  1. Maybe just not rigorously fletching while stunned.
  2. 315 SPIRIT TREE SEEDS?!?!? AM I SEEING THIS CORRECTLY USE THOSE ASAP
  3. In trouble for making a joke on the internet? Dat watchdog government. Srsly tho it was clearly just a joke.
  4. Finally got around to finishing this off. Was at 190m+ wc xp for over a year, I believe, lmao. :-D Some funny PMs:
  5. I understand Yoko's point, and I also view buying spins/altscaping along the same lines as Mere does (cheating). It's really quite ridiculous that Jagex let itrolledu get millions of slay xp/hr @ KK with his clan/stream slaves the way he did. It should have been nerfed RIGHT AWAY. There are so many things wrong with Jagex today tbh it's not even funny. Look at yesterday's release of legacy... Godswords and chaotic maul outdps drygores, polypore/chaotic staff outdps seismics, royal cbow > ascensions. Accidental huge buffs to most PvM bosses to the point where they are barely doable with t90 armor. Such a gloriously broken update. Their incompetence combined with their inability to quickly respond to broken XP methods that EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT makes me so mad. Not to mention their condoning RWT like Yoko said which enables players like Fors to exist.
  6. I believe that's me there with you at crystal trees, lawl. Grats on 60m in the lossless buyable sad excuse for a skill.
  7. To echo what guy0ne106 said a couple pages back, the only vaguely competitive aspect of the last few years of RS has been how hard you can abuse the broken or overpowered XP or GP methods while they still exist or are legal. Examples: - AFK barraging dags before aggro range severe nerf - barraging abyss before AOE spells were heavily nerfed (alongside daily slaying abyssal demons w/ mask and barrage, was ~260k slay xp/hr self tested at the time) - kalphite king slaying with a bunch of Twitch stream slaves (1mil+ slay xp/hr, still possible) - general ridiculous minigame BXP accumulation - dice hosting I'm sure you guys can think of many others since I wasn't playing RS3 for most of 2013/2014. It's not totally just a recent thing either; SUOMI and many others suckled at the teat of effigyscape by cannoning cave crawlers. This is all totally ignoring RWTscape of course, where like someone else said XP is being shoved down the throats of RWTers during Prismania weekends... Anyway, huge props to Drumgun for being 2nd person to 200m all.
  8. No comment on the "i'll own you irl" at the end? I highly doubt the mute was just because saru called them "black'... True, guess I forgot Jagex can't into sarcasm.
  9. He probably gets it from daily challenges, not sure. Better to do sinkholes and use dailies on rc, though (the most efficient daily skill last I checked).
  10. Some crazy mutes there. Back in the pre-2009 era, Jagex's willingness to mute was much higher than it is now. Looks like in the second pic you were muted for calling someone black even though it looks like "black" was part of their RSN.
  11. Am I being slow or is 53 hp really low for having 75 str? How is da hp so low?
  12. FYI the 60k number you see on RS3 home page includes the 20k you see on OSRS home page, so actually there's 40k to 20k, not 60k to 20k players. I might be wrong about this, correct me if so. It's just what I've been told by others. Like the poster above me said in more words, Jagex is more concerned about getting more money out of the players they already have than attracting new players who are mostly only willing to pay a measly monthly subscription of $6 or $7/mo.
  13. Fair warning about Roger Al, he's only going to be at 100m-ish farming xp when he maxes every other skill. Edit: here are the xp rates I use in my calculator. I'm sure a lot of them are outdated so please leave feedback. Also it looks like I hacked together a solution for curly roots. It seems pretty accurate but it made everything a little messy. I'll have to make a newer, cleaner version at some point. skill xp rate daily xp rate daily xp attack 440000 0 0 defense 600000 0 0 strength 440000 0 0 ranged 400000 0 0 prayer 1100000 0 0 magic 600000 0 0 cooking 804000 0 0 woodcutting 170000 240000 40000 fletching 700000 0 0 fishing 140000 0 0 firemaking 350000 2418461.5 1310000 crafting 700000 0 0 mining 110000 1400000 363862.5 smithing 246000 1400000 363863.5 herblore 740000 1400000 363864.5 agility 200000000 0 0 thieving 300000 0 0 slayer 130000 0 0 farming 64000 1400000 363864.5 runecrafting 130000 0 0 hunter 350000 0 0 construction 850000 1400000 363864.5 summoning 5000000 0 0 dungeoneering 600000 2400000 200000 divination 95000 0 0 unless something changed since I did con in august last year, it's at least 880k xp/h without any bonuses not that it'll actually affect times much at all 880k is basically maximum tryhard speed... at least it was in 2011 when I did it: so 850k is pretty fair imo
