  1. Just glad to hear that it was user error, and not a bug with jagex treasure trails :D
  2. Unless you're planning on summoning the creature (for useful ones, such as bull ants, terrorbirds, or bunyips, etc.), always trade them back. It will end up saving you millions in shard purchases. Just note them all, one teleport to Watchtower later, and you'll have enough shards to keep on going for another few levels!
  3. You can build watches in your house with a sufficiently high crafting bench in your workshop.
  4. I would advise to earn money based upon skilling, not luck . . . . woodcutting, fishing, and hunter are all decent sources of CONSTANT and assured income, instead of hoping for a random mask.
  5. That's probably it, or else the quality of the screenshot is just really bad. It almost looks like a rune full helm instead of a mithril one, but it might just be a darker setting than I'm used to.
  6. It may just be the picture, but it looks as though you're wielding an iron kite, not a steel one.
  7. Really, you'll soon hear this, junk is not worth making for its own sake. The best way to do it is to use byproducts of skills (unstrung bows, granite, as you're doing now, etc). The tribal clothing method involves buying lots of trading sticks off of the GE, taking them to Tai Bo Wannai village, and buying tons of tribal clothes with them. The problem with this method is that you can only buy 10k sticks off the GE every four hours, so you can't generate 500k of junk an hour as some people claim. If you DO decide to do this method, immediately start stockpiling trading sticks, and recruit a couple friends to do the same. The friends will also buy them off the GE, and will sell them to you. This way, you can use the trading limits to get around the GE limits. I'd say stick with the skilling though.
  8. If you've got all the teleports, or at least most of them, the ectophial, a couple enchanted teleporting items (ring of duelling, games necklace, and skills necklace are all useful), and access to the fairy rings, you can usually get all of them in under ten minutes.
  9. Also, if you've been at it for over an hour, or your hand or wrist starts to hurt, take a break! Go do something else not on the computer that doesn't involve clicking, at least for a couple minutes, to give your nerves a rest and help prevent injury.
  10. The XP you get is per bar, not per item. So if an item uses one bar you get say 50XP, but if it uses 2 bars you get 100XP. Therefore it is faster to smith larger items (plates being the best) and there is no loss of XP. The only difference may be profit. They've fixed it then? Last time I checked with the morphic hammer, it was extra experience granted per item, not per bar. Although i haven't smithed in a day or two so it may have been updated without my knowledge. Also, mithril bolts at the blast furnace are nice because they stack, allowing you to stay there longer than if you're doing plates (unless you're bringing alching runes and high alching the items there as well).
  11. Yes, that's the quest, thank you. It can be started by talking to Ali the merchant in Al Kharid.
  12. People look at the setups, they just don't take time to think about them. They see that you have some boots called "climbing" in, assume that they just have similar stats to the rune or dragon boots they're wearing, and don't bother to look them up.
  13. I get plenty of seed drops, as well as herb drops and steel bars, from moss giants. They're fairly fast kills and the bones are nice experience too.
  14. Generally, you need (on average) about 2k worth of tokens for rune defender. Don't forget the ring of wealth, it DOES help to speed up defender drops.
  15. He's talking about how you used to be able to do things, like open your bank, and the prayer would stay on and not drain, UNTIL THE ACTION WAS INTERRUPTED. It didn't give you unfairly boosted stats, it just looked different when you're at the bank or doing some emote. Once you got attacked, there was no bonus prayer or anything.
  16. Ring of Wealth - enchanted dragonstone ring, improves drops. Don't know if it works on nests though. BTW, I just picked one out of a nest from cutting maples about 5 minutes ago. Woot!
  17. Blackjacking can be done after the quest in the Pollivineach desert town (can't remember the name atm, sorry!). You lure either bandits or menaphite thugs into a building where no other npcs are in line of sight, then use a blackjack to temporarily knock them unconscious (lasts a couple seconds), during which you can pickpocket them with a 100% success rate.
  18. I'd say focus on the strength, if only because the whip can't do that.
  19. I'd say to do the quest! You'll have to do it eventually, as you say. Maybe you could log out just before wherever you usually lag and then switch to your friend's computer? Or if you're going to do it on yours, make sure that you've got all other programs and tabs/windows closed to lower lag?
  20. Investigating? :D  Maybe you could just simply acknowledge their opinions as at least having some merit, too, to stop everyone from getting so angry . . . suggest your own ideas, but don't bash others so much?
  21. Alching is useful, if boring. Look for items on the GE that will keep your losses low.
  22. From the hunter guide: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=woodland_region_map.htm
  23. First off, please go read the tip.it hunter guide on the main site before posting us. And they're in the Woodland piscatoris hunter area.
  24. You have to do the Troll Stronghold quest (or at least start it!) and have climbing boots equipped to get over those rocks.
