  1. Luck with that, then. I still disagree with the weekly thing. Some people might suffer from whiplash. It's about damn time someone on Tip got serious with dg.
  2. My thoughts. I find it problematic that a clan attempting to teach people must have a dg level requirement. It's already been admitted that the dg level doesn't matter much. Please consider other factors than mere "levels." Changing worlds daily would be a headache. Monthly or bi-weekly might work. If this website were to be separate from the main site - Tip - then a link back to here would be nice. A well-presented video works far better than a written guide. Oh, hell, why not start a thread located somewhere in the clan area? A friends-only chat for the first few months of the chat's birth would put down any spam/chaos/griefing. It's actually hard to reach the 200 friend limit anyway, and besides, only 100 people can be in the chat. And please pick a good name for the cc. Something like, oh, "Army of Hyt." I don't know. If you were to establish a patronage/sponsorship system, where the ranked pick up recommendations on potential clan dgers for review, it would help with the quality control.
  3. Heh. I remember you vaguely from world 1. It was either a rage-quit from a dungeon or a complaint about "rushing" through doors and not helping to kill.
  4. The guard room puzzle, where you have to steal keys. I'll clarify that. And we aren't exactly "full-time" in the sense that you're required to be with the clan and not go haring off elsewhere - at least, not since we finally got an official world. Isn't just knowledge, or combat/dungeoneering level. Attitude's important. If I've learned anything from GOP in w61, it's that.
  5. That'd be me. The following True or False questionnaire may appear to insult your intelligence. Kindly refrain from jumping to conclusions. Where your answer is false, please explain why. 1.) You must not run in the guard room puzzle where you have to steal keys. T/F? 2.) Killing dinos makes you lose exp. T/F? 3.) 5 people are required to do the lever-switch room. T/F? 4.) You need to kill everything for 10% mod. T/F? 5.) The person with the lowest magic level should activate the monolith. T/F? 6.) The ferret hunter room can be done in f2p. T/F? And the last question. Mind, there is no real right answer, just preferences. In what order would you open these doors if you were keying in a party you cannot trust, which is typically most parties in world 7/117? The doors are: Guardian, Door, Key Door, Skill, Puzzle. The rest is all a matter of attitude and the only way to test that is through a trial run. I've played with you before. But that was long ago, so it might as well have been in another country.
  6. Bloody hell. I thought you'd given up on that. Rank up, check later. Hmm. The second challenge ought to be rush-keying doors open to the point of near-death, not being able to eat unless your hp is below 111.
  7. I recall the boy was trying to convince we few from the "trash" world that the best world is w61, though the time is somewhere closer to 30-40 min than 20-30 min. None of them would want the 50% exp cap applicable to all f2p.
  8. Want fast experience rates of 60k per 20-30 minutes? Go to world 61 and join the chat there. That's if they even bother accepting you, and if you can stand playing with leechers who outnumber the skillers. Heh. I know for a fact that there are people on this forum who do use that world. (And if you GOP, you'll encounter the usual suspects from the guild.) Then there are the private permanent teams scattered across many f2p worlds. Unfortunately the majority of f2p players are not up to such "elite" standards as demanded on w61. The "trash" are cast off to world 7 and world 1. Woo! The figure of 60k is from a banned level 3 leecher I know of who bragged about that number. I will not name the account - call him Mark - but he eventually got banned for botting. He claimed to have gotten 90+ dg in roughly two weeks through playing with a certain pure f2per. Oh, and he made another account straight away anyhow and got it back up to 90+. Whoop-de-doo. This is the state of what "elite" f2p dungeoneering has become. Ah, and Langer? You shouldn't care at all anyway. You're p2p, and as such you're not affected by the penalty and your apathy toward the situation is understandable. So it shouldn't matter for someone like you. You've paid your money, so enjoy your game.
  9. I read somewhere that Jagex sometimes read the Times. I consider it ironic that if it'd reach their eyes faster than feedback in their own forums.
