Sperm donations
Eaxctly. There are so many children in orphanages waiting to go to a good home, rather than brining a new one into this world. Thew only excuse I can think of is wanting to give birth to your own child...or having some sort of genetic influence... That's really why I'm a bit *eh* about all sorts of medical things such as IVF and whatnot. If you can't have a kid, but want one, it's much better to adopt one imo. There are thousands of children out there that really need a home. Women *are* biologically driven to have children, but I don't see why they can't adopt instead. That's why I plan to adopt if I ever want a kid in the future

Should Jagex start beta testing with players?
Thank you, I will enjoy it :) I would hate to have to pay extra for some kiddies to play updates before I do. If you renamed 'beta testing' to 'early update access' people would be screaming from the roofs. I really don't see how being geographically located close to Jagex HQ deserves you the ability to test the game. Not only that, I really don't think NDA's would work. Someone posts it on a fansite website and the damage is done, there's *no* way they could stop it then.

Tip.It Times - Jagex Interview - 9th May 2010
Looking back, there has been an interview with them back in April 2009, and probably some before this. I think it is a good gesture and though there isn't loads of info on future updates, it's still quite interesting :)

:ohnoes: Those themes sound really interesting to me. Might bring about some game dynamics more than just the appearance of the place imo.

My IRL 99 HP/Constitution Cape
Thanks for all the advice guys! The idea of envelopes looks promising! I'll have to look into it when I have spare time :) And lol, I know it's trimmed, but I had red fabric so... and I'm definitely too lazy to make another cape :P A woodcutting one sounds appealing.

Mod Mark H reveal RuneFest item 2010
Who are you to say what EVERYONE finds fun and what EVERYONE finds not fun, kid? Because if someone finds clicking a shark then clicking a range 1000 times fun, they are either braindead or don't know what video games are supposed to be. (Protip: Entertaining) Keep pretending like you have fun cooking sharks though, it amuses me. Not necessarily. I really don't think people can be judgemental on what is fun. Everyone is different and has their own preferences. Nobody can say that it's wrong to enjoy doing cooking. Because finding something enjoyable is an opinion, it's not fact that 'cooking isn't fun'.

UK Politics Discussion
That is about the dumbest thing said in this thread so far. Just looked at your profile though I didn't really need to to judge your age. I have been voting since the 1960's, so maybe I know a little bit more about it than you. Or maybe you don't. Pretty poor thing to judge someone by their age imo. People can have voted for 40 years and still not really understand what they're voting for. I agree with Jaziek that just because they can run a business, doesn't mean they can run the country. If you have people with successful businesses running the country, what's going to be more important to them? The people or the business? I'm pretty sure I know.

Makes me wish I was Scottish... At least us Northerners don't *quite* like the Tories as much as down south does.

UK Politics Discussion
I was up till 3am watching it (waiting for my local seat to be declared - Labour hold woo!). And managed to miss college this morning quite epically by getting up 4 hours late :P Atm I just hope that Labour can somehow hold on, if not... I don't know... But I have a bigger qualm atm. I am very disappointed in the BBC coverage. As if David Dimbleby and Jeremy Paxman couldn't be any more Conservative... I'm seriously complaining to Ofcom over this.

You do realise its almost a certainty we are going to have a hung parliament and under existing law if we do have a hung parliament the existing prime minister will remain in the roll of prime minister, jsut obv a bit less powerful due to lack of majority. That's what I'm hoping for, but I've realised arguing politics with your grandad is a big no-no  Voted! Now we just have to wait and see. :D

