A new rare already? And Jagex hasn't done anything?
I bet all the j mods are having a good laugh about this whole broken pic situation. I'm positive that they won't create a new rare, and if they accidentally do it will be promptly fixed. I'm not happy about the merchants that exploit the stupid, but that's just the way the world works. People are stupid/do stupid things, and others exploit them.

Did coinshare "ruin" the economy?
Well, instead of always thinking of the problems, we should be thinking about the solutions. Of course, I'm not entirely sure how big of a problem this is, approximately how many coins are being drained in whatever amount of time? I mean, if people alch enough items to bring money into the game to balance this out, then it's more of a necessary coin-sink than a problem. If it is deleting many more coins than could possibly be brought in through monster drops, alchs, and selling items to stores (who does that anymore?), then it is a problem. Compfreak, since you seem to know so much about the problem, what would you propose as a reasonable solution?

68 Summoning
Well, doing the quest would explain to you how it's trained pretty easily, but basically you just make pouches from empty pouches, spirit shards, charms, and secondary ingredients that vary with what you are making. The guide posted above is pretty good, and it will cost you a fairly large chunk of money considering you only get to 68 with it.

Melee Void vs Bandos
With MAXIMUM strength bonus and a godsword you would hit 35 with void, or 35 with bandos top+nottom+neitz+barrows gloves. So they are the same and I was wrong  Based on tip.its max hit calculator. Also based on the calculator your max with a whip would be 28(for either) so if tip.its calc is correct, bandos is better in any situation when you don't need magic defense, but then again, I don't remember if void melee had an accuracy bonus, if it does, then that would be better. EDIT: yes it has a 10% accuracy bonus(10% to you attack level), so you'll lose the 12 accuracy from barrows gloves and gain 10%, so you'll be hitting more often, but at the same max hit. +12 is not to percent. What he means is that you'd lose the +12 accuracy boost of barrows gloves by switching to void gloves, but then gain 10% of whatever accuracy bonus is left...I think, I'm not a void expert myself.

Feb 9 2009: The Future of Runescape
I wonder if the community events they mentioned will be something like the way funorb has modwars? Funorb's j mods seem much more in touch with the community and games of funorb than runescape's,but it might only be because it is a smaller and newer game site with less players. Overall, the future looks bright!

Why Would People Train?
Well, I sometimes find the will to grind in order to prove myself. Why just today I think I beat my friend to 80 strength (I didn't see him today, so I don't know for sure). I also just find combat in runescape fun, especially when I train slayer. I also really enjoy being able to kill new, bigger, badder monsters, so slayer is just perfect for me! On the other hand, I don't have much patience for grinding non-combat skills. -.-

New Hitpoints Bar in the making? (with picture evidence)
That hp bar definitely looks different, and it definitely looks better. This is jagex year for improving the little things after all! Now all we need is for them to make javelins a viable ranged weapon... :wall:

I got a few nice things today: My most recent combat level goal Finally! Here's a pic of me with my shiny new slayer helmet and wearing my (now) standard slayer equipment. The pics are in the order I got them, obviously.

Although I already gratzed you in person, congratulations, cry! By the way, I owe you some cakes that I forgot to bring to the party.

Fire Wave + Clay robes = High alching yews?
Well, cave slimes have around 20 hp(not exactly sure) and have a 100% drop of a few swamp tars(around 2-8 each drop I think), so that might fit your needs, otherwise I'd say that the others posters are right.

What do I train on? ~ Answered, Thanks. Please Lock.
Have you tried fire giants? You can safespot them in the waterfall dungeon easily, and one can be safed in the smoke dungeon. They have a high hitpoints stat with very low defence, which makes them good for training on. They also have a few decent drops, so you'll more than pay for the arrows/bolts/whatever.

A bunch of people from forsakenmage's chat got together and made this: I giant HYT made out of purple dots on the minimap, obviously I am the white dot.

What monster to hunt?
You copy and paste this in every topic with this question don't you. But he speaks the truth. Yep. As long as people keep repeating the same, stupid, incorrect info I'll keep copying and pasting that  Did you even, ya' know, read my post? I clearly stated that I didn't care for camping or grinding and also didn't care about what is the best training spot. I just want something fun to kill for a little while that I can make some money off of. Besides, I'm tired of green dragons. By the way, how does one put a monetary value on charms?

TzTok Jad
My range is currently 43,what's the best and fastest way to get it to 80?i'm willing to pay the bill. Bronze knives on yaks? I didn't access to the yaks yet,but what about iron knives on some other places?are they any good? Fire giants are pretty good for training range, they have low defence and can be safespotted. The best place to range them is in the waterfall dungeon (from waterfall quest), but you there is also a safespot in the smoke dungeon, and you can find them in the chaos tunnels (I don't think that there is a safespot in the ct).

