great thread. yea I've been balancing (poorly) rs with school/hockey. I always put school and hockey first but whenever I get free time I jump on the ole computer and play away, usually doin something pointless like mining (which I like). not a very wise use of my spare time. but I have nothing else to do. my idea/plan would be to quit rs sumtime during or after junior year in highschool (prob around sat time) and focus on college and my dream of becoming some sort of heart doctor like a cardiologist or a heart surgeon and to live out my highschool life with my friends whom I mite never see again. hopefully I can break that chain rs has around my ankles without sawing through my leg (get the movie reference?) great post, hit the nail rite on the head for me

i dont understand why there are flame posts about "reverting back to not using certs." im sure thats spam. correct me if im wrong. it has nothing to do with the topic on hand. let me remind u what it is. discussion about those who still gather their own stuff instead of using g/e, taking their leisure time and not rushing, like most others do.

agreed. its not really a fair race if u play at different times for different periods of time. then its basically who can stay on longer (as in whole doesnt go to school, work, sleep, etc.) will win.

gold sells. period. idk wut world ur on but it sells. i agree with u on the money lost, but the charos ring activated lowers delivery cost to 3. which is pretty good. 25 gold per trip. i can spare 1.5k. no biggie. and arzinian mines dont cost glories since u cant edit posts and quote, i agree with whoever posted above me. mining isnt a big money making skill. its actually a rather "lame" skill. after i get 99 mining ill prob never mine again. i just want 99 mining cuz i love mining, its very entertaining to me (i kno im weird ive heard it from my clanmates too), and it takes the longest to get 99 in.

well u can play non stop even if u wake up at 12. i have schoo, dont get home till 2:45, and i play 1 hr at best, then do hw. then mayb more if im lucky.

ergo keeps def noobs (with bandos, etc) from just tanking it. black armor def is terrible, so it actually makes u bring an inventory.

actually, not many people have gotten a champion challenge. id b surprised if even sum1 in the top 100 actually got one. theyre supposed to be rarer drops than the rarest drop out there (at the moment the sigils to be used on the spirit sheilds). and a RoW doesnt help either. ur supposed to kill many (and i mean many) of a race of monsters to get a challenge, but saradomin knows how many it takes. im guessing a lot. as in mayb even 10k+ of something.