UK Politics Discussion
I should be going to college tomorrow morning, but I'll just see how that works out :P Might be some interesting discussion on the results, though, but I don't want to miss out on watching the results live :D Today I realised there's nobody worse you can argue with about politics than your sick Grandfather who takes The Sun to be the 'only paper that tells the truth.' I kinda tried to say that I don't trust The Sun but he didn't really want to know, and I only managed to convince him that since I'm voting Lib dem (I'm not, though, I just don't want hastle from them all >.<) It's kinda like a vote for the Conservatives since I said the Lib Dems would side with the Conservatives... T_T I'll be happy when it's over and I'm not being told all the time that 'we have to get rid of that bloody Brown'. Not voted yet, since I'm still in college, but I'm definitely going to. ^_^

Yes, I'll be watching the BBC program (I much prefer BBC over ITV tbh). I'll probably watch it on iPlayer and chat with people as it happens :P And yeah, Outnumbered! You should lrn2iPlayer though, rather than recording :P

Eurovision Song Contest 2010
I like seeing the points giving out part, dunno, but I just find it amusing. UK aint gonna win, at least not until we actually put some of our *real* musicians up there. Why don't we ever do that? Why do we just pick some idiot that nobody's heard of? <_<

Well, we can hope at least that it stays that way :) And the electoral reform seems important, but Nick Clegg said it *isn't* a prerequisite. Edit: I just found these cartoons on the BBC website XD This one is of Bigotgate, but I found them all quite hilarious: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/8654926.stm

Voting on the day :) Today's issue seems to be tactical voting. Is anyone going to be voting tactically to keep a party out of your area? A hung parliament seems more and more likely, yet we still don't know who the Lib Dems would 'side' with. This makes me worry a bit, since while the Labour sensibilities are closer to Lib Dem, there are still chances that they'd side with the Conservatives...

Toy Story 3
I remember reading that Pixar won't make sequels unless they can be as good as the original. Can't wait for Toy Story 3, but it doesn't come out until July over here, ftl. And I want to go see it at the cinema >.<

My IRL 99 HP/Constitution Cape
I wonder if people will remember this, but I made an IRL 99 Hitpoints (or constitution, as Tripsis reminded me XD) cape for a competition thingy we had last August. It's actually not that brilliant, and it's been hanging around my bedroom doing nothing for about 9 months. The only real reason that I made a HP cape was because I had a lot of spare red/white fabric lying around from when I tried (and failed) to make a Japanese school uniform  . I've been trying to think of how to improve it. The shoulder pad bits are what I want to fix. They're really botched, with bits of cardboard keeping the shape and actually stitching through the cardboard to keep the material on (lulz). I really like the actual cape bit, and the strips of fabric at the back & front, it's the top bit where it goes on my shoulders that annoys me. Anyway, pictures! [hide] [/hide] Does anyone have any ideas towards making the shoulder pads better? And maybe a good way to hold it around my neck without choking me? :P You never know, I might... need it? *shrugs*. I'm sure there'll be no huge loss though if I can't make it better :P

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
Indeed =/ An STD is a sexually transmitted disease, you don't have it naturally or catch it through anything other than sex (as a general rule). And really, the only way to be sure you definitely DON'T have one, is if you've never had sex. So if you haven't, then you're safe. It's pretty much that simple.

Mod Mark H reveal RuneFest item 2010
I'm not sure there would be another series of whining about it really if they did it in the US next year, but that's just my opinion. But yeah, it's a small untradable item, why are people SO worked up about it? If it was like a bloody Godsword I'd understand, but it's not. It's a little banner or flag or whatever you want to call it. It is unbelievably insignificant!

I believe they want a regional system where people can only go to the areas where they are needed. Eg an area that needs more plumbers will have immigrant workers that can do that skill come there. I believe they said this will be regulated through having a work permit. An employer can only employ someone who is permitted to work in that area, and there would be fines ect if they employed someone who has been given a work permit for other areas. Nick Clegg and David Cameron were arguing about the Liberal's policy on illegal immigrants at the last debate. So I don't entirely understand it, but I think they want to target criminal gangs getting people in and allowing illegal immigrants the chance to become legal and do penance, so to speak, for being illegal. Though community service and stuff. I'm not too sure though.
