  1. There are Tool fans, and too many Tool fans in one place. Sunny Day Real Estate - 48
  2. Any band that tries to cover My Bloody Valentine has their cover songs automatically added. Seriously, you can't imitate MBV.
  3. I find what.cd pretty useless unless you actually have stuff to upload, which I don't. I've had torrents sitting without seeding in my client for months now.
  4. Trouble is, there is very little stuff that I would classify as underheard.
  5. ????? - ???? [yt]pcWaI4R2_sk[/yt] Why is this so cute?
  6. [hide=][/hide] New one. Shorter hair now.
  7. To the Japanese learners in this thread (there are some IIRC): None of the colleges in my area do a Japanese course, so it looks as if I'm going to have to teach myself. What are, in your opinions, the best books to get? I know a few have been name-dropped in here and on /jp/, but their names escape me. It'd be a big help if someone here could point me in the right direction. I thought this would be the best place to ask.
  8. [yt]PFveIrFwKeo[/yt] Cover of ?????? [Hana, Taiyou, Ame/Flower, Sun, Rain] by Japanese folk rock band PYG.

    Hardcore

[] As for dance hardcore, I've heard a little here and there; mostly from weeaboo friends who are into the whole "hey, let's remix anime tunes into hardcore" thing. It's kinda fun.

    Today...

Need I mention that I live in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, yet, I have the best connection speeds of anyone I know? Going outside today was traded for a day of staying in watching anime and listening to music. [bleep]ing chronic depression returns when you least expect it to. I thought I was going on a good streak of a few days' well-being, but I guess not.
  11. Aria is my favourite slice of life, yeah. It's so relaxing. Another one for you all (thanks NicoNico!): [yt]-ZTtRNz5G4w[/yt]
  12. I don't know any fun and games AMVs, but maybe I'll post a couple of my favourite ones later. <-- OH YES I DO DISREGARD THAT: [yt]X3jtiH6WIRo[/yt] Finished up Myself;Yourself yesterday. It started off as boring as hell, but the middle-to-later epsiodes MORE than make up for that. A brilliant drama with a very cool ending, for once. Much better than the Kyoani weak endings of Clannad and Kanon. I recommend it to anyone who likes drama anime. Started watching Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha just now. It's a bit what the actual f*ck two episodes in, but it needs a bit more time. It seems enjoyabe though. Also resumed my watching of K-ON!, which is now officially the stupidest anime I've ever seen. However, it's so captivating and I can't stop watching it. F*ck.
  13. No. Double no. http://cccp-project.net/ is what I use, and I find it to be more efficient than both VLC and K-lite. VLC has some annoying problems for me, such as crashing when I try to play 720p/1080p H.264/AVC-encoded video (hell, not even HD - sometimes it just crashes ANYWAY), barely average support for soft subtitles and blocking after opening a video. K-lite is basically CCCP's bloated twin. I mean, it works, but I would take the lighter CCCP over it. Install it with the Media Player Classic option, and you should be fine playing DVDs. (also, it has an option to register file extensions with WMP if you want to use that)
  14. Browser: Firefox, Opera Music player: foobar2000 Video playback: CCCP Antivirus: avast! IM: Digsby Should get you started.
  15. Title sounds like a King Crimson cover album. Super going.
  16. Mono & World's End Girlfriend - Trailer 1
  17. I always used to really hate it when people hugged me. Get off me, you [bleep]ing weirdo.
  18. Neurosis - The Eye of Every Storm Apocalypse music!
  19. Finished rewatching both versions of Kanon. I forgot that there were certain parts of the 2006 remake that make me feel like complete sh*t. It's not that they're NOT brilliantly done - it's just that I can relate to about two events in a way. I think it could be in my top 5 anime of all time. I used to think Clannad was better, but Kanon simply blows it out of the water.
  20. I need to listen to this. I'd say Yukari Telepath is the album that has the most DM elements. They change styles about 3 times in each song anyway, though - they're quite an interesting band.

    Rap lol

Come on, now. I hate them now I'm feeling better. No idea what happened to me then. I think your joking. The first thing I think of now when someone says Dream Theater is [bleep]ery. Thanks SilverSword. You're most welcome.
  22. Just a guess, but maybe metal[bleep]s are inclined to post after they read your about me. Dunno if you like being flamed or not though.
  23. Feeder is kinda cool. Everyone knows Buck Rogers, though. As for me: - Curse ov Dialect (abstract hip-hop, Australia) - Luminous Orange (shoegaze, Japan) - Cruyff in the Bedroom (shoegaze, Japan) - Coaltar of the Deepers (shoegazing death metal (almost), Japan) - Hartfield (shoegaze, Japan) - Choro Club (choro/bossanova, Japan) - Envy (screamo, Japan) - Mass of the Fermenting Dregs (shoegaze/post-hardcore/altrock, Japan) - maudlin of the Well (avant-garde, USA) Yeah I've just [bleep]ged this thread up.
