Survival of the fittest? I believe I heard somewhere some races are more likely to get certain diseases, etc. And trust me, the most close minded people I've ever seen have been some Christians, AND ATHEISTS. You can't say atheists have to be open minded anymore than Christians, maybe they were raised Atheist, and just remained Atheist throughout their life? Honestly.... Though this wasn't exactly what I was looking for, here it is, the "onus of proof" http://www.thebodypro.com/content/art54912.html (read toward the bottom with the statistics) Also: http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=4726 While this doesn't necessarily mean one race is better, there were multiple other links stating that some races are more susceptible to certain diseases. That article was one of the worst I've ever read. African-Americans and Hispanics along with several other "minorities", almost universaly are disadvantaged in our newly globalized world, and as such, has a lower income when compared to other races. Lower income is directly correlated with poor diet (see: http://www.ers.usda.gov/AmberWaves/September05/Findings/DietQuality.htm) which will obviously have a detrimental effect on health, especially when multiplied by poor dental care and lack of access to health resources. If there is a correlation between race and health, it is entirely impossible to prove, and would be a pointless endeavor.
  2. I'm hardly a social expert, but the extent to which I lack the basic ability to relate to other human beings is exemplified by my decision to ask strangers for help on the internet. Here is my problem, or what I currently believe to be my problem: -Meet girl, begin talking to girl. -I find her attractive, and therefore interesting. -Girl begins to blabber mindlessly about MTV, "Snookie" and emo music. -Novelty of her attractiveness wears off, and boredom sets in. -Girl asks/repeats something, I absentmindedly reply using a string of words inclusive of more than 5 separate syllables and possibly not English -Girl backs away frightened, searching for someone with a lower I.Q. and muttering something about nerds and desiring carbohydrates. I try to avoid sounding "smart" in front of members of the opposite gender, but unfortunately, when I become bored, I forget and slip back into my natural tongue. What can I possibly do to avoid this? Help me strangers.
  3. I personally prefer RARfrog, but that's the basic idea.
  4. The Big Bang Theory theme song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhTSfOZUNLo
  5. Sounds like an interesting idea. I think that it would require a few more tasks though.
  6. The gentle hum of my computer fan, and the occasional click of my Zebra M-402 mechanical pencil as I fill out my course journal. After that, some Kittie.

...who makes you kill everybody you love. Also, he's [bleep]ing scary-looking and likes to tap on your window at night. Yea, he's pretty damn creepy. BTW, anyone here read the Walking Dead comics?

People that do not believe in any god or supernatural power are almost exclusively open-minded: after all, science hardly provides any evidence about anyone being any "better" than anyone else, so It's hard to have a racial bias.

Good luck with that! It just so happens that I'm putting off doing homework to fish atm, lol.
  10. Halitosis is just something "made-up" by marketers so that they can sell more overpriced crap to us.
  11. If it's a "friend-friend" situation, I hardly think he wants her reading the Bible. =P
  12. And I had thought that I was skinny! Good luck dude.
  13. I recently read several of the Walking Dead comics and watched some [bleep]ty MTV reality show for about 10 minutes, so I had some rather strange dreams involving both zombies, and scanty clothing. :ohnoes:

I often use javelins and such, and any spare fletching and crafting garbage. It really can help cut the costs of training those skills if you can get rid of them through lending.
  15. Cardio is crap, btw. I do it because I want to die in my sleep, not coddled along half-dead in a nursing home.
  16. Diet: PALEONU ^It will do amazing stuff for you. And it's not a diet, it's not a pill, it's not a trick to make you lose weight. It's a way to change your life, your mindset, and your attitude about food. Exercise: MARK'S DAILY APPLE the dude makes working out into playtime. It's awesome.
  17. Parkour looks so awesome. I'd like to try it sometime, but I don't think that I have the coordination. =P
  18. Today was my off day; I just started the Air Alert vertical jumping program, and it's left me pretty sore. Just bouncing a volleyball around in the backyard with my dog. If it was warmer, I would've gone for a light bike.
  19. A lot of professionals don't even consume sports drinks: it's just water in Gatorade bottles, and most of the "benefits" of consuming "enhanced" water/sports drinks can be had by adding a bit of rock salt. (Yes, believe it or not.) or just consuming them in a pure form. Also thought that this article may be of interest to posters: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/bling-water/

You could bring the bike with you to college as transportation, it's a lot easier to bring than your own car. If you really wanna keep the bike you should just store it at home in the garage or something. If you want to bring your bike to school with you just invest in a good u-lock and a cable lock just for extra security. You could also strip the bike of it's paint, get it down to raw metal, it will seem less attractive to thieves and it wont attract as much attention as a nicer bike would. Either don't buy a good bike, or make sure that you've removed/secured any parts that could be stolen, especially quick-release wheels. I second that whole-heartedly. It is not fun to come back to your bike to find a wheel missing. Secure your seatpost too. A lot of MTB seatposts use a QR clamp. Funny story: one time I was taking the seat off of my bike, and a cop actually stopped me, thinking that I was stealing parts, until I managed to convince him that it was indeed my bike. :shame:
  21. I think it's a cool idea. Would be fun for roleplaying and clans/POE.
  22. Seems like it was likely just a mistake on the part of Jagex, or as was said, maybe a graphics issue on your end?
  23. Cool idea. We really don't have very many (useful) rings to choose from.
  24. Great ideas. If JaGex would implement more of these, small, easy to instate ideas, I think the game would be far better of for it.
