Interesting blog, I'm very excited to make an ironman account as well. However, I've entirely quit my main (stats in sig) due to boredom and not feeling like XP means much anymore. I have two monitors and like to Netflix while I scape, and I played OSRS and RS3 simultaneously for several months so I know how multitasking is. I find altscaping annoying though - I miss when it was expected that most people earned all their money on one account. I don't want to play other accounts just to fund buyables on my main. -__- I only multilogged OSRS/RS3 cuz I enjoyed OSRS by itself.

Jeez this thread died even though two more people passed up SUOMI (dseance and some guy named yoo). I guess the social commentary to take away from this is that most people don't really care about the top ranks anymore, perhaps because of how devalued XP has become and how jaded treasure hunter has caused everyone to be in regards to respectable achievements in RS. Or not. Idk, not trying to be uber deep, just weird that this thread got super slow. Anyone know who'll win between Jdela and Alkan to 5b/5.2bil? Jdela has some of the slowest skills left. As for range XP from 200m slay, that's highly variable. It is definitely meleescape right now since the melee basics and thresholds are stronger all around than range/mage. People are even starting to prefer melee @ araxxor because of that, even though tactics-wise he's probably easier to handle with ranged/magic. lol suomi got 420 xp

^ Not sure if you actually did KQ pre-EOC, cuz she is WAYYYYYYY easier now, I can do many, many kills per trip whereas 2 was really pushing it before EOC. At exiled KQ, I use drygores first phase, noxious staff w/ fire surge second phase.

Jeez, it may be worth it to train slayer to like 50 beforehand then? Low combat level slayer sounds fun to me. I could go test it now, but I'm curious whether legacy is OP at low levels or not considering how few abilities are available at low combat skill levels. What was your experience?

I'll be making a hypothetical list when I get home from vacation (on my blog probably since it's a goal of mine to attempt) but it's roughly the same as my previous list, div first as it just helps with all skills How does div help skills for an ironman beyond the porters that bank fish/drops for you? And @Licert, I think dg would be incredibly useful as a first 99, or at least 80+ skill, yup. Easy t80 weps for all 3 styles. Quests would all be easy with chaotics. What should an ironman acc use their XP lamps/BXP rewards on, considering that one wouldn't really think of skills in terms of gp/xp anymore? Maybe prayer?

I personally still pay my mems with RL money so I'm not totally on board with that idea, but since I think majority of DIYers would agree I'd be willing to go along with it and pay more. On topic, I wonder if anyone will go for 200m all in ironman lol. I think the best order to do skills would be dg to 99, then a lot of quests, fish/cook for food, mix of slayer/farming, then anything you want after that. For MTK, 10 on maples, 5 on herbs I think would be ideal? Divination will be kind of a really pointless skill, even moreso than it is for regular accounts. Get 91 rc with runespan, 99 rc with double nats and pess drops from slayer (hopefully they don't nerf that too much with the "valuable runes" update), LRC mine to 99 mining with superheating, maybe bank bars. Not sure how to go about crafting. Oh, porters that bank dragonhide drops for you from Divination would actually be very useful. Construction won't be too bad with that plank guy RIGHT by the POH portal in taverley now.

Good post, I agree. Although the bonus xp/hr from BA was/is a little overpowered, it was obviously nothing compared to the insanity of silverhawk boots. Agility should just be removed from the game now lol it's so retarded.

Except then they'd have to rebalance construction and summoning and all the other GP black hole skills/methods as well. Best to leave alching as it is and try to find a balance with future GP sink updates.

Eoc is better than legacy everywhere, unfortunately. I use legacy at low hp tasks though, namely hellhounds and mutated jadinkos. I can get about 55 mutated jadinko kills in 1 ovl dose with revolution, and about 47-50 with legacy (drygores). Hellhounds are really nice to afk with legacy in kuradal's lair. Risky move when Fors himself is only 17 lol :P And you say you ignore spin buyers and just play how you want to, but unfortunately microtransactions have a significant effect on the economy just like bots do so you are affected by it regardless. Just sayin'. I agree with your stance, though. I don't buy anything except my ~$6/mo membership, a payment I refuse to alternatively pay with bonds, thereby support the RWT infrastructure (another player paid RL money to sell me the bond in the first place). I understand this might be hypocritical to some of you (I'm paying RL money for membership which is, in a sense, RWT), but meh. It makes me feel "legit" (lol 2k14rs "legit"). Also, I would ignore the troll Afrobros.
