Another suggestion: buy guthans, slay until you have enough charms for 68 summoning, sell guthans, get 68 summoning, buy a sara sword if you have enough money, otherwise make some and then buy a sara sword.

Take a look at this guide, it really helps. You can use Guthans, but I don't know if it's worth it. I just used addy bolts and diamond (e) for Jad and the 360's. Bring about 1k broad bolts (hit as hard as addy bolts but are 80ea), and about 300 diamond (e)'s. Bring a black d'hide body, you don't need Karil's extra magic defence as you'll be praying mage all the time. A granite/obby shield is better than a book of balance, bring an unholy book if that's an option for you. The explorers ring is a good idea. Bring 7 brews, 3 range pots, a stack of diamond (e) bolts, 7 super restores, guthans if you want it (I don't recommend it) and the rest prayer pots. Most of your questions will be answered in the guide to which I posted a link.

Your defence against magic is determined by a few things: your defence level, your magic level and your armour's magic defence. Your magic level is about four times as important as your defence level when defending against magical attacks. Link to a guide about this stuff. Also, max_miller, your defence level does help when defending against magic, although your magic level is more important.

Average price of coal is 135-140ea? The medium price on the g/e is 180ea, min is 171. That means you can't trade them for 135-140ea, even if you wanted to, unless you're going to buy them from random people every 15 minutes. Also, there's an almost infinite supply of green bodies/addy plates, even at minimum price, as a lot of people make loads of them to level their crafting/smithing. As for selling the bars at 650ea, that could be true. Lets say we buy everything at min and sell the bars at max, 650ea. Iron ore = 95gp Coal = (2 x 171) or 342gp Nature rune (they aren't really buyable at min, but whatever) = 230ea Total = 667gp. Steel bar = 650gp. So even that way, you don't make money. Also, medium prices for those items as of today: Iron - 99ea Coal - 180ea Nature rune - 342ea Steel bar - 621ea Sorry to say it, but your figures are off. Really off.

That's terribly slow. If you want to high alch, just buy stuff like green d'hide bodies, the min price is about 280gp under the alch price. You'll have to do some research on this yourself, prices fluctuate a lot.

I tried that, but it just doesn't work. Imagine all those people that use their gold charms on terrorbirds and try to sell them on the g/e. There's just way too much supply I guess.

Sell them. You only get 8 shards from it, if I recall correctly. That's only 200 gp, which is less than the GE price. They don't sell on the g/e. I've had 1k of em in there for 3 weeks now, 6 have sold -.-

Zammy mages are lower level and seem to have lower defence (from what I've heard). You have to use prayer though, and it's best to fight them inside the Zammy area. Saradomin mages are higher leveled than the Zammy mages, but you can fight them without taking damage. Simply stay in the main area of Gwd and attack the ones that are already in combat with Zammy monsters. I would prefer the Zammy monsters, I don't mind spending like 50k/hour on prayer pots for some extra convenience. You get more kills/hour this way too.

I once tried to use one (I was some 12 year old narb back then, I still have 7 black marks from that period :-#), and once in a while some warning screen would pop up about how using bots was against the rules and that it might get me banned and stuff. Silly me just X'd out that screen and continued macroing #-o

From 85 and up, you can get faster experience by training using the Dorgesh'Kaan course. There's a guide on the rsof out this iirc.

Do Ghosts Ahoy, then use the ectophial to tele there. Using Paw Claw's directions would be okay for getting there the first time, but if you plan on returning, just do the quest.
