When you're wielding the pole, the rats auto-attach themselves and you see a notification in your chat window informing you that you've attached a rat to your rat pole. You can also see them, especially on high definition if you zoom in, or you can remove the rat pole and use the "check" option on it to find out how many rats are attached.

It's simple once you understand. You're playing eight notes. Each PAGE is one note. Therefore, you pick the first note listed in the tip.it guide on the first page, then click the arrow at the top right to advance to page 2. On page 2, select the second note listed in the tip.it guide, then click the top right arrow to advance to page three. Continue to do this until you've put eight notes on eight pages, ONE NOTE PER PAGE.

This = spam, because it's completely worthless. Way to spam that post count, dude. By the way, if you want to save a bit more, consider taking a god trimmed rune skirt instead of torag's legs. It has less protection, but it offers protection from a god (useful if tanking outside the Eyrie) and still has some decent defense bonuses.

I don't know if that would help, since some people on here have accounts differently named than their RS name. By the way, this might do better in the Tech forum.

I'm not flaming, but maybe change the title to also say "Merry Christmas"? And, uh, thanks. Even though I don't celebrate Christmas. So here's my reply: Happy Birthday To You Too!

Wow, that's a lot of capital letters. Almost . . . too many??? This is the Help and Advice forum, and while there might be a tip hidden in there somewhere about selling fish, it's not very clear. Possibly move this to general discussion.
-
Because it's still rare and people are still willing to pay lots of money for it, while people with dragon chains aren't all dashing to sell them in order to get a platebody. No huge increase in supply means that the demand stays high.

Need link to guide for Npc trading or help here
Kellis replied to froman11's topic in Help and Advice
Wow, that's a great guide! Hilarious to read, too. I'd recommend doing a 3-minute run or so and testing to see whether the item will sell before investing thousands in it. Before you buy 300k harpoons, buy 300 first and put them in overnight on the GE to see whether they sell. Other than that, just check up on the GE graphs for prices, and be sure to follow Chaz's last comment and rotate! -

Are you perhaps talking about making junk? That's the only type of NPC trading I can think of - that is, buying items from NPCs that are worth more money on the GE. Is that it? -
Exactly. The helm can usually be afforded after 1-2 games at most, while the weapons and chest/legs cost more, so they take longer to earn. Get a bunch of helms to wear instead.

At the beginning on Jad, consider using some Ruby(e) to lower his hp, then switch to the diamond(e) once it's down a few pegs. It ought to help bring him down faster.

4 pages isn't quick anymore . . . go look up green dragons on the tip.it bestiary site, it will tell you where to find them. The best places are chaos tunnels or in level 12 or so wildy north of Falador, accessible easily by heading NW from Edgeville. Now that we've given you the advice and the next steps to take, go do them! Good luck! :

Yeah, you can't act smart because occasionally the unavoidable idiot will pop up, spamming and flaming and and acting generally moronic, viewing his unwanted complaints and flames as wonderfully helpful to the original topic while everyone else's useful answers appear through his rose-tinted glasses to be worthless. It's not his fault that he wouldn't be able to read if someone chopped his finger off . . . By the way, Ray, I gave useful advice. You were the one who said not to alch, that nightshades were a terrible idea (and you were then immediately proved wrong by another poster suggesting that they can get loads of high-end herblore experience off of collecting them, they just can't be immediately sold), and then you degenerated into ranting. And by the way, insulting other people usually doesn't win arguments, it just makes you look worse. It's the ad hominem fallacy, where the troll in the argument can't find a problem with his opponent's point, so he attacks their character instead with personal insults. Oh, but wait, I'm being smart again. I'll stop posting after this and hope that this thread will pass down the page without another entry. Yes, and "stfu me". There, I said it for you, so don't angrily throw back more insults and let this pass.

Nope, you need 60 to get into the blast furnace for free, otherwise it's 2k. For getting 51-60, I'd recommend iron knives with RoF and SC hammer. They make a profit when all the materials are bought over the GE, so they're a good choice that doesn't require a substantial investment. Do them in runs of 700 (5 full rings of forging) iron bars at a time.