What monster to hunt?
Lately I find myself becoming bored with training on the same old monsters, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what monsters are fun (and profitable) to hunt. The profit part is important, because I only have about 2.3 mil in cash (with all my items, I have several million more). I don't care about it being the BEST monster to hunt for experience/profit (I don't plan on camping/grinding on anything for a long time anyway) fun is more important to me(it's a game after all). My personal preferance would be to have a new dragon to hunt, as I really seem to love slaying dragons...I don't know why, I guess it's just that dragons are the coolest thing the fantasy genre has to offer(in my own opinion). I don't mind if I need to get a few more levels, or if I need to do a quest first(within reason). I already have all the standard gear that I think I would need, including: Barrows melee armour, proselyte, helm of neitiznot, whip, d scim, dds, rune defender, dragon boots, black d'hide, karil's, rune c'bow, ahrim's, amulet of glory, regen bracelet, anti dragon shield, etc. If you think I would need anything else, let me know. I already tried: the giant mole, aviansies, dust devils, dagannoths(chaos tunnels), and a few other random monsters. I found them ok, but not great. I always seem to get the same few monsters for slayer, and I currently feel like taking a break from that, do not suggest slayer. My stats are in my signature, thanks in advance. I might not be able to check this thread again until tommorow, but feel free to post anyway, g'night!

How to kill bronze dragons?
I just had a 35 bronze dragon task the other day, I just put on my barrows armour (torag's plate and verac's skirt), a black mask, d boots, glory, d scim(was training strength), and an anti dragon shield. I could tank them easily using pineapple pizzas as food and using antifire pots to keep fire damage at 0. A superset REALLY helps with this(a full superset, super attack, super strength, and super defence). I hit a good number of mid 20s and killed them pretty fast, and my spirit cockatrice's mage attacks actually hit it a few times(plus the familiar took a good number of hits for me). All in all, it was a fast easy task that I actually got good drops on. I got a dragonstone, a rune longsword, an addy plate, and a loop half. These plus a few dragon bones made it a profitable task considering it was only 35 kills. Have fun out there.

Back, after two years. =/
Whether or not barrows is still "worth it" depends on one's luck and how much you would be able to make with other methods. If I were you, I'd stick to mining rune. If you still want to barrow for fun or other reasons, you should know that many people now use salamanders for barrows, as you can hit fairly high with a magic based attack that doesn't cost very much per use. Finally, transfering items between accounts is against the rules, always has been, probably always will be. Don't bother to try and find a way around the rules. Be sure to read up on all the updates since you left, a lot of things have changed in 2 years. Good luck out there!

Wearing ROW on certain monsters?
You mean to ask about what monsters are worth using a ROW on? Well, I'd say if the drops you want are rare, then bring it. If it's something like dragons(meaning the worthwhile drops are common or 100%) you are much better off with a warrior, berserker, explorer, or any other kind of ring that you like. Since I don't know what kind of drops you are after, I'll let you judge which specific monsters for yourself.

Brrows
Rfd gloves are the gloves you can buy from the chest in lumby castle's basement after starting recipe for disaster(rfd), mith + would indicate the mithril looking gloves or better. Just wear a melee helm, or a splitbark helm if you want a little magic boost. If you are using slayer dart, the slayer staff is the only weapon, for air wave use an air staff. Bring range gear to kill ahrim. I'd reccomend checking the barrows guides on the aow or in general guides. Have fun out there!

Dragon: Whats next?
I'd like to see a dragon shortsword for sure. I'm thinking a special attack something like this: Dragon short sword, special attack: run through, A vicious stab through your opponent's armour, it ignores 50% of your opponent's stab defence and hits up to 30% higher than normal. Uses up 50% of the bar. It would need at least that good of a spec to see any use at all, but I'd like to see it become one of the more common dragon items, like the scimitar and dagger, instead of following the current path of the dragon claws.

I'll bet he has to as most laptops are that way. That's what I was doing, I think I said that in my original post. Hand on, lemme try again. EDIT: nope, still not working. In other news, I can't seem to get tif to work in firefox. I log in, then immediately get logged out. Help? If you need more info, I am using an hp pavilion dv 9000 laptop running windows vista as the operating system. One last piece of information I need before making any accusations. Hit the FN button again and Scroll [Num Lk]. Tell me if the blue light comes up. I'm just guessing that your is like mine, since I have a dv6000. Well, scroll and num lock do not share a key on my latop's keyboard, but I hit them both while pressing fn and didn't get a blue light to come on...I'm not sure what you mean by the blue light though. My scroll button appears as:insert[scroll] Num lock is by itself
