That's not the reason suiciding is illegal though... Probably not. But I was demonstrating how suicide isn't just something you do to your own body, it goes further than that. I still find drug-consumption, suiciding, and abortion as acts that should be perfectly legal. Now that I know you're hot... I don't know how to respond to you... ... Go make me a sammich. Heh There's an obvious reason why drugs aren't legal (suicide is legal, btw). The government is in place to protect the well being of the people, and, as I'm sure you know, drugs aren't exactly good. If drugs weren't illegal (Pot excluded, as it's not very harmful), you'd see the same thing going on with Cocaine as it is with Cigarettes. Little kids would be lured in my advertising to do Cocaine and Meth, and, instead of getting addicted for 40+ years, they'd be addicted for like 5. If a 30-year-old can do Cocaine, there's no logical way to stop said 30-year-old to sell his drugs to a middle schooler for a couple bucks. I do agree that abortion should still be legal, though. I still think of it as an economic thing as opposed to a moral thing because there're conflicting ethical issues on each side, both of which I half-heartedly support. I posted some stuff a page back on my ideas. In most countries, suiciding is illegal. If the authorities suspect you're about to commit suicide, you will more than likely be hospitalized by force. Ofcourse, in most cases they're way too late... which could possibly explain why many don't know suiciding is illegal. That, and the fact that no one would sue or imprison anyone else if they had suicided, and if they were caught beforehand, they'd be hospitalized, not imprisoned. As for drugs. Why not? It's my body, and as a person in a free society, I'm deserving the right to decide for myself. Suicide used to be illegal in the US, but it was repealed a few decades ago. I think there's like two states left that still haven't made a decision, but it's accepted that it's still legal. As for the drugs thing, sure, it's your body, but, in a capitalistic society, people will take advantage of the fact that they can get kids hooked on extremely fatal drugs, so there are bigger consequences to that decision. @Qeltar: Prohibition increased crimes, didn't work, and was overall a bad idea, I'll agree, but the drugs that are illegal (Marijuana excluded) are illegal for a reason. They might be major contributors to crime, but if they weren't, kids would be lured in by people and/or companies to buy those drugs, thus getting hooked. I don't agree that we can afford to pay such a price for a free society. Also, Pharmaceutical companies happen to be safe. I wont argue with you on your comment against them (Links for proof?), but it's not like they're giving out free Meth to little kids across the streets. Pharmaceutical companies are safe. :-o Except for all of the drugs that are now fed to people that don't have a health issue: just look at depression, ADD/ADHD, "leaky bladder", mood-stabilizers....

Wait, I think we're getting those in NZ, I keep hearing people talk about how doitos are coming to NZ. They get the Skull Emblem seal of approval. I really only like the cool ranch ones though, but the regular ones aren't bad either. Damn, I really wana get some now. Such a long walk to...the car. Well, that's what RuneScape drugs do to you.
  3. Skeptical replied to deathdrow's topic in Off-Topic
Marijuana should be legalized, all other drugs should be tightly controlled, with anyone caught selling to people under 18 should be severely punished.
  4. As Dark said, it's varies, but I've so far found it to be pretty lame xp, but that may just be when you're at the bottom of the learning curve.
  5. That link isn't working but I am assuming you posted a Death Star. The Death Star is the most powerful weapon in the Universe! It has no flaws. None. Except for... uh, I mean, yeah, it's like virtually indestructible. Like, 99.999%. I mean, there's this little hole. It was kind of an aesthetic choice by the architect. And if you shoot a lazer in the hole... It... Uh, blows up. I mean, it's not big. It's just like two meters across. And to even get to it you have to skim along this whole trench-- it's not a big deal. I mean, can't we like put some carboard plywood over it or something?
  6. Thanks for all of the info guys. I do have about 60 mil in cash and additional liquid assets, but I would really prefer to not have to spend massive amounts of gold on gettting only a few herby levels. I tried buying and cleaning herbs, but the constant clicking drove me insane. Is there a general consensus on what method is best, that will not involve cleaning massive numbers of herbs?

I almost unlocked it, but my data got corrupted for the 6th time. =/ Do you know why that happens?
  8. If you use adblock, check that you haven't blocked it. Switch browsers, or use the OFFICAL RuneScape client. Restarting/reinstalling Java might fix it, but unlikely. It needing to be updated is far more likely.
  9. I would like to train my herblore up, preferably only spending a couple mil, while minimizing time. I'm level 60, and am open to buying and collecting. I do farm quite a number of herbs per week, but obviously it's a slow way to collect them. Fire away, and thanks in advance for the help.
  10. One thing I think you need to do is be interested in girls for who they are, not what they look like. You might stumble across the rare girl that is a stunner and has the personality that meshes with yours perfectly, but you're 13, that isn't very likely. Focus on personality, it's more important in the long run. I'm actually 15, only a few months from 16... does my profile actually have the wrong age listed?
  11. It would be nice if they had thrown in a big xp bonus or a cool item after you get the statue, but I really enjoy Shattered Heart: it made me participate in some skills I normally ignore for the most part.

I'm not much of a cook, but that does sound like something that I could do. =P I'll probably try eating at a restraunt first, so I have a better idea of exactly what it's supposed to taste like.

C'mon, Hex. You can troll better than that. I've seen you do better. Yeah. Plus, that sort of fit in with the topic. Frankly, I'm a tad bit dissapointed. Must've lost my touch. Hey...... Whys no-one getting angry and disagreeing with me, I always found that funny. Eh, sometimes when it's really stupid, I just don't feel motivated.

  15. I didn't do anything nearly as interesting as that; I just delivered papers. Actually, I found it to be a rather meditative activity, so I quite rarely refer to it as a job. Unlike the landscaping that I am currently employed in.
  16. Finding smarter girls is actually quite a bit more difficult than people project it to be. No worries, I was expecting worse, and sarcasm is a least the more friendly and witty brand of depreciating humor.
  17. Lol. You care about how they dress?
  18. Skeptical replied to Skeptical's topic in Off-Topic
Yea, that's my plan. Once I know what I like, I'll try making some of my own.
  19. Wow dude, I'm going to have to spend the next twenty minutes looking through this thread to get that image out of my head. Not cool.
  20. Is not that easy, education and protection definitely helps but no way does it prevent the problem completely. Yes it does, look at the declining population of developed countries.
  21. Why are they paying that much for a dog? Purebred or something? I find it so stupid when people pay that much for cats and dogs when there are perfecly good ones at the SPCA that need a home... My family bought quite an expensive Irish Water Spaniel, but that was because of allergy concerns. Turns out that the dog wasn't the problem, so we got another mutt - couple hundred from the humane society, and she was ours.

It would make me feel better if you added something to that idea akin to "but only if it brings no harm to others", but it's your call.
  23. Skeptical replied to deathdrow's topic in Off-Topic
Thanks for putting that out there. I've had friends who decided to "experiment" and it's just as destructive as "actually being addicted."
  24. No it should not be instated. When people are educated and provided with contraceptives, they have fewer children without encountering any ethical boundaries or violating any human rights.

I'm currently reading Our Daily Meds (a good book, btw) while planning my route for the first good day to bike ride.