  10. Oi, Pink. Go see how far along in a dungeon floor you are by the time this track ends. Trying rushing with it. This is currently the kind of music I play while killing off my party. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6jApqqxJ7Y&fmt=18
  11. Considering that level 3 leechers - who I consider a different breed from real level 3 skillers as night is different from day - are the player-found solution to the 50% experience cap, Jagex will likely not do anything else about it or put their fix at the very, very bottom of the priority list. But good on you Sees to air the dirty laundry, so to speak. Nothing more permanent than a temporary measure. Heh.
  12. That's the new puzzle. The other grapple bridge puzzle is members. Maximum damage I've hit with magic is 220+ but the problem is still the cost of each rune cast for those who are concerned with money, which I am not.
  13. It would be nice if they touched on the other forms of emergent gameplay instead of the vanilla they posted up.
  14. Kill them off and let the gods sort it out. "Rush" a dungeon opening as many doors as possible, sit back and watch them struggle to live through the mass of monsters with the added benefit of disorienting them 9 times out of 10. No point getting angry at the lot of them when the situation can be potentially entertaining. Just make sure you don't overreach yourself. Also, boo.
  15. Emergent gameplay is intentionally tying in Stealing Creation. It is splitting the altars in 50-50 for the Great Orb Project. Constantly letting level 3s leech in dungeoneering to get 40-50k+ exp in f2p is emergent gameplay. 76k tricking in pvp - or whatever 'k it is now - is yet another example. Merchant manipulation clans/corporations too. Creating mules in classic because your main didn't have enough room is emergent gameplay. Jagex-hosted events are not emergent while one of the weird tip.it hosted events like cabbagebombing in the TET would be a good example. Cryptic Clues and Oktoberfest are absolutely not emergent gameplay. They're just events. Emergent gameplay must come from the players, otherwise you can't really call it "emergent." Playing the game in ways Jagex hasn't thought of is emergent gameplay. Often that means it's against the spirit of the game. Going by the wikipedia definition, the examples I mention are under unintentional emergent gameplay. And there is a lot of that which Jagex does not like. Some of the examples in the blog would fall under the other kind of emergent gameplay. The Jagex blog has it half-right and half-wrong.
  16. Why large dungeons, and why not 5-man small dungeon, max difficulty & complexity? I just wish that Jagex will think this movement over, sooner or later. Small dungeon in f2p with a full team of 90+ and all the trimmings only gets a piddly amount of exp. Doing that for 10 floors straight gets boooooring, at least to me. By making every floor count with full difficulty set at 5 and large dungeon you could unlock a number of floors before having to reset. Problem is that it eats up a lot of time, and it's hard to recruit a full team. :ohnoes:
  17. Hai Sees! Look at Setelima's level in highscores. It might be better to do large dungeon with 5 people on maximum difficulty at your level now, I think you'll be getting 8-9k+ exp per floor with large. Tbh I'm having far more fun (when I have the time to play) to really care about the exp nerf.
  18. Hai! Green dragons? Frost dragons too. Just pray with protect from magic beforehand and you'll negate a good amount of the firebreath damage. :)
  19. ahhh i get it now. thanks for elaborating. But i have a suggestion to ask. would it be more exp p/h if i set complexity to 1 for the previous floors (like 1-11) and then set it back to 6? so that i won;t waste my time getting little exp. Not really a good idea at your current level, since complexity 1 has a -50% exp penalty.
  20. It's a definite problem, he's not the only member-turned-non-mem who can't bind an item because they already bound one in p2p. I don't think they'll fix the issue of being able to rejoin a solo party. The instanced dungeon is removed from the game when you leave if you decide to go solo since it looks like it's tied to the party leader.
  21. When you reset after hitting your bottom floor (21st floor) your prestige becomes that number, 21. That way you can get more exp when you redo 1-21 again. Eventually you'll unlock floor 22, so when you finish your new bottom floor (22) after having done all the floors again, and then you reset, your prestige becomes 22. And after resetting the cycle repeats. Savvy? :)
  22. Only for the new skill, opening up the other skill tabs show the normal 99.
  23. Anyone know if the skillcape is also for f2p? I think I might like this new skill.
  24. How can you stand to play on such a tiny screen Sonic? 'o.O Very, very nice score Rsnl, the four of you were obviously compatible with each other to get a score like that.
