  1. Well, to be technical, matter is being destroyed. The important part is that energy is created in equal proportion. To return to the ice analogy, if we start with 10 pounds of ice and 5 melts; yes we have "destroyed" 5 pounds of ice, but we have "created" 5 pounds of water. Of course 1gram of matter into however many joules isnt as clear, but its still conservation of stuff.
  2. After completing all fired up for the fire ring I read a little more and saw there is experience giving for lighting each beacon and bonus experience for the total number you light. Now my question is could someone with 69-75 firemaking(levels im doing) train more effectively then normal by lighting the first six beacons, lighting some lines in edgeville while they burn down then relighting them? There are three factors that I need to work in my favor for this to be effective a. using a war tortoise would allow 46 slots, tinderbox+40 logs+5 energy restore things; what minimum logs would I need to get all 6 beacons lit without giving 5 to the guards. Also, what would be the best route using teleports for this purpose? b. Is this actually going to be more experience per hour then just burning maple logs? c. Im not sure how the bonus experience works, if I light 6 then relight the first beacon when it burns out do I get experience for lighting 6 or what? If I have to let all 6 beacons burn down, then I would be burning lines of maples in edgeville above the ge(wild ditch) between runs. Thanks for any help, would be fascinating if this was a good way to train fm
  3. If your just looking for xp spiders are good.
  4. matter-antimatter annihilation, nuclear fission and nuclear fusion all destroy matter. e=m(c^2) matter and energy are the same thing in different forms. If you had ice and it melted into water you wouldnt say the ice was destroyed. When matter and antimatter colide the mass turns into energy; one thing science is looking for is a way to do the reverse and create particles out of energy.
  5. This is much different though, there isnt a target group and if the flu becomes a plague its going to be harming everybody. Noone has a reason to not stop the swine flu, so it will be dealt with.
  6. Too much power consumption, plus we will need training just to learn how to fire the thing and to aim correctly. I do believe at long distances the projectile has a 1+ minute flight time, so we will need to factor in everything. It's just ineffective with a limited power supply (especially if we have to generate our own electricity. Otherwise I would have posted it ages ago when my friend was talking about the one he was building. Oh I know its not practical. I just think its pretty awsome, is all. If we ever want to overkill something really badly, we use this. At all other times, we stay well away. [/hide] Maybe if you could load an explosive into it... Took this long to finally look at this thread  Welcome to the club, friend. Try not to let our COMPLETE AND UTTER INSANITY drive you away. Its now like, the second or third biggest thread in off topic, correct? Makes you think, doesn't it? well when you think about it things in order of importance 1. breathing 2. water/food 3. shelter 4. survival When you think about it a discussion on breathing isnt really interesting. We can talk about food and our houses so the 3rd most important thread would be about survival AKA planning for zombies.
  7. I wouldnt be surprised is pro government "protestors" were actually military
  8. hardly In a riot of that scale, a few casualties, while tragic, arent entirely unexpected.
  9. [hide=] Trust me, that's not the case. I agree though, it is the extremist/fundamentalist Muslim movement that has caused all this. So it's all down to Islam while America is scot free? Rather biased view, both sides are quite to blame. Don't argue with him, he's Jewish. That wasn't funny at all....if anything it's pretty anti-Semitic. Nice one anyway adding intelligent debate to the topic. I don't mind at all. Don't worry, it's a misunderstanding. I was saying our Gods are absolutely nothing alike. I do totally back Israel, though, and no, the Israelis/Jews aren't to blame. They were invaded almost immediately after (legally) declaring independence. [/hide] I think it largely depends on who was in charge of arranging the whole lets give the jews a country program. Although it seemed like a good gesture to give israel the holy land, its obvious this wasn't thought through properly. Looking online, Israel is a little bigger then the state of new jersey; point being its quite reasonable to assume america and canada could have given up area around oregon/washington/canadian province thats over there. While I hate to come close to justifying acts against israel, its creation was functionally an invasion of middle eastern lands. While fault of the islamic community increases as we move away from israel being new, at the beginning it was more of a western fault that caused a large amount of the current problems.
  10. Do you even realize how many MORE people would die if we did that? Without nuclear weapons a full scale war between major superpowers would again be possible. The prospect of nukes is probably the biggest peacekeeper on earth. You do realize he was being facetious. It would be funny though, imagine what kind of tactics we would develop if we had to go back to pre gunpowder technology. On the bright side, reporters could actually film the entire battle for the historical record
  11. Yes, lets deal with the government hostile to the US by intervening with spontaneous assassinations, Im sure that has no potential to cause a backlash ten times worse then Iraq.
  12. yeah 5 minutes isnt long enough for a good test I would think void has the best maximum potential, but im not sure what is going to do the best when you arent training at 100% focus.
  13. Best of luck to humanity and iran, all I can say I am sure of here.
  14. yeah its supposed to heal 10hp and 5pray points even on a 0
  15. I have a decent amount of experience at aviansie, prayer and tanking method but I have been considering a new option as my stats improved. If I got my defense to 85 and noting that I will have enchanted excalibur and bunyips, would it be possible to tank aviansie using full void and a dfs? Secondly, what items would I wear to grant protection from armadyl and zamorak followers? Finally, is tanking in full void more effective then tanking in regular tanking gear for aviansie? edit--range level 89
  16. Child molestation. America is a land of homosexual cowardly men! / Hello America, I am Osama and will bomb you again tomorrow! Your face looks like Rosie O'Donald's butt. -- We're gonna have to find better definitions for curse/swear words it seems. : [/hide] I don't get it.. He proved all of those definitions were not effective.
  17. knives or darts are okay for monsters like yaks that have little to no defense for slayer you are going to be fighting monsters that have fairly good defense so you need to stick with the rune cbow and broad bolts. If your sticking to mithril knives are probably your best bet, the bolts are just too weak.
  18. maple long bows barker toad pouches two things that I know of that you can naturally get from skilling
  19. I think all the normal things are covered but I do have one interesting idea when killing steel dragons you could use a pack yak to store the steel bar drops as you go; remove them for any more valuble drops and add them as you remove potions from the yak. This would especially be considerable if you killed mithril dragons.
  20. That was my main concern with any fence toppers we use, if they arent going to do deep damage or stick up the zombies in the case of [bleep]es they arent useful; of course if we had some razor wire on hand no reason not to use it.
  21. jellies and turoths are both pretty high drop rate for lvl 3 clues
  22. I dont think barbwired is going to do that much damage; I mean its going to rip a human up pretty bad but I dont see it doing "structural" damage. Also, if its a large group of zombies the barbwire is going to be torn down after the first through zombies collpase through it.

  24. It's against the rules so you shouldn't.
  25. Ah, thats a lot different. You should look into panspermia, thats an amusing theory that isnt the primordial soup.
