  1. Consider the portion of the audience that most enjoys questing. ...Uh, I forgot what else I was going to say.
  2. But, again, the efficient playstyle is all about doing less grinding, not more. It's about the minimum amount of grinding required to achieve your goal.
  3. Does this mean ZGS is the most useful godsword now? Its niche uses haven't decayed in value at all--in fact, with spec restores, it's even better than it used to be.
  4. Pretty much the whole point of efficiency is to do as little grinding as possible. :ugeek:
  5. I will accept a quest with a 97 fishing requirement when there is already a quest with a 95 fishing requirement.
  6. Except you didn't say that. You said: Explain how this is calling out "both sides" for name-calling? <_<
  7. Those are just as much for the benefit of players who aren't doing the quest. They communicate the function of the NPC to players unfamiliar with the quest.
  8. I guess they play a part in that they're invalid strawman arguments, sure. Think about this for a minute. Now take out "extremely efficient" and replace it with any adjective. However the thing that IS wrong is when these older players start to call people noobs. However the thing that IS wrong is when these younger players start to call people noobs. However the thing that IS wrong is when these high-level players start to call people noobs. However the thing that IS wrong is when these casual players start to call people noobs. Notice how the meaning doesn't change? Treating people rudely is wrong whether you're efficient or not. By singling out efficient players for rudeness, you're saying that as a group, efficient players are more rude than non-efficient players, and quite frankly I find that offensive. And no, it doesn't help that you said later on that inefficient players can be rude too. That's like saying "I don't want to sound racist, but there's way too many Mexicans in this neighborhood." If you don't want to suggest that it's just the "pro-efficiency players" who are rude, don't suggest it. :shame:
  9. Yeah, it's that second one. The one in parenthesis. Trust me on this one. Just ignore him.
  10. Yeah, not surprising, seeing as he's a known troll. :ugeek:
  11. Don't be knockin' Bouncedown. That game is sick.
  12. Some content, yes. I don't see how diversity is a problem. There are plenty of quests with low requirements (read: all of them), so why not have a few quests for the most elite of players? Well, that's their plan, and they've said as much. But they're working up to it. It would be a little jarring for the highest quest requirement to suddenly jump from 80-ish to 90+, and not very fair to players who are trying to follow the storyline.
  13. You should bring a fire staff and nats with you when you mine and superheat the iron in between swings of your pickaxe.
  14. Grandmaster quests have always been in the 70-80 range. Quests with 85+ reqs are "Elite", not "Grandmaster".
  15. Kuradal's task list is pretty good all around, so her "worst" tasks tend not to be blatantly terrible, unlike lower-level slayer masters who can assign crap like zygomites or fever spiders.
  16. Also useful for knocking people around in Castle Wars with its special attack.
  17. It's possible. Monster difficulty scales based on a number of factors, including the type of dungeon and the levels of the players on your team. If you selected more difficult settings for your floor, or if you leveled up combat since you last dungeoneered, you could certainly end up with stronger enemies to fight. It's typical for high-level forgotten warriors to be tough, though. They're very resistant to melee and they can hit pretty hard. If it's an especially tough one and it's blocking a guardian door that you need to enter, the best solution is probably to bust out some runes and use magic; otherwise, if you can, I recommend you just ignore it and dash past without bothering to fight.
  18. They're generally considered one of Kuradal's worst tasks.
  19. He probably is. He's a known troll.
  20. Most of Morytania as well. Vampires and ghasts are particularly stupid-looking. Trollheim too, but that's already in the works.
  21. SS should be a little faster as well as training strength, which is generally preferable to controlled. So I'd go with SS.
  22. It's the Release promo, if that helps.
  23. This weekend was the Scars of Mirrodin prerelease. It's unfortunate that I didn't have a steel dragon slayer task, because I got wrecked by them on four separate games and I sure could have used 15% bonus damage. I didn't even get any good drops from them. All I got were blowout games where I died with no permanents.
  24. IMO the only good rare is the Santa hat. It's the only one that actually looks good. The rest are lame.
  25. Skill levels do rise in value over time. Prayer and herblore are prime examples.
