  1. Another Game Guide fail. Yeesh. That makes what, a bajillion now?
  2. HA YOU GUYS FELL RIGHT INTO MY TRAP IT WAS MY PLAN ALL ALONG TO SAY STUPID THINGS SO THAT YOU WOULD CALL ME OUT ON THEM AND LOOK DUMB BECAUSE I DIDN'T MEAN IT AND YOU FELL FOR IT HAHA. :twss: No it doesn't. That's just a strawman stereotype. It's simply not true.
  3. You troll me all over the board so I troll you here and now. Can't handle it, ignore me. Don't worry, I'm ignoring you because you don't make sense, you don't understand sarcasim, you apply simple math to off-base assumptions and call them law, you quote economics like its the bible, and I'm beginning to think that english is not your first language. They tell me that you have trouble with sarcasim. Say it ain't so. Lmao. What you can't force you troll. Hence xtroll. Don't worry we know all your methods are the best because they come from you and you paid good dollar for them. You're a terrible rapper. :-w
  4. Really because i would much rather barrage at castle wars as opposed to running around casting water surge. The time spent doing some questing, and flipping/farming for some cash isnt really that much, having a much cooler spell to own people with is priceless. Gonna have to disagree with you here. Water surge is weaker (and sucky in general), but it's way cooler than ice barrage...uh, figuratively speaking, that is. Ancient spells need graphical updates. Plus, switching spellbooks is annoying.
  5. Gold bars are supplied in vastly higher quantities that they're demanded. Most of the people who make them are willing to accept the loss; in fact, the price of gold bars is too high now. Smelters would sell them for much less than 90 gp. In contrast, few people supply ashes, and there is significant demand for the relatively cheap herblore experience you get from Serum 207. So it's only basic economic forces at work. Are you sure? If you FM backwards you have to run to the square each time so you might be able to pick them up? I do this. I make fires backwards anyway and I only pick up the ashes that I can reach without slowing down, so the only cost is the couple extra clicks to bank them.
  6. All I've been trying to say this thread is that fun can be one of the goals of efficiency. Typically we just calculate getting the best gp and xp with your time. It does not mean however, that efficiency can be getting the best gp, xp, AND fun with your time. After all, playing a game and not having fun, is most definitely not efficient. I just choose not put fun in my calculations. Because calculating math equations with fun as a variable, is most definitely, not fun. Yeah, see, Grimy is ftw. Going out and posting exactly what I was gonna say without me even needing to have to say it and saving me the trouble of explaining everything myself. It's great.
  7. Almost all world-sized games have scale problems. Although the Kazard army part IS a big inconsistent. It'd be a bit of a big, confusing update if they fixed Kazard, but I think it'd be worth it imo. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Scale_theory
  8. 5m seems fair to me. *shrug*
  9. That just gives a higher chance of activating the elemental effect.
  10. Recent quests have an updated interface with an introduction screen and their own icons on quest items/NPCs. What are your plans for existing quests in this regard? Are they going to be left alone, gradually upgraded, reevaluated completely like Romeo & Juliet, or what? The Grand Exchange does not respond adequately to supply and demand for items traded in very low volumes, such as spirit shields and party hats. It's also vulnerable to pump-and-dump manipulation schemes. Thoughts on these issues? Any plans in the works for a Trouble Brewing update? It could use some clean-up. (Starting with a deposit-X feature to the hoppers, I hope.) Why does K'ril Tsutsaroth count towards a lesser demon task? He is clearly not a lesser demon. Is it true that higher farming levels help you harvest more herbs? Anecdotal evidence seems to indicate that the difference, if there is one, is too small to be noticeable. What are the mechanics of it exactly? (Also, why can't tool leprechauns store plant cures? That would be helpful.) Since I have your ear, mind if I present a few things that could use some right-click options? Wizard Cromperty's pure essence, GE trapdoor, player-grown spirit trees, and starting a new Temple Trek. Also, I have a suggestion for a firemaking update if you're interested...you should check it out.
  11. But it does still prove that the extreme version is unquestionably better than the regular version. (Faster AND cheaper.)
  12. If you apply that "potting every 5-8 minutes" to normal range potions then you are doing exactly what I stated already. Every minute equals 1 boosted level. So say if you pot every let's say 7 minutes, you pot after your stats have dropped 7 levels, which makes your range 105/99. This is exactly what I've been saying the whole time, so I don't know where you keep going with this. And if you want me to apply this to extremes, I'm just saying that potting every 17 minutes will make extremes cheaper than if you pot every 5-8 minutes. This can also be seen in my original post. L Kirby, what he means is, whether it is extremes or supers, most people repot after, say, 5 minutes. There, the picture isn't quite so clear: does the higher boost of extremes more than make up for the extra cost of repotting every 5 minutes compared to repotting every 5 minutes with supers? That'd be interesting to figure out. Myself, I repot less often with extremes, but I usually wait for x-level as that's harder to mess up (for melee, I wait until I'm down to 110). Ah, but let's say you challenge that dynamic and alter your use of extremes accordingly. If you would repot every so-and-so minutes at 105/99 with regulars, you could instead repot at 105/99 every such-and-such minutes with extremes and there you go, it's potentially cheaper for an even better boost.