  14. What is the meaning of this asterisk you speak of?
  15. I stopped caring about ranks when I realized people with no work/schooling/other responsibilities are by default "better" at RS than those who can't play as much. Yes, efficiency does play a large and very significant role in how quickly you progress in RS - just look at people who do bonfire firemaking or curly roots instead of daily book of char, they are wasting hundreds of hours - but overall it is definitely more about how much time you can sink into it. And having the time to play as much as Drumgun does does not equal skill and, in my opinion, is not admirable. Neither is buying spins oops I mean keys. TL;DR: Any conception of Runescape "competition" is laughable. Nevertheless, the relentless dedication exhibited by the top players in different ways (buying keys, refusing to buy keys, having 10 warband alts, having one or more 07rs accounts to camp abby demons on and transfer GP to RS3, refusing to play more than one account at a time, etc.) is pretty interesting and fun to watch. Personally, back when I still enjoyed RS3, I played OSRS and RS3 at the same time but never transferred any GP. And @Paperbag, I feel for you, silverhawk boots are one of the worst additions to the game ever. In your boots (lol jokes), I would be furious at Jagex if I got 200m agi the "legitimate" way and then they released SH boots. But it's up to you how you respond to it. I guess you can either accept it and hope Jagex doesn't completely break any more skills or quit.
  16. Quoted Post Removed ~Randox Wow, lol. You shouldn't be attacking other people in this thread (or any thread). Calm down... Also yeah, Crystalfarm has been pretty high xp for many years now, don't know much about him apart from his funny Runescape "noob rant" YouTube videos: And killerjv is a pmod, which is interesting, I suppose. I don't know how many of the other top players are pmods. Anyone know?
  17. No, many of the posters above you also believe sc abuse and buying xp is cheating. However, I assume that is not what you meant to say (double negative). Yes, many believe sc abuse is fine, and others further believe buying xp is fine. You aren't alone, don't worry. :P
  18. They shouldn't. No regular player would get their items back, top 15 players shouldn't get special privileges. Incase you wasn't aware, they tried out a thing where they refunded hijacked accounts items, for a while, but something went wrong and they put a few million too many archer rings on some guys acc and it made them crash. So it's not special privileges, just a new thing they have been trying out, if someone gets hijacked for all their shit they deserve to get it given back, regardless of if they're top 15 or top 150,000 No they do not "deserve to get it given back". I'm sorry but keeping your account secure is very simple. I've been playing for 8 years or so and i've never had anyone access my account unless i allowed it. You can't try and say that it's because i'm not "known" enough because enough of the "wrong kind of people" knew who i was when staking was still big and stakers still sold a lot. It sucks that he got hacked, but if you're going to be careless (even though you're unaware that you're being so), then you have to expect that it's going to happen at some point. It's not that hard to keep things secure. There are often circumstances beyond a person's control. Yes, I'd wager that >95% of people who get "hacked" can be fairly blamed, but it'd be really short sighted to always blame the victim for not somehow protecting themselves, especially in situations where such protection might not have prevented the "hack" anyway (as perhaps was the case in Gunnar's situation). Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean you're doing anything more special or correct than everyone else. Try to be more empathetic.
  19. For a little more info on this if anyone's curious: http://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/26k2ry/runescape_and_maplestory_same_owners_same_outcome/ I'm not OP of that thread, just remember reading it ~10 days ago. And Dragonseance's new RSN is "big boy haci" apparently named by and after the person/people who "hacked" him. (Source: the HLF thread)
  20. No. They had high slash defense. Everything else was low. If I recall correctly, sara sword on crush still outperformed the chaotic rapier (and chaotic maul, for that matter). However, goliath gloves from dominion tower were better than sara sword, i.e., goliath > sara sword > zspear. Also, OP, prayer pots are hella cheap in eoc and combat stat boosting prayers are absolutely worth using, even for poorer folk. You should buy back some prayer potions and always use them during combat.
  21. Lucky. :D I only got the abyssal demon one from free spins (which at least is the best one I think).
