Some runes you just need points in 1 area, cosmic runes only need enchantment point since you use them in the enchantment arena. To buy the specialty items/abilities you need points in all areas.

Green d'hide bodies are excellent xp, it won't take long at all. Once you get the level blue d;hide bodies are faster but the increase in xp is not worth the extra cost.

I have no problem with losing because the other team was organized and played with a better strategy. I hate losing because some inept moron thinks he has a chance of scoring a point. The rewards are pointless? They are symbols of dedication and an interest in playing Castlewars, just like skillcapes show your prowness in a skill. Excuse me for trying to do something I enjoy, I guess I should alch my golden decorative shield then go grind my skills, since they have practical aplications :roll:. Castlewars is a team game, and players should try to help their team. Making everyone else suffer just for the kicks and giggles of wasting their time is no way to play a game.

Ranger boots are better then snakeskin and can be resold, why not use them :|

On the high population FoG worlds you cannot sit in the centre and wait to see your opponent if he uses the house portals; there is a maximum ammount of players (dots) that can be displayed on screen at once and there are more then enough players in the middle to reach this. I find the best method is to run in the opposite direction of the house your opponent used then wait a few seconds, which usually tricks the player into exiting without using the portal, and then run straight back past the house. The south-west square of the middle symbol is the 'pile square'. There are 2 rocks in the middle in direct alignment. These are excellent for hugging, then running behind the opposite rock, if you are tanking in the middle and being melee'd. Hugging larger obsticals (my favorite being the long string of rocks in the northeast) is a great way to throw off your opponenet; snag him on the north side, use your teleorb, then run where ever you like.

Magic helm should read: 3rd age hat > Farseer helm = Ahrim's hood = infinity hat = healer hat Magic amulet should read: 3rd age amulet > Fury = glory = mage amulet As someone else stated, a dragonfire shield gives -10 magic attack and shouldn't be considered for maging. On the otherhand, a dragonfire shield would be better than an anti-dragon shield for melee because of its +7 strength.

Indeed, by its self magic has little hope against a mager or meleer in range armour. However by using it with the other combat styles you are a much more effective fighter. The problem is that meleers and rangers (albeit, less so for rangers) get a large ammount of accuracy from a weapon and some jewlery, while mages have to depend on low-defence robes for their accuracy bonuses. However if you gave mages a staff with high accuracy, such as +65, it would be overpowered. A better solution already stated would be to make range equipment give negative melee attack, like armadyl does.

You want higher leveled training monsters? What? Training monsters aren't supposed to be high levels, because higher levels tend to have higher defence. If you want a challange kill some Revs.

In order to give my team a better chance of winning I use a castlewars brace, barrows armour, and ice barrage. I consider myself an excellent Castlewarrior, and try to help my team as much as reasonably possible with my stats and equipment. While I do not expect people to put as much money into the minigame as I do, I do expect them to atleast play with some kind of logical thought process. Do not run out chasing the enemy flag as soon as the game starts without grabbing atleast 4 healing kits, or you won't have the energy to get back. If the enemy team lets you in and encourages you to get the flag, it's not because they like you, they want to kill you and take their own flag. If you're in a granite platebody and dragon skirt, and every floor is bristling with whips, godswords, and ancient staffs, don't take the flag. If you get the flag to the ground floor and clearly do not have the levels or supplies required to make it back to your base, don't leave the building. Taking the underground tunnel does not make you invisible, it means you'll make it to the central ladders before getting killed. If you encounter a barricade, don't whine about how stupid they are, whine about how stupid you are for not grabbing a tinderbox and some explosives. THINK BEFORE YOU MAKE THE ENTIRE TEAM LOSE.
