  1. Thanks for proving again why Runescape is a bad game. No skill involved. Simply clicking, knowledge, and efficiency. It's a glorified spreadsheet. Keep it coming kids! You're "arguments" amuse me. Clicking and knowledge? Isn't that what most games are? :-s I mean, compare with something like a RTS game. It's just clicking, knowledge, and resource management (which is basically efficiency), right? Look, don't get me wrong, I'm not one to argue that RS is a skill-intensive game, because tbh it really isn't. But it's not because all you do is click. It has more to do with the grind-based structure of the game, not the mechanics and the interface. You can have a turn-based strategy game that's deep, complex, and very skill-intensive, and it would still consist of the characteristics you're deriding.
  2. Im not in need of money, I do Arma or Tds for that. I just wanna do something thats a little more beneficial then just getting levels. ie wc at ivys The main advantage to the fishing level is quests and achievement diaries, so does that count? It's awkward to try and make a profit with fishing since it's such a terrible money skill. It's like, you can make a profit training crafting with bowstrings, but it's kind of a waste of time. Sort of like that, only less obviously bad. It gets a little better with rocktails, I guess. That said, monkfish are certainly a different style of fishing, and if you prefer the more laid-back experience as many do, it's definitely a defensible option. Nobody is forcing you to be efficient. It's just good to know.
  3. Five years? Yeah, I'll take you up on that. My 2m to your 500k says that in 5 years, the skill cap will not have been raised to 120 for all skills. That's all you're gonna stake? Show some conviction! :notalk:
  4. Fly fishing is more efficient than monkfish if you value your time at more than about 500k gp/hr.
  5. SS is barely better than ZS at waterfiends--you can hardly tell the difference at all. ZS is good at waterfiends, plus it's better than a whip at dragons with super antifires. Also, SS on crush trains strength, which you have 99 in already; ZS on crush is controlled.
  6. Palms, calquats, magic trees, torstols, and poison ivy. Also this.
  7. Iron plates seem okay. Steel would work too. You could also superheat and get some cheap magic xp.
  8. For Magic, use an Extreme Magic Potion and you don't need to train at all. And you can use a Fletching potion to do that task at 82.
  9. Badass. Your fury is slightly invisible, I think.
  10. My impression from when I tried it: WoW is much more focused on combat than Runescape. Their combat system is leagues ahead of RS--better PvP, better PvM, better clan support. Everything else is the same or worse, especially the quests, which are super-lame. Secondary skills are one-dimensional and shallow. Travel is slower. Faster training is mostly canceled out by the need to have multiple characters. And it costs more money to subscribe.
  11. Apparently nobody noticed, but Ardougne Cloak got upgraded as well. [hide=Ardougne Cloak 4 Rewards]When worn: Unlimited teleports to the Farming patch north of Ardougne Operate cloak to restore all of your Summoning points once per day Replaces junk from the Fishing Trawler with more useful items Small chance of making two rune crossbow limbs at a time when smithing one in Yanille At all times: Bert will deliver 120 buckets of sand to your bank per day Also: Experience lamp - 4 x 50,000 experience in the skill of your choice over level 85[/hide] The new rewards are pretty crappy though.
  12. Waterfiends....yea, that's all I got. Waterfiends are a legitimate example. Maybe lessers is you solo K'ril? Or maybe not. :XD:
  13. What items are best to bind for solo dungeons? C1? C6? Medium? How about duo mediums? Currently I have a spear and haven't decided what to bind next. Do I even need armor if I can soul split?
  14. What's up with the random Bandos upgrades? Also, getting a 99 is much less helpful to your account than getting, for example, two 92s. Those last few levels are usually superfluous. And 99 cooking is only really helpful for the Varrock Elite Diary.
  15. This seems like a perfectly sensible explanation to me. I think we saw a similar phenomenon on the previous BXPW.
  16. Can't agree with you here. Flaming swords are way too cool, sorry. I don't agree with using the Blast Fusion Hammer since that already has a well-defined, specific purpose. You mean like fire robes shield you from fire? I guess. *shrug*
  17. They're similar to monkfish in speed and profit. Take from that what you will.
  18. Troacctid replied to compfreak847's topic in Rants
Yeah exactly, you'll notice that nobody is arguing about it anymore. #-o I don't see the point bumping a thread when all 41 pages of it are completely irrelevant to the present state of the slayer skill. It's like necroing a two-year-old thread about how herblore is useless to post "Nuh-uh, overloads are awesome!"
  19. Right, that too.
  20. Their store doesn't really have anything good tbh.
  21. I don't farm that often. When I do, it's only for a week or so and only ranarrs/avantoe/toadflax which almost never die for me (seriously like 1/20 average). I would place a higher priority on herbicide/bonecrusher for that reason. They don't need to die to get the seed back. That's why scroll of life is so amazing. Sure. Going faster probably makes it easier as well, though. *shrug*
  22. Why are you binding a flameburst defender, that's the question.
