  1. I totally agree. To resume: Barrows legs and body parts help (no matter what kind) . Torag is most economical to buy (altho try getting torag legs and Guthan body- Guthan body is cheap!). If you are not going to use prayer advantage don't bother with verac's set, altho its quite usful in my oppinion. Dharok set is least usful, most people use it for training strength at monkey prayer altar for example... also places where they use protection prayer I highly disagree at point where some 1 said Torag isn't good for slayer. If you ask me its best for slayer if you don't use Guthans (Because Veracs only works better on high lvl monsters like Bosses,it doesnt make much diffrence at regular monsters) Really off topic, but would you stop using those annoying font/colors? They're irritating, and if you try to make us read it because it's important, that doesn't work. I often just skip the parts that are written in some screaming kind of underlined font 6 text.
  2. What makes you think making a skiller doesn't cost time? It actually costs more time, as you kind of need a few 99's for your skiller to be decent.
  3. Try making a main. A completely new and fun experience.
  4. Very, very good. That's a lot of herbs . And 40/45 seeds a day, even that would deserve a 10/10 rating. Very nice herblore rank and good luck on 99 farming, hawt skill .

One more question. Where do I kill them? I found this picture, but are there better places?
  6. I killed a random TzHaar a few days ago, got an obby sword drop. I don't think they're nerfed.
  7. I don't know where this dribble comes from. You stop burning monks at around 92. Hmm, I was pretty sure the cooking gloves didn't work on monkfish and that you still burned that at 99. If not, ignore that post. :-#

I find you really don't need the scrolls, but you can take them if you aren't comfortable sitting at 50hp waiting for rapid heal+yip to pull you back over 90. If you bring them though, only bring like 10, you honestly don't need more, that way you can drop em for cooked shark drops and not care about the cost.Throw the necklace in the deposit box when you get there so it doesn't really take up an inv spot. Okay, thanks. Hope my Zammy spear buys overnight, then I'm ready for them. :
  9. Yes, if you factored in that you still burn monkfish even that higher levels.

That setup seems good to me, but don't you need swallow whole scrolls to use the raw shark drops? And what about the games necklace, seems like I'd have too little inventory space if I have to take that too. Bringing one super restore to restore summoning points seems okay to me, they're only 1k more than prayer pots now anyway.

Thanks, that's quite a good guide. Any more setups/opinions?
  12. Even mining pure essence would get him close to 170k/hour. Aviansies are ~300k/hour for me. Collecting seconds for herblore is over 200k/hour usually. Crafting deaths or laws should be over 170k/hour. Hunting swamp lizards. Mining 500g granite. Also, I don't really get where you get the 170k/hour figure. Don't you lose money by cooking monks?
  13. On the hobgoblin peninsula near the crafting guild, or on Waterbirth island. You can collect it very fast on waterbirth by using lunar to teleport there.

Hey, I currently have waterfiends as my slayer task. I know roughly what to take (crush weapon, mage defence and bunyip), but can someone post an exact setup with a good inventory? Thanks in advance.
  15. Red salamanders, they're a bit faster than chins until level 70/75.
  16. Aviansies are 35k xp/hour for me and I make 300k/hour, using range pots. They're quite efficient, yaks are only more efficient if you make over 800k/hour or if you really don't need the money.
  17. 60 prayer and 80/85 range. Range aviansies or use knives or yaks/experiments/other stuff with low defence.
  18. You need higher pray/range for chins to be efficient, for now you're better off ranging the normal way.
  19. Crystal shield full has 80 ranged defense, but crystal shield 6/10 ties the DFS with 72, and then continues to drop as it degrades. Since you have no choice but to let it fully degrade, you're looking at lower defense for more than half of the time, plus spending money to recharge. The DFS is the clear victor in the long term. Obviously a 21m shield is going to be better. He has a 1M budget, a crystal shield is better than other options (defence-wise) for 8/10 charges. DFS also only has a -5 Ranged offence bonus. The quote I was responding to was This is not true. It clearly is true. Crystal shield - 80 defence, DFS - 72 Defence. Not true. So, 3/10th of the time it's better, 1/10th of the time it's equal and 6/10th of the time it's worse. Also,

You can only use a crystal shield for a short time with a 1m budget. Just go with the granite shield if you can't afford a DFS.
  21. Yeah thanks for the advice. You know it really pisses me off when people rip on other players just because they can afford to train their skills more efficiently. Gtfo. If I work to make the cash then I should be able to spend it on what I want. [/hide] You know it really, really pisses me off when I spend 5 months training a skill that I love from 90 to 99 then an update comes out allowing people to train that 99 over 10 times faster than I did, simply by getting lucky at GWD. I have zero respect for people who chinned 99 range just for the cape - and in the process getting a useful maxed skill with it. *insert care here* go cry or something image Really, we don't care. Changes happen, cooking and fletching were much harder before cook/fletch-x too. You're basically trying to say 'don't make money and get 99 range the fast way, because I got it before you did and I did it the slow way.' That makes no sense. It's like saying that he should train attack with a dragon long because you got 99 attack before whips were invented. Stop moaning and adapt.
  22. Not true. It averages it out. If you sell min and someones buys max then then it will go through at the middle value giving the buyer some change and the seller extra. Equally others are talking rubbish, the ge prices update every day. It varies time wise but during evening (GMT) they update. Selling/buying limits only apply to major resources eg runes and ess where you can only buy so many per 4 hours or per day That is not true, and D Jay was correct about the way that it works. It basically ends up with whoever puts in the earliest offer getting screwed. Go buy a swamp lizard for medium price, and look at how much you actually pay for it. The GE does update every day, but as he said, the exact time varies. The 4 hour resale limit applies to EVERYTHING. I'll just have to assume that you misunderstood something concerning your shield... There is also a limit on how many of certain things that you can buy/4 hours. A few that I know of are... Armour/Weapons - 100/4 hrs Runes - 50k/4 hrs(I think) raw Materials - 10k/4 hrs(again not sure) The only one that I am completely certain of is the 100 limit for armours and weapons, including utility weapons. Oh, so every 4 hours I can buy and sell 100 items of armour or weapons, so I could buy 50 shields and resell them immediately? You can buy only 100 finished products every 4 hours, eg. green d'hide bodies, yew longs and bracelets. You can sell whatever you want to sell without restrictions, providing there are buyers. Also, you can't sell an item within 4 hours after you bought it.

Selling/buying limits only apply to major resources eg runes and ess where you can only buy so many per 4 hours or per day Don't think so. If I buy something at max, and it doesn't buy immediately, I get no change when it finally buys. Did the guy who sold me the item get med price? If so, where has the rest of the money gone? Also, I've experienced that if an item is high in demand and I sell it at min (I always sell everything at min), I sometimes get max. This pretty much proves your theory wrong.
  24. Oh lol, I ment to say that. Keyboard ftl :-#
