  1. No. It doesn't, it isn't. Sorry, but I can only conclude that you don't understand what those words mean. This scenario is more or less the opposite of logical and rational: a knee-jerk emotional reaction with no basis in logic, reason, or fact.
  2. Normal, sure. Understandable, fine. Rational, no. Reasonable basis for a sound logical argument, absolutely not. Ok. I made that "HEY HEY HEY" comment since, if I'm an idiot,I may as well talk like one. 2) Let's go back to this story. You're in your house. Mexicans* come in. a [cabbage] load of them. They kill your family, enslave you and all your friends, in their pinto bean* cleaning tequila* making slave factory. (Since according to Magekillr I'm a racist, I may as well make racial stereotypes.) After 15 years of hell, you escape. And you're saying you would still trust Mexicans? I call bull [cabbage]. It's survival of the fittest, and you, would not last. Would you be a good person? Yep. You would be a good person. And inevitably you would be dead, because you'd run across the Mexican slave owner. Bam. *Insert any race, and any two racial stereotypes above. Are we talking about an extreme case? of course. Does this happen to everyday people/and or can this be used as an excuse for everyday people? Absolutely not. *Side note I'm deciding to put in here: I said we were going off topic because I'm not discussing 9\11, I'm really just discussing Bigotry in general.* Now to insert 9\11. These things don't happen every day. 9\11 was a horrid event, and many many people there are scarred. I would personally know.* So should they judge Muslims? I cannot answer that, since I have not been through it. I personally don't think I would, but I can't know that. * A few places I answer for at my job, are mental clinics in NYC. And a lot of the patients (no bs, I can't disclose the exact effects due to HIPPA laws) have a lot of mental disorders due to it. And I'll say again, that still doesn't make it logical or rational. It's a misdirected emotional reaction to a memory of a tenuously associated event. It's not even anything close to approaching a reasonable basis for a sound logical argument.
  3. Right. I have another beef with fishing. Uh...I guess it may be a bit more superficial than the last one, but, well...anyway... You know how if you have high enough agility, you have a chance of harpooning double fish? How the hell does that work? Look, here's what you're doing: Stabbing at the water, right? So...like...um...huh? "Hey, looks like I stabbed through two sharks instead of one! Sweet!" :-o I find that implausible and yet...really cool. But it gets worse. See, what if what you're doing is this: Now how does it work? "Whew, I finally wrestled that shark out of the water! What a workout! Hey, wait a minute, what's that? Holy [cabbage]! There was another shark, inside my shark! Wow! No wonder it put up such a fight!" Or is it more like, "Hey guys, check out this piece of awesome: I'm so badass, I can wrestle...GRAAAH! Two sharks out of the water, one with each arm! Booyah! I am the noodling champion!" :-w Actually, now that I think about it, my character is hella badass. :ohnoes:
  4. The free flax is worthless. Seers' Diary is for Enhanced Excalibur.
  5. My thought would be to give it a sort of "Wind" kind of animation as a metaphor for fastness. But we digress.
  6. Okay, ha, that would be really cool. Why would the agility cape be rocks, though? I don't get that one.
  7. You mean, you don't. Case in point ^
  8. Normal, sure. Understandable, fine. Rational, no. Reasonable basis for a sound logical argument, absolutely not.
  9. It's a hypothetical situation we created. We do know what happened. The hypothetical neighborhood refuses to accept (legally or emotionally, whatever) a black family that moves in because they're not comfortable with blacks. I would absolutely judge that sentiment to be based in racial prejudice. Sorry for the confusion, I agree with you in that they are using racial prejudice. But what I am arguing is while it's not acceptable, it's a part of human nature. And sometimes we just need to deal with it. And this is like, mad off topic. 1. You're saying it's not acceptable, and then you're turning right around and saying "it's a part of human nature and sometimes we just need to deal with it." i.e. accepting it. But I'm guessing you probably misspoke in there somewhere anyway so I'll assume that's not a good explanation of what you really think and I won't pursue it. 2. Replace "black" with "Muslim" zomg it was an analogy all along wow. <_<

  11. Right, which brings us back to the bigotry issue again. is it bigotry? If the black people came into your apartment complex, slaughtered your women, and kidnapped your children? Would you still consider it bigotry? (Assuming you're talking about the same scenario I am) You are rejecting one black person merely because another person of the same skin color committed a crime against you. Yes, that is bigotry. Acknowledging the fact that Everyone's A Little Bit Racist doesn't make racism a valid premise for a reasonable argument.
  12. Right, which brings us back to the bigotry issue again.
  13. Does it give us the right to force them to accept a black person into their neighborhood though, regardless of what they may do to him/her? Yes, there are federal laws against discrimination on the basis of race.
  14. I think it's inevitable, personally.

You don't need tassets. Sell them, get Verac's skirt, and use the difference to get 70 prayer.