Forget about fighting, focus on skilling. Get 40 fishing for lobsters and 60 woodcutting for yews. Do these to earn money. Consider getting 53 hunter for chins, too, it goes up fast. ALSO, stop making multiple posts 30 seconds apart. They're really not necessary, most of the time. It's a forum, not a chat.
-
Wow, what a terrible idea. Go and gather some resources to earn a couple hundred k. Pick flax and spin into bowstrings. Chop yews or magics. (Also, post your levels so we have some idea what you can and can't do). Fish lobbies, or monks if you've done the quest. Gather cow hides, big bones, anything that doesn't require much fighting. Once you've got ~200k, get a set of full rune armor. Sure, it seems low, but it's honestly the best you can get for now and it'll hold you for a while. Wear it and go skill or kill green dragons (don't forget your anti-dragonfire shield!!!! from the duke of lumbridge), and bank hides and bones. Do this to earn money, it'll only take a few hours of this to get enough for a whip if you're efficient. Buy your whip. If you haven't got 70 attack yet, go out and train for it. Kill something easy like fleshcrawlers, fire giants (while carefully watching your health), or more green dragons for more money. Once you've got 70 attack, your whip, AND some cash, then consider buying some barrows armor. Be sure that when you buy your barrows, you've still got a decent money buffer to pay for repair costs!

FYI my post count is much lower than kents and i joined roughly 6-7 months before him yet noone calls him a spammer. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: That's because we don't see spam from him on a regular basis.

What in the world have you been wearing all this time then??
-
First off, under your tip.it account change your RS type to p2p, since you're obviously paying to play. It says f2p now, which is sad and confusing. Second off, why didn't you buy the d long in Zanaris? It would have been easier than waiting at the GE. Third, sell your halberd immediately, they're not useful for general training. If you want something for strength training before whip, either get a rune scimmy (decent damage, very cheap) or finish Monkey Madness for the dragon scimmy. As for the quest itself, just straight follow the steps in the tip.it guide, read the map, and you shouldn't have any problems. Barrows, now. Barrows sets all require 70 def, as well as 70 mage for Ahrim's and 70 range for Karil's. Barrows sets provide very high defense bonuses, but they degrade (100% over about 15 hours OF COMBAT, while not in combat it doesn't degrade). You DON'T need the whole set unless you want the set effect. Go to the tip.it combat guide to see these. Guthan's provides healing when you're wearing the full set, which is why it's so expensive. For general training, I'd recommend picking up Torag's Plate and Legs just for the defense bonuses. Don't bother with buying it as a set or picking up the weapon. Finally, don't waste 900k or 1 mil on barrows sets before you've got your whip. Keep your current shoddy armor and save up money for the whip first before being sidetracked by armor that you'll regularly have to pay repair costs on.

99 Herblore and Crafting! ^.^ Any help... helps.
Kellis replied to ultimatballr's topic in Help and Advice
Smart means looking at the GE price graphs and watching to see the drops of supply costs. If they've been falling steadily and look like they're hitting a low, buy a whole bunch, so you're prepared. If they've been steadily climbing in cost for the last few days, hold off on buying them and gather more money/pursue an alternative method instead. -
Tzaar caves aren't worth it. Try the Taverly dungeon, or if you don't mind deep wildy, just west of the Mage Arena there are tons.
-
Do the quest. It's short and fairly easy, and there are still 10 penguins afterwards, just some of them are worth double points! It also gives you agility experience and access to an unused agility arena that's worthless, but still cool.
-
Bloodvelds and monsters in the slayer caves for green charms. Basilisks are good, and drop herbs too. Fire giants for gold charms. And profit, too! Greaters drop crimsons, as do cockroaches. They're slightly harder to get. Blues - well, don't grind for those. Monsters in Chaos tunnels generally drop more charms. Head there to do training.
-
Penguins are great! There are 10 hidden all over the world, wandering around, and changing places each week just like the circus. Finding them gets your your skill level*# of points*25 exp in any skill! For hunting penguins, switch to world 60 and try these chats: Riods2525 W60 Pengies Penguins w60 and you should find some people who know where they are in that world. They wander a bit, so be prepared to do some running! As for spending points, spend them on slow, hard-to-raise or expensive skills. Good examples are prayer, summoning, construction, slayer, herblore, or agility. Any skill you need to raise but hate to train.

1. Almost always range, or mage if you don't mind risking a slight money loss. Antifires + anti-dragonfire shield ftw. 2. Duradel.
