None of those things are unique to Mod Mark, they are actually pretty common. I'm sure you and I and half the people on this forum care about RS (a lot) and play it and understand its mechanics. Mark simply isn't very strong in mechanics/metagame. I'm not convinced that he does understand the game mechanics that well if he couldn't figure out the number of effigies dropped per hour at various locations, and comparing those to skilling, and then concluding that people might go hunting for them. He was a fool if he thought people wouldn't hoard effigies to break records, given that people hoarded charms before. I think the Jmods knew what they were doing, and I think they are misguided in that this update isn't what makes the game more fun. What is incredibly annoying about Jagex is the idiotic statements/lies they make up as reasons for the update. "I wanted to combine it with something more positive" leads to early bird specials? Not to mention that "they weren't meant to be a viable levelling method" and "they weren't meant to be hoarded" are not reasons to nerf effigies - where's the love for emergent gameplay? Effigies made mithril dragons, cave crawlers and such worth hunting, and they made glacors and tormented demons awesome quest rewards - they are now virtually useless because the no-quest-required Nex and Dagannoth Kings are better. The two great strengths of effigies - they must be kept in your bank with endless patience to get the most out of them, and they reward balanced skilling, are completely ignored. The removal of F2P hiscores with the argument "To keep them fresh. We want the hiscores to feature players who will compete with each other, tooth and nail, for hiscore glory." (*cough* 200m xp cap *cough*). I believe the argumentation for nerfing the Flash Powder factory was based on "We didn't want it to be the best xp in agility." so they nerfed it to be worse than any other course. The list goes on. I stand by my claim that Jagex does not understand their games metagame, and they do not care for it. Just wanted to post and say I agree 100% and feel strongly about the newfound worthlessness of glacors and crawlers. It's also disappointing how empty slayer feels as a skill now. Jagex is absolutely pathetic in this instance for not understanding how effigies would affect the game and taking 2 years to implement a nerf.

The fact of the matter is that 200m in a slow skill requires zero actual skill, just a TON of time, mild effort, and a lot of brainless dedication, which is something only a select few can muster. Jd may or may not be able to withstand that horrible grind, who knows.

I got 880k con xp/hour using AHK, 900k is possible if you can pay butler and unnote planks extremely quickly

no idea, it's a complete waste of time, effort, and is completely unenjoyable in every way I just play without questioning it, if I really hated it I wouldn't log on I watch movies, TV shows, read, do schoolwork (university), etc. all the time while I play which is probably why I can stand the mindless horse shit I play like 10 hours a day :thumbup:

Yeah it seems to be working again now. This morning both swiftkit and the RS client were being stupid and not getting smaller at all. buying option to get rid of that obnoxious toolbar on top of the game tho

resizeable runescape doesn't work anymore on any client/browser :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

You can no longer resize the Runescape window any smaller than its default in resizeable using either SwiftKit or the RS client. This is incredibly annoying. Efficient skilling just got quite a bit harder (any skill where you click, drop, click, drop, like mining, fishing, woodcutting, etc.) especially if you want to watch a movie/TV show at the same time. wish they'd just leave well enough alone and stop [bleep]ing shit up royally and dramatically for no reason

Clearly game ticks are more important than anything, and soon enough all of humanity will consider XP to be the only thing worth thinking about, happiness will become irrelevant. It'll be utopia.

That's exactly how I type as well. I think it may stem from the fact that I played a lot of WASD (default arrow keys in most games) controlled computer games, so I'm used to using my left hand in that way, but my right hand is conditioned to use my mouse more than the keyboard. oh and I got a 92

my GPU was like nope, it was really funny, I started getting rainbow colors on everything, very trippy stuff and yeah that halloween event comp cape requirement is SOOOOO ridiculous. :thumbdown:

yeah just do ZMI, it's still fairly profitable and runecrafting for money is not a good idea anymore, combat is a much better moneymaker than any skilling methods

I remember talking about this in that 200m skills thread :^_^: SUOMI says he doesn't live off his parents' money or government welfare even though he plays Runescape 14-18 hours a day, so I guess in his case he's not being a drain on society. Who are we to criticize how he spends his free time? But there are lots of MMO addicts out there (know some personally) who are extremely addicted to whatever games they're playing. They end up living in their parents' house well into their 20's without ever seeking a job or entering any form of education. That's what I would define as a leech, and that's why it was brought up in the 200m XP in all skills thread.
