Combat Stats - Critical?
A critical hit made with an autoattack deals 25% more damage (even though Jagex states it's 50% more damage, tests don't appear to indicate that), while a critical hit made with an ability deals the ability's maximum damage.

Combat Stats - Critical?
Chance of landing a critical hit with an autoattack or ability. You can get more by getting a comp cape :P

How did you send out a triple 5800 voyage not at 100%, with all the deck items, hulls and crew you've bought? Were they tied up elsewhere? I'm not too keen on building the warehouse (though I probably will at some later point) because it's a 5% boost to jade for 4000 jade ... which means it only repays itself after you've earned 80k jade. Unless you're in it just for the port score, of course, but I'd rather get the luxurious bar first.

Elite desert task speculation?
Don't think previous sunfreet kills should count, since for the majority of people they were pre-eoc. Not exactly fair. Isn't post-EoC Sunfreet supposed to be even easier? After this rebalancing, it'll probably only be doable with chaotics, though from the look of it it is quite a bit easier. Wasn't it some kind of looming death, relentless murder-king before EoC? 80 dg requirement doesn't sound so bad. It's still looming death and murder when it's airborne, though that's arguably the easiest part of it :P Given the definite accuracy improvements we've got now, as well as stuff like reflect/resonance, compared to the old strategy of trying to punch-with-goliaths-until-defence-drops-to-nothing, Sunfreet looks to be far more manageable now, as long as you've got necessary gear.

I have found Sea witches to be extremely usefull, not sure about jade golems dont have any so far. Judges are kickass haha Regarding the pincers having 1200 base stat crew, seems a little low doesnt it? I mean, at this rate crew will be lvl 10 by the time I hit the pincers and will outclass them by far :P That may be true, but the same has been true (to varying degrees) of every region. We always had to get new crew to lvl 3-4 to outclass high lvl prior crew but in the end its worth it as they trump people. Think it's just a case moving into pincer particularly to like get 1 of each (replacing the weakest you have) then once they have a few levels and outclass some more folks get another set and so on and so forth. That way you avoid denting your possible scores too heavily in 1 swoop, but equally future proof the crew. Don't forget that crew level even faster as you travel further east - one Scythe voyage gives enough XP to take a crewman from level 0 to 2 and a Bowl voyage takes a crewman from level 0 to 3. Investing in the new crew will definitely be worthwhile, and your first voyage into the region will be easy enough to let you sneak your level 0 crew on.

You need 3450 speed to cap the trade goods/scroll voyages in the Pincers to 13:02, but you can get this with the steel rudder (1800), a steel hull (600), a decently levelled 10k captain (600), and a Judge of Dice (500). So yeah, speed crew have basically been pretty much useless throughout this whole game. However, you could consider using them temporarily just to cap out voyages before buying the hull/rudder, in the easier missions where you can afford the crew slot. EDIT : It is quickly becoming apparent that with four ships, sending out difficult voyages (360 jade) at good completion rates is extremely difficult. Probably going to have to invest in at least 6 of each specific crew member, and somehow squeeze in the more powerful/multistat units (Judges, Sea Witch, Golem) in that mess. Might have to forgo the merchant :\

Sadly what I've posted is probably correct, judging by the people on RSOF who can't do jack squat to a Steel dragon because they're using master wands lol (tier 55? vs tier 76) The problem is that combat effectiveness is really too gear centric now and there's not enough emphasis on base levels. It was good to make the curve exponential, because linear growth would severely hamper equipment at tier 90+ (900 accuracy vs 800 accuracy is a miserable 12.5% boost), but currently there's not enough base level usage in calculations and the exponential growth rate is quite harsh.

Tetsu's great for fashionscaping though I initially set focus for the sea singer stuff because I wanted to sell it to MHers but after I realised how slow the gathering was going to be I decided to get fashionscape gear first. But imo the crit scrimshaws aren't that great.

The exponential scaling basically makes it much harder to hit something with gear below its tier. Without considering weakness/typing, a level 60 weapon versus level 80 gear used to be an accuracy of 600 versus and armour of probably 800~, now it's 903 versus 3043~ which is a massive difference.

Q
I have two bureaucrats and two judges, so going to need to fire those guys (or promote them to judges somehow :D) All the voyages are killing me now though @@@@ have to level up my guys on low level story missions. The interesting part about crew levelling is that their first voyage really rockets them through the levels, with or without Lotus Tint Specs: For a Scythe voyage, your crew progress from 0 to 2. For a Bowl voyage, your crew progress from 0 to 3. That's with or without the specs, so the levelling curve must be something extremely progressive. Also, just for fun, noticed that Judge of Dice seems to be some sort of administrator/bureaucrat-type position in the Eastern Lands: Scythe - The Convict has been informed that a rare piece of a forgotten scroll is being sold off in an underground auction by Aloft Dagger's Judge of Dice. Help him raid the vault - where it's being stored - to claim it. His skills will prove vital for success. EDIT : First Bowl voyage took a new Jade Golem from level 0 to 3, second Bowl voyage took it to level 4.
