  1. You guys are talking about smithing/crafting being so expensive, but all skills have become more expensive by the same amount. If you wanted to raise crafting and your main method of making money was mining iron, for example, and the price of crafting doubled now, it is irrelevant because the price of mining iron doubled also so even though crafting costs way more, it doesn't really "cost" more of your time or anything, since you are making more money. There are few things that haven't gone up...most methods of making money have doubled due to the idiotic inflation from BH
  2. I agree with Me_Hate_Libs. We need much more than this for our Thanksgiving update. Jagex missed a huge opportunity here. When you finish the turkey event you should be able to craft "turkey runes" and turkey should be a new food that requires level 99 cooking and heals 30s. They could've released a whole new skill for hunting turkeys and given us different levels of turkeys to catch and then we can take the turkey feathers and make new turkey armors and weapons that hit as high as a godsword but are 1 handed and a little bit faster. They could've released something like a new turkey dungeon with turkey agility shortcuts and maybe let the higher level turkeys drop the new Turkey Runes which can be used to cast the new turkey spells that summon a turkey familiar to fight along side your current familiar. At the end of the dungeon there should be a turkey king who you need to use the turkey shield on or else he hits you for 100 damage every hit. They could make him drop turkey herbs which could be a great update to herblore and you could make a turkey potion that makes your character feel thankful for everything he has ever been given. Way to miss out on your chance to make this Thanksgiving update something it shouldve been <_<
  3. Clean_ranarr And you replace the # sign with a number.
  4. Because you'd look like a dirty, unoriginal tramp walking round the in the same outfit day after day. Get a fashion sense please. Wtf is this? My question was obviously a rhetorical question meant to prove a point... People get tired of seeing the same thing every day.
  5. Why do anything? Why spend your time on Runescape when you could spend all your time teaching yourself new things IRL? Why do you buy different clothes instead of 50 of your favorite outfit? People want to.
  6. This is incorrect. You have always been able to refill your cannon while it was firing half full.
  7. I never said that I didnt think this month wasnt worth my 6 bucks, I was just responding to when you said "have you ever realized there is more then Runescape then updates". That is what I was directing my reply to, and I just wanted to clarify the position of being angry with no updates. I wasn't necessarily talking about this specific month of updates in MY post. I also have to add that, while Jagex sometimes does not show much creative genius, they are still miles and miles ahead of Blizzard. WoW has countless problems with class design, community design, and game balance, and all they do to fix these problems is give short lived adjustments to the way some things work. For example if there is a problem with the damage being dealt by one class, they will just take certain spells and nerf/buff them. However this never changes the problem that each class goes through stages of being buffed and nerfed that become sickening to the average WoW player. Blizzard needs some creative and innovative thinking to make their game more enjoyable and present solutions that will present LONG term balance. Jagex isn't the best when it comes to this thing either (PLEASE just come up with a way to give us a fun, fair way to get level 80,90+ armor and weapons   ), but they are for sure better than Blizzard...
  8. I feel stupid for arguing with you, but have you ever realized there is more then Runescape then updates. You make it sound like updates are the only thing you're interested in, in this game. There is so much more! BTW, people with a positive attitude are also a lot happier then those with a negative attitude. You should try it sometimes. The problem is not about level of enjoyment for playing the game, but it is a question of what the hell we are paying for. If you buy Oblivion for Xbox360, it comes with a set ammount of things to do. You pay for the game, you get the game, you pay a limited amount of money, and get a limited amount of game. With a game that requires a subscription fee, you obviously are paying for more. It isn't like you can spend 30 bucks, and get to play RS for as long as you want to. You pay for it. Why? Because it is expected that more work is going to be continually put into the game. What Libs feels is that the amount of work and inginuity displayed by Jagex is rather lack-luster, and Jagex could afford to be providing a better quality of service for our continued payment for this game. Hell, Team Fortress 2 is a 20 dollar game with no monthly subscription fee, and although the team does not update it on an extremely regular basis, they have provided amazing additional content AND bugfixes to the game. For no additional money per month. A million players give Jagex 6 dollars a month and well, sometimes you just have to wonder where it all goes. Either they are profiting like bandits or they are overpaying their employees for the quality of innovative thinking.
  9. You people are still ridiculous. Overall, the exp rate for Runecrafting has not changed at all. It is still going to take the same amount of time to do. Time is the sole cause of all prices in RS. Was the rate at which 91 RCers made money based on just some magical number that came out of nowhere? No. It can all be accounted for by time. The huge profit made by 91 RCers was just an effect of them spending so much time between 44-91 RC. The price of natures was determined by how many people were training, how many people put the time in to get 91, etc etc..... All that matters is that they did not increase the exp rate or anything else of that nature...(NATURE...get it..? anyway) It is still going to take the same ammount of effort to train this skill. Now instead of being an average money making skill between 44-91, and then becoming ridiculous on the other half of your journey to 99, this ammount of "reward" is now being disbursed evenly between levels 44-99 instead of being just ridiculously rewarding after you spend a huge ammount of time getting less reward. Sure it might suck for anyone who already got 91 RC. But ummm...so? My impressions were that we all made the choice to play a game that gets updated because we like the fact that the game will constantly get better and more fun to play. I bet a lot of you 91 RCers wouldn't whine if they suddenly made one of your low skills much more rewarding to train. You can't be selfish here. This update is a great addition to those of us who havent gotten that high in RC, and it is not so great for people who are used to 2x nats. I'm not sure why you think you should matter more, the small population who did something the "old way", compared to the UNLIMITED ammount of potential players that could someday benefit from this update.
