  1. So I don't have to do anything, just printscreen and paste in paint, even though it seems like nothing happens? Ok I'll try it...
  2. Nothing to paste, nothing happens at all.
  3. I'm a little embarrassed by this, but I have absolutely no idea how to get a screenshot of my runescape screen (without using a digital camera). I've been told to use my laptop's print screen button, but nothing happens...at all (yes I was using the function key properly). If anyone can give me a hand with this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help! :)
  4. I'd offer a top prize of something like a cool hat, and secondary prizes of a few gems or something. Just a thought.
  5. The ge lags a lot less if you just turn public chat to friends, most of the lag (for me anyway) comes from talking. Don't quote me on this, I'm not a lag expert since my computer is pretty good.
  6. Spectres and turoths are probably the best, and don't forget to use a macaw for the herb drop boost! I got 4 or 5 ranarrs on my turoth task today, which isn't half bad.
  7. Verac's helps if you like to hunt giant rock crabs (level 137). They have very high defence you know. But otherwise, the set isn't too useful outside of pvp. The armor does have a nice prayer bonus though.
  8. You get banshees and basalisks from sumona? I hate banshees, but I'd love to have a basalisk task. Currently I'm in a loops of fire giants and turoths, occasionally broken by a (canceled) hellhound assignment. Anyway, I might have found another monster with good guthan's potential... Zamorak warrior in the chaos tunnels! Seriously, I got 4 rune scims, 4 rune daggers, and 6 addy longswords(daggers and swords were alched of course) in one trip lasting close to one hour using only food! Imagine the possibilities guthan's adds to this. Way less crowded and more fun than ankous or other monsters too.
  9. You can basically guthan anything that doesn't need a special helm/shield/ whatever to kill. It's probably best on low defence monsters with good hitpoints.
  10. It'd be cool just to know how much I had played. I know for sure that most of my time has been spent killing monsters for fun and profit.
  11. You are taking too much at face value, they might noit mean that you are got lucky because you have it(or depending on the person, maybe they do), but that you are lucky enough to be a patient person that can stand to work for it. I, for example, am not a patient person. It just isn't my nature, and I consider anyone who is patient and hard working to be lucky to be so. Of course, with some rare items, players might assume you got the item yourself as a rare drop, in which case it is fitting to call you lucky.
  12. I hope not, but wouldn't it be easier to just submit a correction instead of making a thread about it?
  13. The ge has done nothing but help me, and trade limits just make it easier to find a fair price for something(and makes scamming impossible). However, I have nothing against pkers as a whole, I have met some pkers that make me think they don't believe there are real people behind the avatars, but I have also met pkers that I befriended. Personally I don't pk, but that's because I'm bad at it. When I go to a pvp world(fully expecting to lose everything) I enjoy the thrill of it. Anyway, I just wanted to say that you made some very generalized statements in that post, but I like the way you ended that post. Let's here it for 1 year since the game changing updates!
  14. I don't think that there is any point at all in buying junk (unless you want to make someone very happy). Fletching and smithing are basically the best ways to get junk that I know of. Junk is usually accumulated over time, not made for a quick profit.
  15. Happy late birthday andrew gower! Wow, only 30 and so successful. Definitely someone for me to look up to!
  16. I'd love to do a "thank you jagex" parade. The game has improved so much over the last year, and I never staked/merchanted/pked before the big updates anyway, so there were very few negatives to that update(in fact, the only bad thing was that everyone wouldn't stop complaining about it...really annoying)for me. Thanks for making my free time so much more enjoyable!
  17. Tough choice...I very rarely get tasks that I like (stupid sumona :x ), but on the rare occasions that she assigns red dragons, I get to have a great time(until the next task)! Fire giants and turoths are also ok, and those are just about the only tasks I ever get.
  18. corp beast: still hasn't been soloed as far as I know Kill a clan: piece of cake if it's a pure skilling clan, a really good clan would be tough max stackables: why torture yourself getting 2 billion cabbages seeds? 99 slayer at 10 hp: I think someone's working on it, and once I saw someone that only trained slayer and prayer(I thought he was wierd) potato farming extreme: I would just die solo your brother: not sure what this means solo mum and pop: You make no sense...it's scaring me... 200m all: I'm not sure if it's even possible that somebody who played rs from day one could have achieved this 99 combats with 10 hp: can be done, but you wouldn't do very well in most combat situations with 10 hp anyway. I want to add my own everest: Get the max amount of cabbages! Then put them all in the party room for the biggest LOL moment ever! Another would be: solo the corp beast with flowers! And: Beat fight cave using only the wind strike spell.
  19. I always use high detail, at first just to try it out, then afetr realising that it works fine for me I started using it regularly. Now when I try to play in low detail it...just look so bad in comparison. The extra screen space is nice too.
  20. If it's anything like a basilisk(which I once accidentally attacked with a 2h weapon), not even that would help. You simply can't kill cockatrices or basilisks without a mirror shield, your stats quickly drop (mine dropped to low 20's from high 60's before I got away, but it would probably keep going from there) and you get hit hard and fast. Don't even try.
  21. Did you do that quest? ya know, the one after death platue(can't remember the name right now)? And you also need climbing boots in order to get up the rocks. I'd recommend doing edgar's ruse for trollheim teleport aswell. :geek:

    287. You made some decent points in that post. Not enough to make me stop training melee with slayer, but you have a fair arguement there. It did seem a little like you are biased against slayer, but maybe that's just me. It is true that you can get more exp and/or money per hour training normally, but slayer adds more variety to your combat training. Also, I tend to make at least 80k a task, which isn't too bad. I could definitely make more killing green drags, but that just bores me. I also find that I love new challenges, and with a new monster to kill every few slayer lvls I just can't stop striving for the next lvl. All in all, you have a fair argument, slayer isn't the best, but slayer isn't the worst exp/money per hour either. Also you get that decent exp and money at the same time, which I appreciate. I do think that slayer is more fun, which you said yourself that you can't argue with. Camping at one monster like zombie monkeys or other similar monsters is just...extremely boring and that's just not what I want from a game. This is a game after all, so enjoy it rather than boring yourself to death just for a little bit more pixelated experience points ok. :
  23. I don't know what it'll be, but I know I won't be able to use it. :(
  24. All pets are allowed at the ge, but familiars are not. Barring the cockatrice familiars have no variations. Some pets though, do have different colors available depending on where you got them. The chameleon even changes colors!
  25. Use pinapple pizzas as food, and bring a super set. An emergency teleport incase something goes wrong might be smart as it's the first time.
