Nope, not true. You can get quite a lot of good drops through slayer, and with the point rewards you can buy slayer dart runes, which you can sell. But a 80 mil reward, no.

Nah, just kill the 90 as fast as possible, trying to avoid the 180 (not that hard, trap it behind the 360 or something). They shouldn't hurt you too much if you're brewed up, 10/15% def prayer would help. You can swap a restore with a brew if you want, but after some more practice you shouldn't need it.

I did calculations, and steel bolts are cheaper by close to 1m (going for 69), and since I'm not rich, I like to go the cheaper way. Anyways, thanks for answering my question, it looks like I have a little over 5 and a half hours of smithing. I got 73 a week before Rocking Out, mith bolts were 2,8 gp/xp at the time :. This is perfect for you. Bring excalibur from the merlin's crystal quest instead of super def pots, you don't use your spec bar anyway. Bring torag's legs instead of verac's skirt, you don't need the prayer bonus and torag's gives more range defence. I get 290k/hour at 80 range with range pots.

You can smith about 1k bars/hour. I got 52k xp/hour making mith bolts, and those give 50 xp each.

You can get more, I have 25 of em. To make extra, cut some brances from the magic tree. Make them into a lyre (u) with a knife. Buy golden fleece from the troll for 1k, then spin that into golden wool. Add the golden wool to the lyre (u). Go to the place where fossegrimen is, and enchant them with sharks/turtles/manta rays.

Oh, no lol, I ment prayer pots. They do the same thing as super restores, restoring prayer, but cheaper. You only need one restore per brew. So, the inventory would be: 3 range pots 150 diamond (e)'s for the 360's and Jad 7 brews 7 restores 10 prayer potions.

Train your ranged to just one more level, you'll be able to swap your red d'hide with black. Don't use diamond (e)'s the whole way, they're a waste of money. I did it at 74 with mith bolts, with 70 range and broad bolts you're fine. Bring more range pots (3 of them, your range is low) and less brews, you wont ever use 10. 7 is a good amount. Bring an amount of super restores equal to your brews, then fill the rest of your inventory with range pots. This saves you money.

Or you make money any other way then buy normal ess. Way faster :|

The ZMI altar isn't a good way to level if your runecrafting is that low, you wont get much xp per essence. Just make fire runes, use duelling rings to tele near the altar and bank with castle wars teleport. Use super energies and the best pouches you can use.

Your prayer and range are too low. Get 60 prayer and 70 ranged, that's the minimum. If you want, you can get 70 range and stay 52 prayer, then try again. I doubt you will make it with prayer that low though. Also, you took too many brews, 7 is better. You wont need them once you're more experienced. With that low range, 3 range pots are recommended, try to drink them right after you've brewed. You can save money by taking 7 brews, 7 restores and 9 prayer pots instead of all restores. Verac's helm is better than the neitiznot helm, as it has way more range defence. If you get 60 prayer, Torag's helm would be better too. You only need 800 bolts max, no need to take 3.5k.

Use the abyss. From level 50 and on, you can do 1800 ess/hour, about 1400/hour under 50. You should use super energies, or a spirit terrorbird for run restoring. If you can use an abyssal familiar (level 54+ summoning), you should use that and super energies. Alternatively, you can use a spirit graahk to craft nats, this is slightly faster than the abyss. You can only use this for nature runes though, which don't give a lot of profit, so it's not advisable to use it if you are 54-91. There are better things to craft then. You also need 57 summoning to summon the graahk.

Even more, as you don't use essence for the second nature rune you get. Very nice! 91/99 :thumbup:

I suppose 91 runecrafting could then make a better requirement. Just kidding. What really disappointed me was that after so long (years) they have FINALLY added to payable option to calquat, crippling a critical use of the nature amulet (use it on vine/last herb visited instead), but at the same time it is awesome beyond description. Guess poison ivy's will shoot up :-#. Also, one if the rewards is teleport-to-altar tabs :. Hope they don't require a mad amount of tokens. Guess they will. They wont nerf runecrafting like this.

Very nice guide. You explain very clearly what to do. At some point you mention drinking brews, and you say 'drink 3-4 brew doses'. That should be 3, if you sip 4 the super restore wont fully restore your stats. Otherwise, good guide, now you made me want to solo even more :-#. Tried it a week ago with 78 range, the kill took 12 minutes and I used 13 brews :geek:. Guess I'll have to train my range.

This. Just use your rope on the boulder, you don't need mountain daugther.

At most bosses, range is the preferred style, and even if it's better to use melee, ranged is still quite effective. The diamond (e) bolts hit almost everything, too. Also, ranged has the dark bow in pvp, which can do a lot of damage. I'd say ranged.

60+, train at flesh crawlers or something until you're 60.

Get 70, then build shelves in your kitchen (the level 2 shelves), make some tea. Drink the tea, it gives +2 construction, and use a crystal saw which gives an invisible +3 construction. You can also do this at level 69 with level 3 shelves (then you can make tea that gives a +3 boost), but those shelves require gold leaves, which are more expensive than 69-70 construction. As for the actual levelling, get 34 building random things, then build oak larders 34-70. Have the noted planks and a stack of money in your inventory, and use the planks or your butler (the human butler is best, he requires level 40 con though) to unnote them. Construction is ~9 gp/xp if you buy the planks, about 5 gp/xp if you make them yourself. Be prepared to spend quite a lot of money.

You use tears/lamps/books/sorceress' garden to get it up to 15. Then keep planting oaks till you're 30. Alternatively, keep planting the best things you can in allotments until you're 15.