  13. Dear Evil Dave, I need to train my herblore level to 65 so I can complete the "While Guthix Sleeps" quest. What should I do to level up? I am currently level 49 and I have 5m gp in my bank. --Sleepless in Sophanem Sleepless: You're in luck! I'm just beginning some new experiments with a DEMONIC TRANSFORMATION POTION OF DOOM! And, as it happens, I'm looking for some EVIL volunteers to help me test it! My last few tries didn't work out quite as well as I'd hoped (they turned the drinkers into HELL-GERBILS!), but the test subjects did mention to me that they'd had enough experience with DEMONIC EXPERIMENTAL HERBLORE that they never wanted to touch it again, so I assume they must have gotten lots of levels! --Evil Dave Dear Evil Dave, Okay, I'm ready to take on Jad, I think. My stats: 80 ranged 82 HP 79 defense 70 prayer Is this enough? And what setup should I use? Any other tips? --Fired Up in Falador Fired Up: I don't know much about combat, but I think your levels are high enough to BRING UPON THE FIGHT CAVES A RAIN OF HELLFIRE! I recommend that you wear full black d'hide--black is very EVIL in today's fashion. Make sure you bring plenty of DEATH and BLOOD runes so that your enemies will experience DYING AND BLEEDING or at least recognize their EVIL SYMBOLIC REPRESENTATION. You should also carry lots of Unholy Symbols as an EVIL LUCK CHARM. And remember to attack Jad with the most NEFARIOUS weapon of all: THE UNDEAD CHICKEN. Nothing will terrify him more, as everyone knows TzTok-Jad is deathly allergic to chickens! Bad luck on your mission, Fired Up! I hope to see you in Edgeville soon with a DEADLY fire cape on your back! --Evil Dave
  14. I agree here. I rarely saw skillcapes when I was F2P and they were a big deal, when I got members everyone and their level-3 had one or more. But whats wrong with showing of something your proud of? Sure I agree it's just stupid to make fun of someone becuase they don't have a lot of skill capes but if someones proud of getting a 99 why not let them wear it as often as they can? It only costs 99k and very seldom there is something far more important to take the cape spot while skilling. I agree. Getting down on someone because they're wearing s skillcape is just ridiculous to be honest, and if it's a hard skill they deserve props for their accomplishment as well. They "deserve" neither respect nor derision. It's a representation of an investment of a certain amount of time towards a certain activity. Having a skillcape, even an uncommon one like runecrafting, is not inherently good or bad or impressive or n00by; it's just a thing. They look pretty cool though.
  15. Can't you use §?
  16. You can't lure them together and they have pretty high ranged defense. Seems bad.
  17. Well, fishing and woodcutting are right out. They're not moneymaking skills. And fletching is only good if you do broad bolts, which are good, although best when combined with other activities. Runecrafting is a pretty reliable 500k-1m gp/hr or so once you hit the right levels, so that's good. And mining is on a similar level with runite. So out of those skills, I'd say either runecrafting or mining. You actually get more money buying the ess.
  18. At 83 fishing, you need a boost of +2 or greater to fish cavefish. That makes about 3-4 minutes per bite. Two pies = four bites = 12-16 minutes.
  19. Well, given that you're only going to be there for less than 15 minutes, I'd say you probably won't need much more than basic melee gear and Enhanced Excalibur, if even that.
  20. Well, I had less than 50m when I went for 95 prayer. And I definitely have no regrets on that. I am enjoying my Turmoil and Soul Split. I don't think you would regret getting 95 prayer. :-w Of course, the caveat is that you'd need to have the intent to continue training it to 95.
  21. "USoA"? Who says "USoA"? :-s
  22. You can't do solo medium dungeons on C1.
  23. Maybe the bankers in Draynor are more lax on procedure than the ones in South East Ardougne (where I took the picture).
  24. Hello, welcome to the Bank of Runescape. How may I help you? All of the money? Why certainly. Please enter your PIN. Yes, you have to. I'm sorry, I don't follow you. What is a "stick-up"? I'm afraid we don't have a record of any trading sticks in your account. You'll still have to enter your PIN. Thank you. Now, first click the FIRST digit. Now click the SECOND digit. Time for the THIRD digit. Don't you look at me like that. Finally, the FOURTH digit. Now, was that so hard? Now, did you say "All the money" or "All but one of the money"? No, we don't give people money in bags here. You'll have to take it as a stack of coins. Alright then, here you go, here is all the money in your account. Is there anything else you would like? Okay, so you're a robber. I'm still not following. We serve lots of thieves here. That fellow over there even has a thieving cape, see? Yes, I can see you have a crossbow. Many of our customers bring weapons with them into the bank. You can see that nice gentleman over there with the abyssal whip. And that girl with the spear is a frequent customer, and a very nice young lady. Alright, well, goodbye then! Have a nice day! What a strange young man. I wonder why he seemed so frustrated.
  25. You get like 900 maple logs per day from Miscellania, and anyone who wants to DIY it can still make an easy 60k xp/hr at teaks at no loss, and woodcutting is such a popular skill that any increase in price will cause a flood of players chopping new logs to support the increased demand.
