choice
RS Wiki has a calculator that does the efficiency calculations for you: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Efficiency#Finding_a_value_of_time_at_which_two_methods_are_equally_efficient Just plug in xp/hr and either gp/hr or gp/xp.- 3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Uh...no...I said it has no inherent gameplay value and that its value comes from its scarcity rather than its utility. And those are just facts...I don't think anyone would reasonably dispute them.- 3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Party hats have no inherent gameplay value. Spirit Shields actually have a use. I would absolutely swap a phat for a divine, as amassing pointless wealth is, frankly, boring, and when that's all that's left to do in a game, I usually just quit playing. Do all your posts have to look like it was written from an amateur who just started rs from a short term break? Seriously. It's obvious you don't own a partyhat, or never felt having one before for that matter so your definition of "frankly" "boring" is just as obtuse as your head is. Fun games are fun when they're fun. Eventually you get to a point where more money and xp aren't noticeably enhancing your fun, and there's no shame in declining to pursue them past that point. After all, how much money do you need? You don't get a prize for being the richest player, so if you're not deriving some personal satisfaction from your wealth and none of your goals involve collecting rares, it's perfectly reasonable to spend it, no? Zelda Spirit Tracks was a fun game, but that doesn't mean I'm going to waste my time grinding minigames to try and find all the train parts after I've already beaten the final boss. I mean, we all know that partyhats are baubles whose value comes from their scarcity rather than their utility. They don't add anything to the actual gameplay, their only purpose is storing and showing off wealth, blah blah blah. They do evoke certain emotions of awe or whatnot in lots of people, and for those people, the partyhat might be worth the price. But those feelings are far from universal, and I'm sure you know that, so there's no need to talk down to me like I'm some poor crazy idiot who just doesn't understand how partyhats are super-special-awesome serious business.- Money making
You should definitely be farming herbs. And make sure to collect broad bolt tips daily and keep Miscellania running--those are pretty easy cash.- 3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion

dg might become the new cooking for new maxed players people will max then get 200m dgneering me and my friend were talking and decided the exp isnt that important after 120 as levels dont matter but what if u still want to dgneer forfun the skilll is same speed or higher than cooking.... basically getting 120 takes u over halfway to 200m exp....and if uve been dging with friends that whole time would be bad to just stop dging also dg doesnt feel like skilling to me... if noone went for 200m dg then that would mean people only do f60 for 3-4 days....and never get to enjoy 4 binds... also once u get used to dging....its hard to leave! This. Dg is one of the only things I want to do in RS right now. I think that really speaks to the strong design of the skill. There's a few kinks left to sort out, but I feel pretty proud on behalf of the developers to hear this kind of reaction. :^_^:- is there going to be another xo weekend?
They considered the previous two to be successful, so it's safe to say that they will repeat the event at some point.- 120 constitution
It's HP, so you need to get 200m xp in other skills to get to 104m HP.- 120 constitution
1. You're right. Encouraging people to level up in an RPG is ridiculous. It's not like that's the foundation of everything currently in the game. 2. Not really. HP cap has relatively little to do with difficulty of a fight unless you're talking bosses that are going to be KOing people often, in which case we already have solutions to that (for example, Nomad has an attack that will always take off all but a tiny chunk of your LP, regardless of your HP level). And if we get alternatives like HP-boosting armor and potions that can compensate for a low HP level, well, there you go. 3. What am I trying to accomplish with the raised hp cap? An outlet for the deluge of extra exp that floods in from every angle every time you try to do anything. I want to make money? I'm getting extra hp exp. I want to go boss hunting? More exp. Champion scrolls? Tons of exp. Maxing slayer and summoning and dungeoneering? SO MUCH exp. I think you might be the one missing the point. Which is not exactly surprising given the fact that you're only 87 hp. 1. Are you suggesting that the game doesn't already encourage people to level up? Look, we're not just talking about maxing out. We're talking about training to 200m XP. Why do you want to encourage people to do that? 2. Uh...what? Of course it does. 3. You imagine it as a reward for people who already have it. In reality, it is also an incentive for people who don't already have it. Those sorts of incentives are unhealthy for the game.- 120 constitution
1. Missing the point. The point is not will people do this, it's should people be encouraged to do this. No they shouldn't. 2. 120 HP is something the developers would have to keep in mind every time they make new boss monsters. Forever. It will become impossible to design challenging fights for maxed players without making them ridiculously difficult for non-maxed players. You don't see this because you're not the one who has to wrestle with designing and balancing the fights; you just fight them. But it makes it much harder for the developers to design good content. 3. Missing the point again. The point was that those things eliminate any need to raise the level cap for HP. What are you trying to accomplish by raising the HP cap? Well, HP-boosting gear has already accomplished all of it, so there's no point raising the HP cap.- Tip.It Times - 14th November 2010 (Writing Contest Winners)
@Jonanananas article: The CM team is the one putting on the community events. They're not really equipped to tackle most of the communication that players are looking for (most of our questions would be for the dev team). For a while (towards the end of last year) Community Management did handle direct communication with weekly Q&A sessions. They did nine of them, and they didn't have a whole lot of interesting answers.- How long does AOD Gravestone last?
All blessed gravestones, regardless of the model, last up to an hour depending on how many prayer points were used to bless. The Angel of Death gravestone lasts 6 minutes on its own. - Exclusive Content
