  1. As I said in my last post, you can vote multiple times on the same game. If you ask me, it's properly Jagex who's tampering with votes since they seem to be the only company desperate to win that award. This is probably true. If it is, someone should make a macro that votes against Jagex continuously. What's the worst they can do? Report us for botting?
  2. What makes you think that jagex will actually ban the account? The fact that they ban most bots This made me smile. Because you know it's not true.
  3. NJ is getting pounded HARD.
  4. In about an hour NJ will get pounded.
  5. And what if 2+ players answer at the same time? You can't seriously use the chat box order to determine who wins if both messages pop up above their heads at exactly the same time.
  6. I might have to attend. There's always room in the bank for free stuff. What are the limitations of the trivia questions? Is there a set category like RS trivia? Or does it cover all real world topics as well?
  7. Sure, not a problem. But I'm throwing this out here this early just so people know it's there and, if they wish, preparing early.
  8. Description: Santas invade World 7 on Christmas Day to hand out gifts to people! Date: 12/25/2011 Time: Start at ideally 10 AM US EST (GMT -5), lasts all day World: 7 (F2P) Location: Meet at Varrock Square, make our way to Lumbridge, and then we scatter all over the F2P world RSN: Atom Smash40 Contact info: PM on TIF or post in this thread I thought of this great idea and I hope I get many volunteers to partake. It involves dressing up in a Santa suit and Santa hat (if you have one). What I want to do is run around F2P World 7 and hand out freebies to newbs (note the spelling, not n00bs). Basically, I would like to find low leveled, new players (levels 3-10) that have just started to play RS and need a little boost. I've prepared an inventory with newbie starter gear: *ignore the Rune armor sets at the bottom* Note that I have enough supplies for 450 handouts that go as follow: Should the newbie wish to become a melee-based player: 1x Iron armour set (lg) 1x Iron scimitar 1x Iron battleaxe 1x Iron 2h sword 1x Leather gloves 1x Leather boots If they want to be a ranger: 1x Leather cowl 1x Leather body 1x Leather chaps 1x Leather vambraces 1x Shortbow 500x Iron arrow 1x Leather boots If they want to be a mage: 1x Wizard hat 1x Wizard robe 1x Blue skirt 1x Air staff 350x Mind rune 80x Water rune 180x Earth rune 300x Fire rune *enough runes for casts to get them to at least 17 magic* 1x Leather gloves 1x Leather boots Now you may be asking, "What about the noobs who beg or ask for stuff"? Well, there is only one rule for this event: Do not give stuff out to those who ASK. Unfortunately, this will be harder than it seems as 90% of F2P is bots, 9% are beggars, and 1% actually just wanna play. I don't expect to hand out every single item, and that's OK. I can save them for next Christmas if I need to. Now here is what I would like of you, the participants: You don't have to be as thorough as me in what is handed out; you can decide to only hand out weapons or raw materials. I'd prefer if you didn't hand out straight cash as my goal is to encourage the new players to USE their newly received gear and not sell it for money. Unfortunately, most likely 80% of those receiving the free gear will end up just selling it. Their loss. What they do after they receive their gifts is out of my control. NOTE: I am asking you to do this out of the kindness of your heart and to keep the game of RS alive. If you cannot afford to give away things, then don't sign up. You can tag along and watch, though. I'm am also not asking you to make your inventory the same as mine. In case you were wondering, my inventory sans the Rune armour sets values at over 2.5M. I can afford to give out such gifts. If you cannot or don't want to, but still want to give SOMETHING away, then you can give away what you think a newbie would find useful. The goal of this is not to give them a massive 50k bank (the max given away in a single trade will not be more than 10,000gp. If it is, it won't be by much) off the start of the game. I really don't want to be the only one doing this (from tip.it, anyway) on Christmas Day. And if for some reason I cannot be on Christmas day for a prolonged period of time to hand out these gifts, I WILL give them to someone who can spare the time. Thanks for reading. 9. Cummina diesel...good [cabbage]. I saw a Pontiac G5 today, thought at first it was a Cobalt. Technically it is, just rebadged with different tail lights. If I had the money, I'd buy a Cobalt SS/TC and convert the look into a G5. It's a shame Pontiac went under, the G8 GXP was just the thing they needed to get back in the game...sadly, it was too little too late.
  10. Need moar traffic on the RSOF thread!!!!
  11. Don't you DARE get 99 before telling me (send a PM). I WANT TO BE THERE.
  12. Support. I like this idea instead of trade spamming.
  13. I can see where you are coming from; Seers used to be a skilling hub and Falador used to be where merchants would peddle their wrares. I too miss the old RS where nothing was done for you and if you needed some obscure item for a quest you most likely needed to make it yourself. However, I can't imagine an RS without a central GE being fun. Making the GE "globalized" just admits that the game has become an efficiency grind and the only purpose is to do things in the quickest manner possible in order to reach 99 as soon as possible.
  14. I think the reason for not making the GE more universal is that beside being a central trading hub, the GE is also a social location where new RS friendships can be formed. If one could access all the features of the GE from anywhere in the RS world, that defeats the purpose of interacting with your fellow player.
  15. As they should have. Even if you are legit, it's still shady as [bleep]. I used to host a legit flower game but I stopped because I didn't feel like risking my account getting reported by random bystanders even though I was paying out when the player won just because those bystanders had bad experiences with scam flower games.
  16. How about just bringing back old randoms? To be honest it didn't take much for a player to avoid them, and if they got you (like assploding rock), it was a minor inconvenience. People complained, but if you got hit by a Tree spirit (Level - 108) and got killed, then it's your fault for not paying attention.
  17. So I'm stuck in F2P purgatory for an indefinite amount of time with a Santa suit on and I got thinking, we only need one more piece to complete the full outfit. We have the hat. We have the suit. But what else is Santa known to have? ... That's right, a TOY BAG. It would act as a beast of burden thing similar to the Cornucopia except it can hold up to 4 items that don't have to be food. It would act like a BoB so you can't story valuables inside, and it would take up the cape slot but require a free shield slot as when you have it equipped, your character would hold it with their left hand with the bag slinged over their left shoulder. Please support this on RSOF, QFC: 185-186-139-63141776
  18. People in California are laughing at us East Coasters right now.
  19. I will not travel the world just so I can feel an earthquake. But my point is you visit other places for pleasure, you'll have a greater chance of experiencing some sort of natural disaster whether you wanted to or not. I'm trying to say that most likely the people being interviewed have never been outside the US. Also, the people on TV came off as like "OMG I felt an earthquake for the first time! GET ON MY LEVEL!" which pisses me off even more.
  20. What I find funny is that nearly everyone any news station is interviewing is saying this is their first earthquake. And these people are in the mid to late twenties and older. GO OUT AND EXPLORE THE WORLD PEOPLE.
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8Uhn-dU3Gg Oh I remember this [cabbage]. But I remember the Obama version. "Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States, Barack... Obama Obama Obama Obama Obo-Obo-Obama."
  22. Dream Theater is probably the most known prog band. Kamelot counts too I believe. Nightwish has some progressive style songs.
  23. Most likely he's going to be a tech. And LOL VW tech.
  24. Tis all that GDP and stuff. In Taiwan, medium fries from McD's costs ~$.90 USD (conversion rate). That might seem cheap to people in the US, but it's probably somewhat "expensive" for people in Taiwan. So I'd imagine that in Qatar you'd have a hard time getting a job that pays enough to make $60k USD seem cheap.