  16. Nah, because a Zammy Spear is better for miths and the KQ, well, I don't know, but the KQ isn't going to be efficient no matter how you kill her, so meh.
  17. And what do these "non noob" players do... Defining "n00b" is not a can of worms I'm particularly interested in opening today. Let's just say they're generally not n00bs.
  18. 120 capes would be even worse to give extra abilities to, because then people would feel obligated to "go for" them, and that's an unhealthy paradigm for Jagex to support. That's what I think about 99 capes, but I think giving abilities to 120 capes would be okay due to the sheer time and effort it takes to get them. I don't think many people will look at 104M exp and think, "yeah, that's worth this or that ability." As long as the abilities in question aren't so good that they'd give a significant advantage to anyone who had them, I don't think the general RS population would bother unless it's something that they would've done anyway. I'm thinking the difference between the hard and elite Ardougne diaries. The advantage of completing the elite diary is so small that not many people feel that it's absolutely necessary to do it. It's convenient to do so, yes, but not necessary. See what I mean? Sure, there's a potential payoff if it's done right (as the Ardougne elite cape was), but there's also a significant potential downside if it turns out wrong. And since the current system is perfectly fine, there's no real reason to tread that line. Better to focus on the content for the skill itself.
  19. "Shown themselves to be friendly"? There's thousands of players like that. You play under the impression that most players out there are immature, because the minorities are always the loudest groups. "Have been invited by Jagex to be ambassadors"? More like, picked and chosen. "Organise and attend events"? Might as well recruit anyone who posts a thread in the events sections of any community forums. You got the whole TET team here on Tip It you could recruit if things were like this. "Really make a difference to my daily gaming experience"? Don't get me started. When was the last time a player moderator had any impact on you? Only those who get muted by them get to experience that lol... And why does Jagex assume we'd be afraid of player moderators? I don't see why I'd be intimidated by them, if they were to abuse of their power on people they'd be the ones losing the most in the end. Also, why do they assume I'd want to say hello? Because it's more important to talk with them than with other players? It all comes down to opinion, really. I don't wanna convince anyone here about what a player moderator is, but to my experience this just some idea Jagex came up with that in the end only creates more elitism in game. All reasonable observations, sure, I guess. There is a large pool of players who would make good Pmods, but they can't all be mods because Jagex doesn't have enough staff with enough time to thoroughly investigate them all, and with a position of increased power and responsibility, it's better safe than sorry. So for practical concerns, it should be acceptable that many suitable players fall through the cracks. It's also worth considering that, although they don't talk as much about it, Pmods are also a huge convenience from the Jmods' perspective. It's a group of players that they can rely on to be reasonable, intelligent, and generally not n00bs. I know that if I couldn't log on without being immediately followed by a bajillion players spamming me to bring back wildy pl0x, I'd definitely appreciate having a hand-picked selection of players that I know I can trust not to be n00bs--hence the Pmod's role as a kind of liaison between Jagex and the base by being the part of the base they'll reliably want to liaison with; even though the system doesn't capture all the players it could, from their perspective, it's a lot better than nothing. That's my take on it anyway.
  20. No, he wasn't teleblocked in the example.
  21. Doesn't Vegeta have black hair? This is Vegeta, right? First thing that came up on Google Images.
  22. 120 capes would be even worse to give extra abilities to, because then people would feel obligated to "go for" them, and that's an unhealthy paradigm for Jagex to support.
  23. 1. You haven't "shown" anything. Just random ass-pull guesses, suspicions, and stereotypes. There's nothing to regard. No offense. 2. You have the right to express your views. Nobody is challenging that right. But defending your right to hold those views does not require defending the beliefs themselves. Your argument is based on premises that I refuse to accept. But you have the right to be wrong (within the terms of service of the Tip.It forums of course).
  24. Sure, I'd love to "shut up" because I don't agree with you. I hope you also "shut up" when someone who disagrees with you tells you to do so. I'm further glad to see you're defending whichever parts of the constitution are most convenient, and disregarding those that aren't(freedom of speech, anyone?). 1. When I know I'm wrong, I will, and on many occasions, I have. 2. You are entitled to your freedom of speech. That's why I said "please." :ugeek: If they're within the law and not hurting anyone, then they have the right to do what they want and pray at whichever community center they choose. We may abhor their views, but that's all the more reason why their rights need to be protected.
  25. I think you're confused by the use of "champion" here. cham·pi·on    /ˈtʃæmpiən/ [cham-pee-uhn] –noun 1. a person who has defeated all opponents in a competition or series of competitions, so as to hold first place: the heavyweight boxing champion. 2. anything that takes first place in competition: the champion of a cattle show. 3. an animal that has won a certain number of points in officially recognized shows: This dog is a champion. 4. a person who fights for or defends any person or cause: a champion of the oppressed. 5. a fighter or warrior. It's not saying Pmods are the best.