  10. You people don't understand anything. The prices in this game are all determined by how much money you can make per hour. Nats are not going to drop 50% just because more people can craft more natures. All this means is that plenty of 91+ RCers are just going to stop RCing if their profit per hour drops too low. Less RCers=Less nats=Higher nat prices. I mean, yes, this might permanently lower nat prices a little bit, but it isn't going to be by much. Look at whips. Slayer has become an unbelieveably popular skill, and now with methods like unicorn/bunyip/overdose pots, it is soooo much easier and faster to kill abbies and there are countless 85 slayers and way more servers...but whips do not continue to just plummet to the floor. They stay fairly stable due to their money making appeal at the current time. Also, two words for you guys: Guilded Altar (or maybe one word: Ectofunctus). How do you think that people felt when they were burying 100's of millions worth of dragon bones for their prayer levels, and then poof, you need like 30% as much money to get the same level. It definitely "Screwed over" the people who had already done the work, but does that mean that this update should never have happened? Does that mean this update wasn't good for the game? Should they have left prayer as being only trainable by burying 100k+ dbones? Also it appears from initial reports that the rate at which you sucessfully craft double runes is not very high at all unless you are close to the level (at least 84-86 RC for double nats at ~50% sucess rate). Before this update it was more profitable to make astrals once you could double them up. Right now its going to be better to do nats, but if a bunch of people change over it will cause a large drop in nats and a large rise in astrals and...well...you see where this is going. Eventually everything is going to balance out at a place where things remain *relatively* the same. The profit difference will probably fluctuate back and forth between astrals and nats and eventually, since you get more exp from nat crafting, it is probably going to end up being more profitable to craft astrals again. Overall, the most important thing to take note of is that the profit that you gain in your trip from 44-91 RC is now a much more rewarding and interesting experience. Nothing says "FUN" like having nothing to look forward to until you train a skill for 100s of hours....right...? Overall, the profit from 91+ RC might go down, but the profit you make from 44-91 RC is definitely going up (at least for the time being). Why is this a bad thing? New players get to have more fun with the game, and more natures can come into the game faster, from a wider source of players. All this does is encourage people to have fun playing the game instead of doing "Work" leveling.
  11. Wow, this oughta be the most [developmentally delayed]ed post I've ever read. Legit? All of his skills is legit unless botted. It's like seeing a blind leading a blind! 7/10 because I want ur WC! :) "Legit" is slang for "cool." I think thats what you are missing here...
  12. So, people are reacting pretty strangely to this. I think that some of you just need to re read the part where they said that the main point of what they did today was to see how interested people were in this. Who knows if what we do during this time will even be "permanent". Theres no reason to worry about RWT or anything like that at all.
  13. Whats the official tip.it RSC world? =)
  14. Do you wear sunglasses so you can look at yourself on the screen and not look into your webcam?
  15. ....about the bird? Bababa bird bird bird, bird is da word ba ba ba bird bird bird, bird is the word! Have you heard about the bird, everybody knows that the bird is the word.
  16. Haha...this is fascinating.
  17. If you can't afford a zammy book, then IMO there is absolutely no point in you wasting money at rock lobsters. It costs a crap ton of money and won't be worth it if you cant even make fast enough money to have a zammy god book.
  18. Great progress so far. I am also looking to max out my skills. You should add me sometime, maybe we can "race"! (I say "race" because I know you'll literally blow me out of the water)
  19. But most of these responses are coming from people such as myself, who have played for close to 8 years thus meaning on average I played 1.6 hrs per day. I mean...2 hours of a game EVERY day seems like a lot, but when you consider the fact that I played this game all through high school...it wasn uncommon for me to come home, do my homework and eat dinner by 5-6 o clock, then play 4-6 hrs of RS on every weekday. My average playtime is definitely not even over 1 hr per day these days...
  20. They mean trading as in "you kill me, I kill you" Not using the in game trade feature...
  21. 234 days? I reeeeeeallly doubt it is that low. Maybe this number only includes playtime on RS2...I would have said my play time from RSC was at least 100 days in itself.
  22. The prices on all items are rising at ridiculous rates... This means that more gp is needed to equate to the "value" of an item. This means cash is less valuable then before. Why is this happening? Because there is more cash in the system. Not really that hard to understand, people. And it is causing some serious rises in price.....something really needs to be done.
  23. Stews don't work for the rc task because to use rc pouches you need the ACTUAL level and can't use a boost. It's not to do with the diary itself, its to do with how rc pouches work So? Can I use stews/stouts or not? Edit: stews can be used for boosting He was trying to tell you that there is no reason to think that you can't stew to complete the cbow task. The task is to "make a rune crossbow" which, as people know, can be done with these temporary boosts in skills. However, if you have 71 rc and boost it to 75 rc, you are not able to use a giant pouch. This is how pouches work, it has nothing to do with the diary, the game just doesn't work that way.
  24. I am worried for some of you. I see a lot of mouse/keyboard setups that have no ergonomic comfort design to them, and also a lot of crowded small areas that would be rather akward to sit in. I hope you guys are all taking appropriate breaks during marathon gaming sessions because if you are playing RS all day in these uncomfortable setups you could be doing some permanent damage to your wrist or even more of your body. Play safely guys

If you haven't been to Pittsburgh, this would be a good reason to go. Or if you have been there, this would be a good reason to go back. Or if you live there like me, you know why other people should come here. I typically only eat healthy food, but every now and then (like tonight) I just have to have a Primanti's sandwich.
