  1. I have a level 1 stainless pot. First hat I found too. I wish there were more good sniper hats. I use Ellis cap + Razorback because I like to hide the fact that I'm not completely terrible at the class.
  2. Cute J-pop and bad rave music.
  3. It's honestly not. It's really mostly matter of preference. I like being able to move my mouse across the screen and only moving my hand a few centimeters. Turning up the cursor speed gets you nowhere close to the sensitivity and response a high dpi mouse can give you. Yeah, I was more saying that either isn't inherently "better" as such - super high DPI is now a selling point and it really depends on what you want to do. I mean, if you play RTS you'll find it easier, but if it jitters it's annoying (which is a problem with high DPI lasers on cloth so you should use your desk/get a hard mousepad). The biggest problem I have with the MX518 is the weight and shape. The sensor in the new model is really good but man, feels like a brick and I can't claw grip it easily. Anyways: Low DPI, comfy grip, low price and good sensor: Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical or Intellimouse Explorer. High DPI, asymmetrical, mid-priced and good sensor if you update the firmware: Razer Deathadder 3.5g. That's pretty much my take on gaming mice.
  4. Intellimouse 1.1/3.0 or Wheel Mouse Optical. Gaming mice are absolute trash. Over the years I've owned an MX500, MX518, Diamondback, Deathadder V2, G5 and a Kinzu, and I've sold all of them except the Deathadder V2, which is still garbage compared to the IME and WMO. A few of them have really good sensors but that means nothing if it weighs more than a brick/poor build quality/poor cable/poor grip, which a lot of the ones I listed suffer from. I've tried a bunch of them but keep coming back to the Wheel Mouse Optical. They cost like 10 bux, asymmetrical and lightweight. If you want side buttons, get an Intellimouse Explorer. Also, high DPI = better is BS. Get a good pad instead of an overpriced mouse.

  6. No to all. I'm lazy.
  7. Whoops, I meant interdimensional.

  8. Indeterminate voyage of the lock button to a thread.

  9. Kritz spy is fun if you can handle the revolver aim. :>
  10. Ubered scout and kritz sniper are boss. Although kritz sniper is kind of a waste because anyone who is worth kritzing will automatically aim for heads anyway. Demo kritz is superb if you can be aggressive enough; soldier kritz is superb if you can surprise them; heavy kritz, no. No opinion on pyro though.
  11. Does every thread need to have something to discuss? :v
  12. Oh man I forgot to quote, someone was going on about the people who say fragging is not useful for the team. The game is all about numbers and Uber advantages so any kills are 100% useful to the team.
  13. ??? TF2 is all about kills, co-ordination and number advantage.

  16. Now for something completely different: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4xR-7122x4 I miss you, zerox. I really do.
  17. Hahaha yeah, it gets silly. ETF2L has considered ping caps but considering "Europe" pretty much extends from Iceland out to Turkey and Israel and thousands of miles into Russia then it would be unfair. Hell, I know a lot of UK players who are far ahead of me that play with well over 70 ping to Germany. There is so much [bleep]ing because countries that do have super internet feel like they are screwed over by people who have higher ping. It's not even the ping that matters - what matters are choke and loss which are factors in people warping. I'm fine with any ping as long as people aren't warping. Someone could have 10-20 ping and still warp like crazy.
  18. But I snipe at close range and spy at long range. 3: I mean, I see your point; though it's more fun and satisfying for me to play spy like sniper w/ disguise and cloak rather than "seriously". The backstab mechanic feels broken (maybe it's my mediocre connection) and headshots seem to be a more reliable and entertaining way to play a class that's, well, usually really boring. Also I love how people complain about pings over 40 or 50. I play with an avg. of 50 to UK servers and 60-90 when I'm playing 6v6 on continental servers. I don't think it's such an issue for the others here since a lot of the TF2 people seem to be from NA or Aus, but seriously, it does not put someone opposing me at a disadvantage. It puts me at a disadvantage. >100 ping is easily playable as scout and sniper up to about 170-180 and maybe even 200 depending on the server. Not all of us live in the middle of cities/have access to internet with enough upload speed to facilitate lower pings. Whiners gonna whine. High ping gaming is fun anyway. I love playing in American lobbies and getting those lagshots.
  19. The fact that you can hit consistent 102 shots from any distance is another factor for me. It can be difficult to aim at longer ranges though it's just a matter of getting used to it. I'm a silly scout main anyway, what do I know about sniping.
