Squeal of Fortune "Updates" was: Spin Results (970 spins)
Facebook says no. So they're here until the end of September, not after this weekend. That's why I asked.

Botany Bay BTS Vid.
You're late. We get accused every day by random levels who are angry about losing the current round.Nobody ever seems to complain about us when the team is winning, mind. :P

Squeal of Fortune "Updates" was: Spin Results (970 spins)
So are these shards going to be on the wheel from now on? If so, Queen's Guard / Dragon Cere might become even more rare than it already is.

This has gone too far (avatars).
It's been possible to be "naked" ever snce the vast color pallette was added. Not really new. In higher detail you can see the cloth textures more clear, but in lower non-textured graphic settings it does look like you have no clothes on.

05 Sept 2012 - GWD Remastered
Just got around to checking the GWD today and I have to say they did a stunning job with the place. Looks truly marvelous. Very pleased with it.

Bah. What is this nonsense. Jagex doesn't sell gp so this must be fake.

People actually put legit information as recovery answers? Interesting.

Yep. Jagex posted about it as well.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
I glitched upon logging into beta on my ftp account, without importing save. Appeared in a house that come to think of it did look a lot like it was starting location on Tut. Island, had no tabs to open at all (all blanked out and empty) no log out button when I pressed the little 'x' or no life/prayer/summ. icons near map. Then my browser crashed and when I logged back in next time was in normal lumby getting to choose my appearance from the pre-set builds. Same happened to me.

My charges are back as well. Glad it got fixed.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
I tried doing the Blood Pact on a fresh account. Didn't get the Troll Warzone tutorial as it was a F2P account. Was impossible to kill the first guy with bare fists. The npc's in the quests are impossible without weaponry, but a joke if you have a weapon.

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
Aside from making my time spent feel wasted to an extent, no. You could argue that more high levels = more competition at higher-end content like Bossing. That would then have an effect on the rest of the playerbase. What I'm trying to get at with all this is the same as Myr. Mod MMG's post comes across as "Jagex don't believe in selling gold, xp or accounts because it's bad for the game." when they are selling XP through SoF at predictable rates. I never understood why it being directly selling xp or not was brought up. It's still selling xp. Being a metagamer who looks into the SoF rates shouldn't make a difference either. All I did was log my SoF loot the same way as monster drops and I have gotten a fairly accurate average. Jagex are selling xp, whether Mod MMG believes so or not.

I just realized this was posted on a Saturday. Have we ever had BTS newsposts on Saturdays before? Not complaining, just surprised it wasn't postponed until Monday like usual.

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
Is there actual proof of this? Not doubting you, just amazed that anyone would be that nuts. I understand why players might want to spend some disposable income to save themselves some grinding time, but that amount is basically beyond the pale. I can't confirm if it's true or not. All I know about it is a while back there was a lot of talk about someone buying 99 Slayer purely through spins. Take it with a grain of salt if you ask me. There are crazy people with too much money on their hands out there though. Buying a 99 through SoF isn't cheap, but it hasn't stopped people from doing it. I know this much. This is why I believe it to be selling exp. Be it directly or not is irrelevant. It's still selling exp.

01 Sept, 2012 - Behind the Scenes September
You might want to read the last paragraph of the post. ^ - They're still IVPex. Remember this. Looking away from all the moneygrabbing updates they will release this month. The real content shown here is making September look like one of the better months this year. I look forward to almost every update.

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
People have indeed. Scary amounts as well. A friend of mine bought his way from around 80 to 99 slayer in a matter of a week, give or take. Another person also bought enough to get 99 slayer from level 1, which turned out to be around 9000 USD. But hey, Jagex aren't selling experience so these people are surely liars. Everyone knows 1m Slayer exp per day added on to tons of exp in other skills like cooking, fishing, woodcutting, hunter, agility and so on is fully possible without effigies or soul wars.

BTS 16 - God Wars Remake (UNLISTED)!!
Have to admit, Jagex aren't the best at updating mechanics together with graphics. Expect to get that message for at least the first two weeks of the rework, if they ever fix it at all. :P

Promissory Note & Choose Your Fate rewards
I have been using my May Necklace recently doing dailies as that's the only thing I get exp from these days. Still wasn't used up. :/ Thanks for warning us Jagex, thanks a lot.

BTS 16 - God Wars Remake (UNLISTED)!!
The Karidian Desert hasn't been changed since it was texturized with RSHD I believe, so it does very much need an update. Falador and Varrock need some polishing, but Lumbridge is one of the more ok places in my opinion. Rimmington got an update with the Queen Black Dragon, but the area above Rimmington (Melzar's Maze area) should be given a small rework. Other than those comments I like your list. ^ I would love an RSHD style massive graphic update to the overworld map.

Promissory Note & Choose Your Fate rewards
Free stuff thanks. Got my note. If you haven't gotten yours yet, just sit tight. They will get around to giving you a note sooner or later. Sometimes with these distributions it takes a while before some players get it, but you will have it soon enough.

That looks amazing. Focus the graphics team on cool stuff like this and not the crappy non medieval cosmetic items please.

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
That's the thing though. You're using Jagex logic as they say the exact same thing. If I spin the wheel 100 times, I should end up with around 71k Cash, around 22 Small Lamps, Around 13 Medium Lamps and other sellable items/1-2 rare slot items in the form of Cash, Pendant or Dragon Cere. I think we've hit a wall in this discussion though. Sure, you can get more coin rewards and less lamps, but you can also get more lamps and less coins. In the end you are left with approx my statistics. They conclude it's random so it isn't selling exp, but it isn't random enough to convince me.

Mod MMG on RuneScape Micro-Payments
They allready sell XP directly, even though they say they don't. SoF Lamps are common enough to be the equivilant of selling XP. At the same time, the SoF makes it impossible for them to sell gold directly. If they did, SoF would be considered gambling and IVPex would have quite a bit of work to do to get around it. I agree with that they do sell xp and gold through the SoF. But they don't do it directly. It is always a chance of winning. Even though I dislike this, it is still not in my opinion a direct way of selling an in-game advantage. Since you actually never is guaranteed X amount of money/xp when you play on the SoF. However I agree mostly with you: If possible, I would love to see the SoF and SGS removed from the game. But I think you understand that this won't be happening now. Jagex are sticking to this now. The post MMG did still did make me feel more hopeful though. Even if we just get rid of most of the bots that would make RS way better in my opinion. I'm still adamant about the SoF being a sale for EXP. Most people seem to buy spins for the EXP, because the EXP rates through SoF Lamps is so much higher than the best methods for most in-game skills. At the start of August, my SoF log showed 1000 Coin wins as 21%, Small Lamps as 19,4%, Medium Lamps as 14% and 5000 Coins as 10%. Any items other than those had less than 5% chance of being obtained. Now at the start of September, my SoF log shows that Small Lamps are 23%, 1000 Coins is 22%, Medium Lamps are 13% and 5000 Coins are at 8%. I wouldn't be paying to further the game by buying cosmetics. I would be funding their greed and showing I support their microtransaction shops. Really? What a narrow minded approach to their business practices. I mean honestly what business isn't trying to make more money? If you go for a business degree in any school they'll tell you pretty much the motto for business if that if you aren't making money then you are doing it wrong. They allready twisted the statement "90% of all players enjoy the SoF". Whats to stop them from doing the same about SGS? I'm not being narrow-minded. I'm learning from past experiences. Sure, it's making them more money now. The question is do you want a happy community who look up to you or a cynical community who have low respect for your company. Not saying everyone has low respect, but many do.
